Parallel aan die narratief ontvou die verhaal van die 18-jarige Natalie, 'n weeskind wat op die Karoo-dorpie Hoopvol woon by die plaaslike pastoor en sy vrou.

Die voorgeskrewe boek van my Afrikaanse klas hierdie jaar.

Fantastiese plotontwikkeling en storielyn. 'n Baie genotvolle en realistiese storie. Dié boek het die tipe afgeronde karakters wat 'n mens elke bladsy wil laat omblaai.

My take back as a non-assigned book:
It requires a bit of patience you get to the plot half of the book. And after reflection I realise its a sensible plot, if yet not extremely original, maybe then predictable. The connections named in the description of the book is loosely past and future and my expectation in the first half was way more complex.
