Hmmm... You know, in the previous book, I could have sworn that Murmer said his body was Fey (and I just read the two back to back; my memory isn't that flaky). Now, he's attracting the Fey to the CODD and nobody is going to notice? Emmm... Right.
And our h is Mab's great granddaughter. All of Mab's sons are...dead. Ok, wonder why. No, not really.
So our h, who doesn't believe in supernatural anything, finds herself meeting...lots. Somehow she manages not to run screaming into the night, although she did take a walk on the beach and run into our H. Much excitement (some good, some not so good) later, they're an item. There's a certain sense of ahh...sameness I guess...one picks up when reading the this close together, like there must be a battle of some sort near the end to overcome...SOMEthing...in the way of a HEA. This one gives us two - since the H is a demon, he has an evil overlord type he has to answer to, although he's not been to the underworld since he landed he Fey body. The overlord wants him to return because...the longer they stay on earth, inhabiting a body, the less inclined they are to rain death and destruction on mankind. He's been around a while so... Yeah; he and another demon refuse to return, master comes to drag them home, battle number one ensues.
Battle number two ended up being a minor skirmish I think, because another fey army showed up (rebels), so most of the gang headed for the castle to wait it out.
And in the end, he 'splains how she gets to live forever with him. Huh.
