Morrow should have known. Nothing ever is what it appears to be. It was a quiet day when Morrow got a call out of the blue from a former client of his mentor, Edwin. A little problem at the racetrack in Tucson that needed fixing. Then came another request—this one required Morrow to go shopping. For a doll.
Before he knew it, Morrow finds himself doing battle with not one, but two mob bosses who don’t appreciate his involvement. Add to that a mysterious man who demands something that Morrow no longer has—the doll—and he finds himself torn from all sides.
Morrow puts his team together to solve the racetrack problem, eliminate two mob bosses, and find the mystery doll. Progress is spotty, and then he’s floored by the move he never saw coming. This time the punishment for failure could cost a team member her life.
