i read this as part of a research assignment. most of the stories in here are much the same and almost all are written by people who aren't Writers. i don't exactly agree with the pharmaco-lifestyle so i was never going to like this book. i was digging for personal accounts of choosing to live off the drugs or tales of horrible side-effects and there are a few of both.

if you've never had to take prozac or zoloft or paxil, and are curious about the effects they might have on libido, heartrate or memory, this may well be an interesting read. aside from that, skip it and pick up one of the hundreds of drug and mental health memoirs flooding the market these days.
