I wanted to learn more about the Paleo lifestyle, and this book definitely accomplished that. Plus the recipes look amazing, I can't wait to try some of them.
Easy to read and understand and a little more indepth than just the normal cook books, has some good recipies, information on how to get started in Paleo and how to stay involved in the lifestyle. Probably a little too American in it's suggestions but most can apply here down south.
I picked this up because I am playing around with the idea of going gluten free. I seem to be having some trouble learning to cook in a gluten free manner and thought maybe this would offer some incite. Well, paleo is a bit too strict for me. I say all of that to say this: This book took such an aggressive stance on what isn't allowed that I am now turned off of the Paleo idea. I believe I would have been more open minded to the idea had they taken more of a softer approach. Telling me why things are frowned upon and how to transition would have been better for me over the give this up now approach. Over all I did find some useful tips on gluten free, so the book wasn't a total bust, which is why I did give the book 3 stars. I will still attempt going without gluten.
The Mediterranean Vegetable Frittata sounds easy to make and as though it will pass muster with carb fanatics and the Spiced Banana Coconut waffles and the pad Thai with zucchini and carrot noodles sound tasty.
Really just wanted to know the details about all the hype. Pretty basic but title admits it's for beginners. Probably a good start for someone looking into the subject.
