The first installment of HM Ward's serial installment into bad-boy Bryan's story is just as expected. Completely unexpected. We've seen bits and pieces of Bryan in the latest Ferro stories and sure he comes across as a rich entitled ass, but holy hell was his play in this just all things douche-bag. We get a glimpse into the explosive nature of these two characters with little to no back story, completely hooking you.
I have no idea what their past holds or even at this point how their future is going to play out. One thing is for certain though, these Ferro boys carry the asshole gene.

I received an ARC of this book and I am so glad that I did! Just when I thought the Arrangement was going to be the one series to keep me guessing, now HM Ward has introduced Bryan Ferro and Hallie in The Proposition. Volume 1 already has me at the edge of my seat wanting vol. 2. Why is Bryan so mad at Hallie? How will their future play out? I am ready for another fun Ferro ride!

First off Bryan Ferro is a complete and total ars hat! Seriously! I would love to kick his sexy behind (because of coarse he is sexy) hard! Ugh what a butt head. How H.M. Ward continuously manages to make the most erotic, sexy, yummy…… wealthy and infuriating men is beyond me. Ugh I seriously just want to kick him where the sun don’t shine because he is an ars hole (is it bad to say I think I’m in love with another Ferro?) Honestly though, I would tell him exactly where to shove is proposition, which now that I think about it the title totally makes sense now.
Hallie is so cute! Awkward, feisty, and adorable just the way I love H.M. Ward’s female characters andjust what every Ferro needs. Kick his butt Hallie!!!
Needless to say I am freaking in love with Holly’s new series which as usual I have to wait….AGAIN for the second one!!! Just when it was getting good BAM end of the book. H.M. Ward love to torture me! Why Holly Why!?!?! All I ever did was love you 8(
On a more positive note love this cover. Super sexy and I am so totally into this new series. Bring on more Hallie and Bryan Ferro!!!
P.S.: Neil needs to go! This is a sexy book Neil not an ice cream shop that only sells vanilla cones! He is a jerk off and I would love to say “See you a-hole!!!”
Should I give you a hint as to what happens in this story since I am pretty sure my rant is over? Yes? Ok so Hallie’s life has just turned upside down and she needs to get her feelings out. So she writes it all out and publishes it. Now she’s wanted everywhere for her amazing book that while she says is fiction well really isn’t. It’s her life, her life with Bryan Ferro the only man she’s ever loved and now he’s set on ruining her if she won’t have sex with him.
See what I mean about the proposition making sense now?
Love this new installment to the Ferro movie and I definitely need to get some more of this amazing series ASAP!

So I took this with me to read while my son was having a (one hour) swimming lesson and to my dismay, I'd read it before the lesson was over. I actually had to watch some swimming. Parent of the year right here.
Anyway...
This was an original set up to the serialized story. Recently bereaved, Hallie writes a smutty story about her sexcapades with her hottie ex as a way of purging her grief and publishes it online. Next thing she knows, she's become an internet sensation, with several publishers fighting one another off with sticks for the rights to publish her. Now with a dullard chap who seems kindly but doesn't know anything other than missionary with the lights off, she's a bit embarrassed about her kinky past and really doesn't want her current boyfriend to know about it.
Then it started to get very odd when she runs into hottie ex who wants to shag her in return for not telling the world the story's real. I have to say I didn't see why this would be such a biggie as it'd be her word against his and he'd have as much to lose as her, but I went with it. The reaction of dullard boyfriend to the proposition was also a bit of a shocker.
So yes, an interesting but not a compelling start to this series. I didn't like any of the characters enough to be interested in reading more. Hallie' s inner monologue was also a little repetitive and depressing and rather slowed the narrative down for me. At least it only took me an hour to read. And it was more entertaining than the swimming. Just. But I can't help but wish I could've read her kinky internet sensation story instead.

First thing you need to know is that this book is a part of a serial, not a series. What does that mean? There may be many books with tons of intense scenes (The Arrangement series by the same author currently has 12 books and it better not be ending soon). This book can be read without having read any of the other's by the same author (at least so far), but reading about the other members of the family will probably help you understand the characters when/if they are brought into this series. I have read ALL of them them day they have been released, if not before. H.M. Ward is, by far, my favorite author.
In this book, we learn about Hallie. A woman who has just lost her father and is trying to deal with his death. Her boyfriend, Neil is supportive, being there for her when she really needs someone. Neil seems to be a VERY straight laced guy. He doesn't veer far off the straight and narrow path. To him, so much of life is black or white.
Hallie does something that brings Bryan back into her life. They used to have a hot and heavy relationship (can't wait to read the sex scenes between these two) but haven't seen each other in a while. The interaction between these two has just begun. Holy christ! Is there literally no Ferro that isn't insanely attractive? Out of all the Ferro boys, I think Bryan could be the worst one and thats rich because Sean is just as bad!
Now, I understand why everyone said Bryan is Sean competition. This should be good. Though Sean is a lot tamer now.
To add, Neil. I liked you in the beginning. Now I truly hate him! What a shitty boyfriend you are!
It's seriously impossible not to get hooked on any of the Ferro boys though mine will forever be, Peter <3

So H.M. Ward as done it again she has created another hot as sin Ferro man so we all can swoon over. WOW Sean Ferro may have a run for his money with his green eyed sexy cousin Bryan Ferro. Move over Ferro brothers there is a new Ferro male in town and he is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!!!
The Proposition is book number one in the new Proposition series and it follows the life's of Hallie a young girl with a distorted past and Mr. Bryan Ferro who is cousin to the hot Ferro brothers. This book starts of by Hallie facing a tragic lost and battling depression because of that, with the help of her boyfriend Neil she tries to feel something other then sadness, but unfortunately Neil can't help her. So because of her loss Hallie decides to write a stemming and erotic novel to cope with her depression and set things into perceptive. She decides to publish it because she honestly doesn't think anyone will read it. Little does she know that her hot little story becomes a best seller and everyone is reading it. With this new fond acknowledgment Hallie becomes scared because the little fictional book she wrote is far from fiction , is actually true events , HER events with her ex- boyfriend and you guessed it her "ex-boyfriend" is no other then Bryan Ferro. And here is where the story takes it's turn. With Hallie trying to hide the truth from her boyfriend and the public, she is also trying to hide it from the man that once drove her crazy, the last thing Hallie needs is Bryan Ferro coming back into her life because something she did that could of been prevented.
This book is amazing I'm already HOOKED and this is only the first book. I like Hallie she's been through a lot ,but you can see she's a very strong person and determined to do something with her life. We didn't get a lot of Bryan because we were getting to know our new H.M. Ward heroine Hallie ,but the little we get of Bryan shows that he won't come unnoticed. The guys hot and sexy and he has the dark side that all the Ferro man carry which makes him even more sexy.
We are left with a cliffy ,but that is to come excepted when it comes to H.M. Ward and her amazing stories. We are left wanting more which always happens and especially more of Bryan Ferro I can't wait to get to know him more, so I guess I will have to just seat and wait till The Proposition 2 comes out, which I hope is very soon.
I give this book 4 new book series Stars I'm excited to have a new couple to drool about and especially a new Ferro to swoon about. This is classic H.M. Ward if you are a fan of the author and the Ferro brothers then you should enter the life of Bryan Ferro I assure you , you will not be disappointed only until the book finishes because you would want more and more.

I loved this book! I received this book as an advanced review copy and I can honestly say this book is amazing! Holly has done it again! I cannot wait until the sequel comes out so that I can travel the road that Holly so vividly paints for us all through her magnificent writing. I loved the story line because the road the characters are taken on is in my opinion completely unexpected although I was pleasantly surprised. I love all the Ferro boys, but I have to be honest and tell you that Bryan has captured me completely. His character is so not what I expected from the previous mentions of him in Holly's other books. This depiction of him is soooo much better!! When it comes down to sweet and loving Peter is my guy, but when you talk about dark, commanding, and sexy BRYAN is most definitely my guy.... Keep up the great work Holly I love your books!

Wonderful beginning to a new series! You can't help but fall in love and sympathize with Hallie.
There are a lot of unanswered questions and I can't wait for more of their past to unfold.
Only negative... by the number of pages in this book, I can't help but question if this series is going to be a volume of short books like The Arrangement series. That would totally suck!!!!!!

What is the deal with this book being so short? I mean, you just get into it and it stops. Seriously? It was like two paragraphs long, maybe 20 minutes of reading and its over. It seemed to have a somewhat reasonable storyline, although I didn't really get how Bryan could possible ruin everything for her. So what if he came out and said the book was about him, seemed to me like that could only cause more people to want to read it. And if it was going to harm anyone it would be him. But I guess you have to have some sort of controversy to cause them to become reunited. Whatever. And what's with mr stick in the mudd Neil? He's so uptight, condescending and prudish then all at once does an about face and becomes her pimp? Not a very well thought out character at all IMHO. There was just so much more that could have been done with this storyline and cutting it up into such short installments just makes no sense other than the profit from selling it a chapter at a time.
Im not even going to bother continuing with the next book/chapter. From the reviews I have read it seems to be just as short and lacking. It's like this whole series could have been combined into one book. I understand the idea of leaving the reader wanting and anticipating the next installment in the series. But the brevity of these is just absurd. Unless you are looking for something to fill a twenty minute wait in line somewhere then I would not recommend this series at all.

This book is just WOW! I must admit I was definitely not expecting that at all! The start is really sad and you might need a box of tissues at hand when you read it. I felt really sorry for Hallie for her loss and I felt her pain! Hallie’s boyfriend Neil is a strange character for what he urges her to do and that completely shocked me! I love how the story has that twist to it! Bryan Ferro, well I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of him and I look forward to how this story continues. Overall, this story is brilliant and amazing like all the other Ferro series! I definitely recommend this and all the other Ferro series to everyone!

Read ARC. HM Ward gives another wonderful book in The Ferro Brother's series. Only this time it's their cousin Bryan who was briefly introduced during Stripped the book about Jonathan Ferro.
This book is as ever an addicting roller coaster ride that leaves you with a cliff hanger on the edge of your seat wanting more, DYING for the next part of the series to come along and letting your imagination run wild until it does. Ward is just that good or devious I think.
Love this sentence!!!!! Because as a true fan of her writing it really pertains a lot to Ward herself
"I find it difficult to believe you have no interest in such things on a personal level when you can write about them with such intensity"

Ummmmm, this book sets the series up good. Hallie really gets on my nerves, because come on, your bf is a complete jack wad and is using you but you clearly can't see it, I suppose, but now that Brian is in the picture I can tell everything will get better. Seriously, if Brian didn't come along no way would I keep reading, but he's totally made the book. To be continued, onto the next.....

Once again H.M Ward has come up with a BRILLIANT plot but has written a short story that takes about 2 hours to read. I HATE HATE HATE how the story is split up into short stories. It's a waste and so horrid. I always have trouble finding the next one :/

So I feel a little stupid. I just knew I was reading a series about Bryan Ferro a cousin of the Ferro Boys and I was very excited because I'm interested in all things Ferro. But the name of the series never really clicked in my head. It wasn't until I was in book 2 that i clicked why this series is called the Proposition and of course it is aptly named. Either way it is obvious that there is more to this than meets the eye and I can't wait to find out what it is. What is really making this time bomb tick. The hidden secrets in this are killing me. And Neal is a jerk. See you in book 2.
So I'm attempting to read the Ferro Books in the order the author recommended. It is an extremely difficult task. What I can tell you is that Arrangement, Damaged & Proposition really meld together so well. It is a juicy tale of drama that is fun to read. Stripped is a part of the books but not tied in a lot, just minimally, but you need to read them. The Trystan Scott series books 1-5 really don't connect all that much except to give Trystan's character a back story. It is not super important to the Ferro's but they were a fun read and entertaining. They enhance his character but not completely necessary. I recommend them but if you are time crunched you're good. The Scandalous books are pointless. One person in our book club read them and they had NOTHING to do with the Ferro's. Finally the Wedding Contract, although it is about Nick Ferro it really doesn't tie into the Ferro's story. It is a breakaway book that if it wasn't Nick Ferro would just be a great story. So again if you are time crunched it is not a necessary book. So far reading them in order is difficult but entertaining.

Okay so I've had to pee for like an hour but frig that - I was totally holding it for Bryyyannnn... So Sean just MAY have a run for his money. Move over Sean, Bryan is in town and he's NOT holding back. Well maybe a little.
As one of the Ferro Goddesses, I'm totally in my glory. Yep, I totally just took the title - take the Mel! :P You go play with your Mr. turkey... :D
Man, the scenes were smoking hot. I totally HATE Neil... He's a version of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory except ummm, I LOVE Sheldon. Neil and his Logical Thinking can go sit in the corner! I think not - hit the road asshole. You'll get what Karma is going to send your way.
Man, I was glued. So at first, yep, you guessed it - old faithful brought her tearing head to the game. So as with all of my other reviews I try not to put spoilers but I do want to add one thing that I found really sealed the deal for my hatred towards Neil (the dirty heel) so reader beware Yeah, go suck a rotten egg why don't You. There were so many other things that he did and said but that was the nail in the coffin... Although he had tons of other stuff spew out of his stupid mouth after that little thought...

Okay so I've had to pee for like an hour but frig that - I was totally holding it for Bryyyannnn... So Sean just MAY have a run for his money. Move over Sean, Bryan is in town and he's NOT holding back. Well maybe a little.

Man, the scenes were smoking hot. I totally HATE Neil... He's a version of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory except ummm, I LOVE Sheldon. Neil and his Logical Thinking can go sit in the corner! I think not - hit the road asshole. You'll get what Karma is going to send your way.

Wow what a way to kick off a serial! H.M Ward brings us another Ferro brother series and boy does she bring it. This first installment of The Proposition series is based around the Ferro named Bryan. If you haven't read any of her serials, this would be a great one to start with. It's going to be a short one compared to the others, approx 5 novellas in all. So let me give you a brief synopsis of the first installment to this new series and you be the judge.
Hallie's world is crumbling around her. The only person in the world to still love her has died, her adopted father. As she's trying to deal with his sudden death, she's informed that the house they shared is being foreclosed on as well. So to top it all off, she's now homeless and to come to her rescue is her "Leave It To Beaver" boyfriend, whom has asked her to move in with him. She agrees out of necessity and completely shut down. To help her cope, she decides to write a biography about the only other man she's loved in her life, Bryan Ferro. She's hoping that by purging her past in a tell-all book (she changed the names though) and publishing it in cyber-space, that she can finally pull herself out of her depression and move on with her nice, safe boyfriend but what she doesn't know is that while she was deep in her funk, the world has discovered her book and can't get enough of it!
When she finally surfaces, she's bombarded with people clambering to know if it's true or not, including her boyfriend. To protect herself, she claims it as fiction, only to run into Bryan again whom knows the truth and decides to blackmail Hallie to do his bidding.
I know, right???
Can I just say, I love HM Ward!!! She's done it again with another wonderful start to a new serial. I'm definitely hooked and will continue to follow these two fabulous characters.

Holly does it again! Just when you think that there's nowhere else she can take a story, she gives us The Proposition!
In the beginning, I wanted nothing more than to wrap Haillie in a hug because that girl's had some serious heartache in her life! Then, I wanted to cut her because having a book that she thought wouldn't be seen by anyone go viral that quickly is pretty much any author's dream!
Neil, oh Neil, I want to punch him in the junk! He's a serious douche canoe and really deserves to have someone put his nuts in a vice. But, I'm not violent ;-)
After all the craziness surrounding the book Haillie wrote, suddenly, here comes Bryan Ferro. I'm thinking I really need to read the book she wrote...just so that I can get an idea of what Bryan is really like! But, I know Holly's going to make it crystal clear when the next volumes come out. And, we definitely know why this is "The Proposition" because the proposition he makes just might melt your panties!
H.M. Ward is an amazing storyteller. She has this knack for bringing characters to life, to the point where characters that you would normally think are insane (Hi Sean!) become your favorites and you start hoping for them to get their HEA.
The Proposition series is short - but they're serials, so they're supposed to be. I can't wait to read #2!!

Um... Bryan is nothing like Sean and in all honesty Bryan makes Sean look like a damn saint. Hallie's current boyfriend Neil he's just wow kick him in the nuts, "that's not passion, sweetie. It's morally devoid to go at it like beasts. You're a smart woman, does it really appeal to you to act like a mindless animal?" Bryan he just needs to grow on me because right now all I see in him is a**hole, "don't pull that s***, Hallie. It's way past that point and we both know it. You used me and I'm returning the favor." He makes Hallie seem like she's going to be a slave/dog it's like when he says jump she jumps or else, "I say lots of things, but since you're here, let's be more upfront with my intentions. You come to me when I call for you and your secrets stay quiet. You can go on telling your lies and I won't say a damn thing." Of course when the man is getting some and getting his way like all other men he is sweet, "you like that idea, belonging to me. Being mine in every conceivable way." At first I only meet his gaze. "Answer me." Yeah he needs to grow on me I'm not seeing any redeeming qualities in his a** that I like all he has going for him is the looks.

Um did I read the same book as the other reviewers?
This book is awful. Not to mention a complete rip off. I read it on my kindle and each "book" costs around £2 and for that you get between 50mins to 1.5hrs of reading. With 6 books that's a fair cost especially for ebooks, so you want it to be good right?
Well it's not.
It's incredibly poorly written. All the characters were completely unrealistic and infuriating!!! I found myself repeatedly rolling my eyes and putting the book down, even once the hero character does a ridiculous U-turn 180, I still wasn't rooting for them... They were so unlikeable! The scenes (along with the characters) were completely underdeveloped and the plot was empty.
Argh I found these books infuriating.

I received an ARC for an honest review! Wow Bryan ferro what a jerk!!!! I honestly thought this book would have been longer but I couldn't put it down! I have grown to love and crave most books of Holly's since I read the arrangement series! I can't wait to read more about the ferro family and trystan Scott!! Hallie has has a lot of shit thrown at her and Bryan just makes things 100 times worse for her!! And WTF is the deal with Neil!! If that was me he would have got a nice kick and left!! Can't wait to read the rest of Hallie and Bryan's story!! Also can't believe that holly is still keeping up with all her books when she's been so ill lately!!

Let me start out by saying that Neil needs one hell of an ass kicking...what a douche! Now on to the point of this book...wow HM has done it again with the Ferro men. I like Hallie's character. You can tell that there are some thing in her past that she tries to not let them define her. I love her response at the end and I'm sure it left Bryan reeling. I am excited to read more about these two. Like the other female leads in the Ferro books Hallie definitely fits the bill. She is quirky and has a strong personality and you really glimpse it when she interacts with Bryan. I'm excited about this series and can not wait for more!

I receive this as an Honest ARC review and I can honestly say woo hoo totally loved this book. If you have read any of H.M.'s stuff and loved it this is no different. Hallie has lost her dad and is devastated but her wonderful boyfriend is there to help. Neil is the perfect boyfriend who is always there not pushing her. However during her grief she does what a lot of people do and write stuff done. Well that brought back the hot as sexy Bryan back into her life. Only things are not as they seem and Hallie has no idea what she has done to piss off Bryan other than writing secretly about him. Read on to find out what she has done and what he wants from her.

WOW. I totally underestimated this book. But, what can I say? The Ferro family really has a special place in my heart.
