I couldn't find this book so I couldn't update much on this book. It's another Wily and Eggman against Sonic and Megaman. Megaman and sonic try to break in to the wily egg (Wily and Eggman's base). Megaman and sonic try to confront the source of the robots! But it won't be as easy as defeating the robots...
This Volume concludes the opening section of the story in style, with massive action scenes and lots of great moments for both the Sonic and the Mega Man characters. As Wily and Robotnik close in on their goal, Sonic and Mega Man find themselves in increasingly dire straits, pulling all of their allies together to support them as they try to prevent disaster, even as the two evil geniuses start to sabotage each other. This volume really raises the stakes, and gives everyone a chance to shine. It's only weakness is that even though it finishes the crossover, it doesn't really finish the story - events end without really resolving anything, and the final moments, although impressive, suffer for not having a concrete resolution. Still, this volume (and the entire series) do an astoundingly good job of connecting two very distinctive worlds into one cohesive whole while still capturing the elements that made each one distinct. I never would have expected this quality of writing for a video game comic, and was very pleasantly surprised how everything worked out. These make for fun, family-friendly, action packed adventures. Archie comics is doing their licenses proud.
Part three of three. It's a shame that tween me never got a chance to read this, because I would have loved it! There's a nice high stakes moment in this volume that serves to highlight the difference between our two villains.
