This story from Jenika pulled me in from page one. Loved this story so much. Poppy and Blake both lost the most important person in their lives – her husband and his brother, Jon. Poppy and Blake started talking more and being there for each other. The more they talked, the more they worked through the pain of losing Jon. They were able to start to get through the grief and got closer each time they talked. They get even closer when she moves to Alaska and they start to live together. The attraction and chemistry between them was too intense for them to ignore. The problem is that they shouldn’t be together. He is her husband’s brother, that means he is off limits, right? Great story and wonderful characters.

Love through time

This was a tragic and heartbreaking story. This is a re-release and has been updated. Poppy and Blake share a connection from childhood and her marriage to his brother. A tragic event happens and Poppy comes to live with Blake a bit later. This is a story about healing and finding your true happiness.

Poppy lost her husband Jon two years ago in a car accident and now she is ready to move on with her life. She leaves her job and family behind and moves to Alaska with her brother in law, Blake, who has been living there for a few years. They have spoken on the phone almost every day since the accident and have become close confidants. From there, they realize their feelings for each other but someone doesn’t want them to be together.. I wish this story was more fleshed out. Having just read a similar book, I expected way more from this. The characters felt very flat and one dimensional and I hated the cliché psycho woman at the end. The overall premise about love after loss really touches me but this just didn’t hit the mark.

The Edge of Forever by Jenika Snow is a wonderful novel. Ms. Snow packed a lot of story into this short novel. I chose this book to review because it peaked my interest after reading the summery.

Poppy always knew whom she was going to marry and spend the rest of her life with until one day when he was taken suddenly from her along with her unborn child. Poppy is coping with life after the accident and not really living it until she moves across the country to Alaska to start over. I found it a brave and adventurous thing to do.

Blake is grieving for the loss of his brother. He wants to help Poppy deal with her grief even though he had a crush on her for years. Blake is a hot and sexy man who has not made the best decisions regarding women and with limited number of women in town it’s even harder.

The chemistry between Blake and Poppy is blistering hot. The sex scenes were hot and spicy. I found enjoyable to watch them fight there attraction before falling in bed with each other rather than fight it after they sleep together.

Overall, this author did a wonderful job of telling this story even though I found it hard to believe that long term a relationship with the brother in law of her dead husband will work. I have enjoyed every story that I have read by Ms. Snow and I am on the lookout for the next book by her.

Jenika writes contemporary romances wonderfully. I loved Poppy's story. Blake paid a very important roll in the Poppy's life but so did Jon. So I felt the book was more her story then Blake's. This book had more anguish in it then Jenika's other books and I liked it.

Heartbreakingly beautiful is the first thing that comes to mind after reading this book.

After the death of her husband Jon in a car accident Poppy packs and leaves for a fresh start to find solace with the one other person who loves and misses Jon as much as she does his brother Blake, but never in her wildest dreams did Poppy foresee what would start out as comfort becoming so much more.

This read broke my heart and took me down a path I haven’t been in a long time but there’s always light at the end of the tunnel, eventually the storm passes and you can breath again.

Jenika Snow captured the emotions and the darkness that descend after a tragedy of losing someone you love so suddenly, it’s like she looked inside my head and pulled out every thought and emotion I seriously love this author.

I absolutely loved this story that included so many emotions: love, loss, heartbreak, depression, guilt, renewed, and love again. Poppy has lost her husband, Jon, on a car accident that they were both in involved in. After two long years, she decides to relocate to Alaska to stay with Blake, Jon's older brother to get her feet on the ground and heal. Blake and Poppy have found a connection when Blake started talking on the phone with Poppy. Poppy finally takes Blake up on his offer to come to Alaska to get away and see new scenery. Blake and Poppy start having serious feelings for each other but a work colleague of Blake's isn't to happy. Will Poppy be able to find love again, with Blake, without having backlash from the two family's and friends? Loved! Loved! Loved, this story of healing and a second chance at love. This isn't a story that you will want to miss out on!❤

Everything changes for Poppy with one accident. Now she is trying to move on and decides to move to Alaska where Blake former her brother-in-law lives. Sparks fly between them but Poppy feels like someone else has his attention or claim on him. When Blake tells her how he feels she feels free to let go and explore what they have. However an ex of Blake's isn't happy about being left behind and tries to cause trouble. Will Poppy find her second chance with Blake? Will his ex prove to be more of a problem than they thought?

This is an amazing story about a second chance at love. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Jenika Snow has taken Poppy and Blake on such a heartbreaking and heartwarming journey in this story. She's lost her husband in an automobile accident and he lost his brother. They've talked on the phone almost daily becoming each other's support system while trying to deal with what's happened. When Poppy decides she's going to leave the life she knows and move to Alaska to be closer to Blake neither are prepared for the amount of emotional and physical chemistry they've acquired for each other. It's a slow burn that suddenly ignites but not everyone is happy about the turn of events. This was a great story that I'm happy to recommend

This is a powerful story of loss, grief, healing and finding love again in unexpected places. Poppy and Blake's story is poignant and emotional. Toss in some drama, tension and a bit of suspense and you had a very engaging read. My one thing that left me a touch unsatisfied was the books length. This is a novella length read and personally, I thought the story being told was maybe too big to completely do it justice. I felt that there was a lot of untapped potential here and depths that I would have loved to explore in a longer format. Still, a very good book. This is my frank freely posted review.

This is the story of Poppy and Blake. Blake was Jon's brother and Jon was married to Poppy, until the accident that took his life. When Jon died Poppy was at a loss, not wanting to open up just lived, then she wanted to more. She moves to Alaska to be with her brother-in-law Blake, since they both were going throught the same pain. Blake and Poppy started to become more to each other. I loved this book and I loved the characters, I cried, a lot. This just hit me in such a way, this book was fantastic. Loved it.

Poppy grew up with Jon and Blake. She married Jon. One night, Jon and Poppy are involved in a terrible accident. Poppy lives and 2 years later, she decides to move to Alaska. Blake has been talking to Poppy daily and has convinced her to move to Alaska. As they get to know each other, they start to develop feelings but still feel guilty. Blake also works with a woman named Maggie. Maggie plays an interesting part in Blake and Poppy's love story. This story could be based on reality. The characters are relatable.

Poppy lost everything the day an accident took the life of her dear husband.
Blake lost his younger brother in an accident and since that day his life changes drastically.
Having supported each other after their loss, Poppy decides to leave everything behind and move to Alaska with Blake.
The author explores the loss, the sorrow, the regrets of two people who are trying to move on after a tragic loss.
A very emotional story that takes us from the deep sorrow of having lost a loved one to the happiness of having found a new love.

Shatters your heart and then pieces it back together

Just the title of this book makes you swoon.....The Edge of Forever. Yep it makes me think of an classic old movie with an epic love story that fades to black during the naughty bits. The story of Poppy Matthews and Blake Ellis is definitely this type of story......EPIC and emotional but still leaves in the naughty bits.
This book is wonderful written with a story-line that had you reaching for a box of tissues. The characters are well developed and have a depth to them which shows their fragility and their strength. I really enjoyed this book and would RECOMMEND it to other readers.

This book, uugghhh, so sweet and touching. I normally would avoid books where the H and h are in-laws, but this one is quite irresistable. I like the way the author wrote the plot where both character's love grow over time, over understanding, faith, hurt, and compassion. Most love in a real life started that way, instead of instant one. And this one, oh boy, take the icing on the cake so easily. The way it plays out for both character, makes me smiling (in a good way) and believing that romance and love is not dead yet!

I thought that this was a heartwarming book. Poppy and Blake's story was really sweet. Poppy thought that she lost everything when her husband died but with Blake, she was able to find her way back and find love again. These two did not have it easy, they had to deal with a crazy co-worker, their own guilt, but also how their families will approve of their relationship but their love will give them a very sweet HEA. I would recommend this book and Ms. Snow's other books.

Jenika Snow has re-released The Edge of Forever. I remember reading it the first time around and loving it. Now that it's been re-released, I still love it. The emotions of Poppy, who loses her husband in a car wreck, and Blake, who was Poppy's brother in law, are raw and emotional. Poppy moves to Alaska to get away from all the memories of her late husband, Jon. That's where Blake lives. I enjoyed reading about the journey these two characters go on to discover that love will always find you.

This is one emotional book that had me crying from the prologue alone. I felt Poppy’s pain and her depression and was just crying along with her. Loved her friendship with Blake and how that not only helped her heal but him as well. It wasn’t easy moving on, but the connection and chemistry they shared was undeniable. I love that there weren't any doubts as to their feelings but more outside influences that kept them apart. I held my breath on more than one occasion and in the end I was crying again, but from happy tears this time.

It turned out to be an emotional read for me. It is exceptionally written and heartbreakingly beautiful. These two were both scarred from life. I loved the play on words. Miss Snow did not skimp at all on this story! It was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Miss Snow has written a wonderful story of love and compassion that will break and heal your heart. One of those stories you will cherish!

I received a free copy of this book.

This is not a long book at all. Most of it is a sweet story of a widow who became really close with her husband’s brother while grieving together in phone conversations. They don’t realize how their feelings have changed until they are cohabitating. Then drama comes from themselves trying to come to grip with their feelings while dealing with a coworker. I really liked the families overall. Good read.

The author is pulling at our heart strings and not letting go. Poppy and Blake are still hurting over the death of Jon, her husband/his brother, two years later. When she moves to Alaska and lives with Blake, it is as if they can help each other heal. But, what will be the consequences they will have to face?

I’ll be honest in saying that I really wasn’t sure if I would like this book when I started reading it but again, Jenika Snow did not disappoint!
Blake and Poppy’s love story is unconventional but still soo good. Loss and tragedy brought them together but love kept them there. It was intense and I never could have guessed all of the crazy twists this book would take but I really enjoyed it!

A touching story, with a touch of the forbidden. The relationship between Blake and Poppy grew over time, with each one helping the other deal with the loss of Poppy's husband and Blake's brother. Jenika Snow does a wonderful job of portraying the loss they have suffered and the journey they both have taken to heal and move forward.
