Lady Katherine's Comeuppance
The house of Winchester is set on its ear when Thomas, a distant cousin of the recently deceased Earl, arrives to assume his role as Lord Winchester. In addition to an elegant London home and a luxurious country estate, Thomas “inherits” Lady Katherine, the widow of the former earl.
Lady Katherine, herself the daughter of an earl, is horrified that a barbaric American will be not only the new lord of the manor, but also responsible for her future support and livelihood. Note: I read a new version of the book, which comprises both Lady Katherine's Comeuppance and Lady Katherine's Conundrum.
Intriguingly erotic, sensual book. I enjoyed the battle between Katherine, ever the proper English lady, and the very American and rough Thomas. Very steamy, with some consensual kink, but what’s more important, the erotic side of the book is perfectly mixed with the romantic one. And I liked the way the characters reflect upon their actions and are not afraid of admitting their mistakes. A thoroughly enjoyable book.

This book can also be found in the "Mastering of His Lady Collection." Celeste Jones is a new author to me, so other than the teaser, I had no idea of her writing style but isn't the thought of "tenderness and disciple" a bit titallating to anyone who enjoys this genre? I'm glad I took the chance to explore what was teased at. The story flows smoothly, the characters, in this case Lady Katherine and Lord Thomas, were both strong willed, opinionated, full of passion and never walked away from a challenge. Intrigued? Yes, it held my attention, ignited a spark, and made pages turn quickly to follow the scenes and scenarios being played out. I can't wait to start book two!

TEACH ME MY LORD
The first story in the Mastering His Lady Collection will have Thomas arriving in London a little over a year after a cousin, Charles, passed away and now he has inherited the title as the newest Earl of Winchester. Through the solicitor, he is made aware of Lady Katherine, the widow of Charles.
The plot will have Thomas arriving at the London home and overhearing Katherine with Lorena discussing the barbarian American. He is enchanted by her beauty but disgusted by her behavior and makes his own plans.
“Katherine shrugged. “my role is certainly unclear. I should hope to be able to go on living my life without interference, though I do not know if such will be possible. Much depends upon this man. I shall win him over the same way I did the last Earl of Winchester. A woman has few options available to her—I shall use other methods to secure my position.”
Thomas shocks Katherine by showing up at her dinner party and refuses to back down to her; in fact, he shows he will be in control. Later, he will make her an offer and one she will acquiesce to—and that is the beginning of their love affair that will lead to more.
“If you choose to give yourself to me, there will be no baking out, no equivocation. I will be your lord inside the bedroom and out. There is a price to pay. You must give up control, absolute authority, to me.”
The story has dominance and submission, discipline, and lessons in seduction and sexual exploits. Thomas will take Katherine on a sexual journey of fulfillment and passion. But, will their passion cross a line and threaten their standing in polite society?

Mediocre heat and little romance or plot leaves you wanting
One would probably consider this novella erotica, since it has practically no plot and it centered almost entirely on carnal relations and lady parts----except they use phrases like "carnal relations" and "lady parts". while I am fine or even happy with not using modern vernacular in historicals, even erotica, this was the most bland and even a bit humorous phrasing for body parts and coupling I have ever read---with the act glossed over almost as much as if it were a chaste romance. The spanking does get more attention and somewhat more detail, so if that is your thing perhaps this book would appeal more to you than it did me. It was relatively enjoyable, (though I never really liked Katherine), but for me it just couldn't decide what kind of novella it wanted to be so lost something in that netherworld between the two.

Spice and Spankings, a cute regency romp!
This is a very short story regency story with domestic discipline. It's cute and has an HEA, but I believe this version is an old one and no longer available on Amazon. Got this one back in 2015, it may have been a freeby, don't really remember. The one now available under the same title is an extended version that combines this story and Lady Katherine's Conundrum into one book under the original title. It's a short (even the newer version, only 157 pages), sweet and fun read. If you enjoy your regency with some spice and spankings, you'll definitely enjoy this short read.

When Lady Katherine's husband dies before she can produce a son, his title and estate passes to a distant relative--horror of horrors, a barbarian--an American! But the young dowager is determined to maintain her place in Society, even if it means seducing the new earl. Thomas is stunned to discover all that he has inherited--including responsibility for the late earl's widow. She might be attractive and he might be attracted to her, but he isn't about to let her use her wiles on him.
I can't say what I liked most about Lady Katherine's Comeuppance because there were so many things. First, it's a well-written piece of romantic spanking fiction. The writing flows, making it a delight to read. Second, it focuses on story and doesn't use plot merely as a device upon which to hang a spanking. Third, the spanking and sex scenes feel natural and arise organically out of the plot. Fourth, both the hero and the heroine are nicely flawed and likable. The hero himself is a refreshing nice guy who suffers bouts of self-doubt Fifth, the historical aspects of this story feel authentic, in word and tone.
Lady Katherine is a book that crosses genres--even if you don't normally read spanking romance, this one will still appeal. It's a hot read about a sweet romance.

I have always enjoyed Celeste Jones’ contemporary spanking romance stories, so I was very excited to get my hands on her first regency book. I loved it! The heroine, an English lady, suddenly comes under the authority of her husband’s distant cousin, Thomas, who happens to be a barbaric American. Katherine’s future depends on Thomas, and he arrives in London not quite understanding his new position, and not expecting to have to deal with his cousin’s widow. They pair clash immediately, but at the same time sparks fly. To Lady Katherine’s dismay, she discovers Thomas won’t put up with bad behavior, and he soon spanks her for trying to manipulate her way into his good graces.
I loved the main characters and their interactions with one another, and of course the spanking and the sex scenes were hot. I especially loved how Thomas handled the scandal at the end of the book. He was a great hero and exactly what Katherine needed in her life. Lady Katherine’s Comeuppance is a well-written regency romance with plenty of tension, humor, a naughty scandal, disciplinary spanking, and sensual scenes sure to keep you reading until the last page.

I love the title of this book. If I had not read anything else by this author I probably would have read this book just based on the title alone. Really, you don't get to use the word 'comeuppance' a lot in day to day life.
Beyond the title, this book does not disappoint. Ms. Jones takes you to a period in time where everyone is being judged based on their appearance and their ability to woo their peers while following the rules of society (no, not high school!), England in the 1800's. Personally, I am partial to the historical romance and Lady Katherine's Comeuppance fulfilled all of my expectations.
Katherine is still mourning the loss of her husband, when his distant cousin- who has also inherited his estate, Thomas, arrives on the scene. I loved watching Katherine and Thomas' relationship evolve throughout the story. They were both very likable characters and had a lot of good passion and chemistry between them.
If you are looking for a good romance spiced up with a little bit of spanking I would highly recommend adding Lady Katherine's Comeuppance to your collection!

Lady Katherine thinks she knows how she is going to deal with the American, unfortunately he knows much better how he is going to deal with her. It involves sometime well spent with her bottom bare, up over his lap and her porcelain backed hairbrush put to good use- Not brushing her hair either.
Sparks fly between the two immediately and they are sure to get burned. Well, Katherine's bottom gets scorched and often, but with the Ton watching them, a scandal is sure to scald them.
Thomas knows just how to handle the Ton, it's Katherine he can't quiet figure out. He can't keep his hands off of her!
This book is so hot I couldn't put it down. I think some of our other popular Regency author's may have a run for their money now. Celeste is lighting up the pages. I can't wait for more from her.

Short but fun read
Lady Katherine must learn to live with the new Lord Winchester, a barbarian as they all are from America, after her husband dies.
She must find a new husband but after a few unexpected events happen, she find she might not be able to do that for several reasons.
The character development was done well and they were endearing. I do wish it were a bit longer.
