After ten years away from home, Cherry Edmonds returns to West Texas when her father is ill and dying. Now she is left to deal with the estate and pick up the pieces of her life. The past is waiting for her in the form of Wesson and Remington Smith, the two brothers she was half in love with when she was eighteen. Wes and Remy know they're different from most men. They are both in love with Cherry and have been since they were kids. One night of hot sex leaves all of them wanting more, but she believes their time together is just a one-night stand. It's up to the Smith brothers to prove their love for Cherry and their commitment to the menage, and to convince Cherry she's definitely capable of loving two Texas cowboys. A Romantica(r) contemporary erotic romance from Ellora's Ca
Once upon a time N.J. had the idea that she would like to quit her job at the bookstore, sell everything she owned, leave her hometown, and write romance novels in a place where no one knew her. And she did. Two years later, she went back to the bookstore and her hometown and settled in for another seven years.
One day she gave notice at her job on a Friday morning. On Sunday afternoon, she received a tentative acceptance for her first erotic romance novel and life would never be the same.
N.J. Walters is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who has always been a voracious reader, and now she spends her days writing novels of her own. Vampires, werewolves, dragons, time-travelers, seductive handymen, and next-door neighbors with smoldering good looks—all vie for her attention. It’s a tough life, but someone’s got to live it.
Two hot Texas cowboy brothers (horse whisperers/trainers) meet up again with their childhood friend/ high school sweetheart after 10 years. She's back in town due to her father's untimely death, and hopes she doesn't run into them since she'll have to tell them why she ran from them (she was afraid she loved them both--and what kind of girl would that make her?) What she doesn't know is that is exactly what they hope to hear, because they want her back in their lives...
Needed a little more development. It was hot, but needed more of a story. I liked this trio, but I didn't fall in love with them because I felt I didn't know enough about them. This author has done a lot better. For an example of her best, check out her Jamesville series or her Awakening Desires series. 3 1/2 stars
*Warning: This book contains explicit sex (oral, no anal, m/f/m ménage) and language, and a light bondage scene. Not for the faint of heart
Double or Nothing by N.J. Walters in not part of a series but I hope there is a sequel in the future because I would love to see these characters again in the future. I chose this because after reading the summery it was interesting.
Cherry Edmonds came back to West Texas to take care of her dying father but now that he is dead, there is no reason to stay. She also now has to face her past and the men she left there. Cherry tries her best to avoid Wesson and Remington Smith. Cherry is a likeable character if she comes across as the type to avoid problems rather than face them.
Wesson and Remington Smith are brothers that are both in love with Cherry. Remy is the oldest of the brothers. He is determined, and passionate. Wes is the youngest and he is more patient and charming. Both are the brothers are hot and sexy and its easy to see why Cherry is attracted to them.
The chemistry between Remy, Wes, and Cherry is blistering. The sex scenes were hot and sexy. These three are a great couple. I found this book to be well written. While the story was over way to fast, I loved it regardless. The main characters were interesting. Overall, this was a great book. I have not read this author before but I will be reading more from this author in the future.

Double or Nothing is a pretty straight-forward ménage story between a heartbroken, vulnerable woman and the two brothers who want her. I liked the contrast between the two men. Remy, the oldest, is cut from the cloth of the cowboys of the old west: stoic, determined, passionate and forceful. Wes is more of a peacemaker, using patience and charm to turn any situation around. I could see why Cherry would be attracted to each of them, although despite the disparities in their personalities, her relationship with Wes and Remy wasn’t all that different. They each shared the same level of passion with her, and she seemed to find a safe haven in each man’s arms.
Just an okay book.. Pretty black and white really when you take into account what the book synopsis states since nothing special happens other than what is said in the summary.
This is a good book. I would definitely take double over nothing! Who wouldn't want 2 sexy cowboys declare there undying love. ;) But I just felt the story was plain. Nothing exciting really happened. It's an easy read, just no punch to it.
