I was an avid reader of romance fiction before I was able to follow my dream of becoming a published author.

It took nearly thirty hard-knock years before beginning that journey. If not for them, however, I never would have known how to create the kind of raw, human, emotion I want my readers to feel during their journey into my world of contemporary, historical, and suspense romances.

You'll find my characters relatable, flawed, sometimes wounded and broken who eventually find what we all seek out of life ... a deep connection, being understood and accepted, and with an ever-lasting love grown from it all. I write about life and the lessons learned from its experiences and welcome you into my world. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and hopefully be inspired in some small way.

Have a blessed day & hugs from me to you.icons located at the bottom of my w

A riveting tale you do not want to miss! Taken from my review at RomanceJunkies.com:

Detective Beth Hunter’s six years as an undercover police officer with the Alta police department prepared her for the burglar who broke into her home in the middle of the night. The surprise -- her burglar was a hunky FBI agent. Had it not been for the recent death of her father, she would not even have been home. She and her father had been estranged after she changed her major and went into criminal justice. Her father had wanted her to work with him, excavating sites as an archaeologist like him.

FBI agent Jeremy Steele had planned on having five days to search the lieutenant’s home. No one told him Detective Beth Hunter had cancelled her vacation. With the death of her father, Beth became the prime target of Jeremy’s investigation. He is sure that her father left her two very important artifacts, and Jeremy must retrieve them. For the past six months, Jeremy has been tracking her archeologist father. Three months ago, Beth’s father discovered a crash site…an alien crash site and now there is a huge crystal missing, along with a scribe. Retrieving and concealing their existence is vital to national security.

As Jeremy tries to get her to join forces with him, Beth tries to evade him. Setting out on her own, Beth follows the clues her father left her, which are in the form of riddles that she must solve. The clues lead her on a cross country hunt, but when Jeremy catches up with her once more, he convinces her to join forces. After all, he can protect her from those who are also looking for her father’s find, while she searches.

As their search leads them into mysterious places with danger following closely on their heels, their relationship turns passionate and an intimacy develops that Beth has never experienced before. As she ponders the possibility of and longing for a future with Jeremy, they make a discovery that may change all of the history books and life itself.

A riveting tale, KEEPER’S WATCH ~ THE WIND, the latest book by author Cynthia Roberts, is an intriguing contemporary science fiction romance that will lead you on an unbelievable journey and leave you questioning the world as you know it. As you get wrapped up in the relationship between Jeremy and Beth, their discoveries will have you rethinking past events and how our future actions affect the life we have come to know. Jeremy and Beth are two exceptional individuals. He is fire and she is ice, but together, they are magical. I found myself rooting for them to have a happy ending as they embarked on a quest to save Mother Earth and humanity itself, righting the wrongs of government and society up to now. Packed with complex characters, a creative, spellbinding plot, imagination, extraterrestrials, Native Americans, thrilling adventure, riddles, prophecies, scorching sensuality and true love, this story is one you will not soon forget. It will keep you thinking long after the last page is read and the book is closed.

I enjoyed this story a great deal and quickly became enthralled by their adventure. But my words do not do this story justice; only by reading it can you experience the riveting nature of this story. If you are looking for an enthralling story with plenty of heat, humor and adventure, look no further than KEEPER’S WATCH ~ THE WIND!

With thanks to the author and GR, I was lucky enough to win a copy of this novel which I enjoyed reading. It's full of action, adventure, and romance that's sure to capture the attention of many. As much as I enjoyed the story, I thought it moved along at a very fast pace. While the attraction and heat between Beth and Jeremy was evident, I thought that Beth's feelings for Jeremy switched from cold to hot way too fast. It was hard to believe that one minute she couldn't stand him, but just a few days later she was falling for him. It just didn't ring true as to her character. While reading "Keeper's Watch," it was hard not to compare it to an Indiana Jones' movie or the X-Files. By the way, it was hard not to love Jeremy's character as he's oh so sexy.

I won Keeper's Watch here on Goodreads. I entered the contest because the blurb sounded interesting but I wasn't too sure if I would like it.I don't normally read many books where romance is a major part of the book as it is in Keeper's Watch. I finished reading it this morning. It turns out that I did like it and will be buy the next book in December.
Detective Beth Hunter has worked for the Alta police department for several years so when she woke up to the sound of someone breaking into her home she thought she was prepared to face the intruder. When she discovered the would be burglar was FBI agent Jeremy Steele and when he told her that he was there looking for an artifact that her recently deceased Archaeologist had found. Beth has no clue what Jeremy is talking about and sends him on his way. Then Beth finds a riddle her father left and the adventure begins. At first she refuses Jeremy help but when it becomes obvious to her that she isn't going to be able to get rid of him so they team up to find the artifact her father hid.
There is romance, mystery, action, adventure, volcano, mountain climbing, car chases, mysterious bad guys,sci-fi scavenger hunt and when they find what they are searching for it is so much more than Beth had expected.
Ms. Roberts writing flows well and is smooth. Her descriptive details is excellent.

However there is a couple things that bothered in a couple of the scenes Beth went from the strong, independent woman to cowering behind Jeremy. Another thing and its just one of my issues. Beth is described throughout the book as a redhead then near the end of the book someone compared her to having wheat colored hair.

Keeper's Watch was a good book. I recommend it.

When I saw this book launched on Cynthia's facebook page I thought, "What ... a sci-fi romance?" Not a genre I'm a fan of but, this one was a sweet surprise. I've read all of her books and thought she was basically a historical/contemporary writer. Talk about not pigeon-holing into any one genre. To me, it was more like a thrilling suspense with a little sci-fi thrown into the mix. I've been a fan since day one and this one surprised the heck out of me. I bought the E-Book version and woke up with blood shot eyes because I couldn't put it down. I loved Beth's feisty personality, the way she bantered with Jeremy, how the sexual tension grew between them and when they finally got together ... well ... it was hot !!!! The story was compelling and believable and pulled me in the moment she discovered her father's first riddle that sent her on a perilous journey I never saw coming. What she wrote, I could see happening in real life ... imaginable ... believable and truly well written. Great job Cynthia! I'll be looking for Book 2.

As usual Cynthia has done it again.. I love this book, I stayed up most of the night to finish it. Got so involved with the book and could not put it down. Love the relationship between Beth and Jeremy. Beth has won my heart, but the jury is still out on Jeremy. Love the story line, but the message behind it was awesome. Cynthia, just waiting for December to get here. I want the next book...

This is book was surprisingly satisfying, and well worth the read. The start is a little rocky and some of the writing is shaky, but once the story finds its feet it is a fun and thrilling fantasy romance.
