Brilliant book and amazing story! Brutally honest and fascinating. The book could do with a proof read/spell check/re-formatting but that doesn’t take away from what a great book it is!
A raw, ragged tour through a raw, ragged rock n' roll life. I really enjoyed this and read it over two evenings. I hope Danny gets some peace of mind and finds a way to support himself financially. I also hope he stays on the (relatively) straight and narrow. You can tell he is a good bloke, albeit flawed (but aren't we all?).
The book itself could so with some formatting/proofreading in places but in reality, the format adds to the punk-vibe in my opinion.
If you’re a Wildhearts fan (which I am), you’ll probably get something from this.
It’s a collection of unedited transcribed interviews and emails from Danny, telling his story as he sees it/remembers it. The focus is on his addictions rather than insights about his musical life.
As others have said, would significantly benefit from a proofread/formatting/editing.
Not an easy read - in turns very entertaining and harrowing. A very open account - Danny seems like a nice guy. Hope he gets to a better place than he's been in the past.
