India and London has a lot more in common than just a bloodline. Both sister are teen parents with half-ass baby fathers, and both the urge to provide the best life for thier daughters. When jealousy comes poking around, somes lines are crossed, rumors are spread and all bets are off. London is faced with the betrayal of her older sister, India, and stirs up the perfect formula for revenge. Blood isn't always as thick as you think!
It was a good read BUT the pure immaturity and ignorance of the two main characters get on my last nerve. OMG! I just wanted to beat the snot out of both girls. At least London had an epiphany at the end so I'm sure she's going to be more understanding. I read part of Book 2 but I won't reveal what happened. You guys just have to read it. it's available now on Amazon.
Heartfelt story. London was forced to grow up fast and the responsibility she took on at such a young age was remarkable. Although she was portrayed as the bad sister, I didn't see it that way. India held a lot of jealousy for London, especially in the support she got from her daughter's grandparents. I felt India should have been happy that her niece was so loved. In addition, India was older, should have set an example for London, but instead, she didn't try to find a way to work and she was more concerned with checking on her baby daddy. I'm sure there were lots of resources for a teen mother in her situation. I didn't understand the aunt's motive with her sister's estate. She appeared to be devastated that she hadn't made amends with her sister, yet here she was doing more dirt. Overall, I thought this was an excellent story, worthy of teen group discussion. There were many lessons here. The struggle for teen parents is real and they need all the love and support they can get. And although these situations don't always have such a happy ending, I'm glad London got hers.
This was a good read! However, I feel sorry for the sisters and their mom who only wants the best for the both of them. I couldn’t imagine being in either of their situations. This hatred towards one another is sickening, India as the older sister should be setting the tone for the both her and London. Both of their BD’s are some shit, they should stick together and not be so consumed with the having one up on the other. Rahiem would be getting the boot and I would take out child support on his ass. He would not be allowed to sit up in my house and not do shit. Dante, I would make his ass pay too!! I’m happy Jewels came out to be his. Let’s me get in to part two. I hope Ms. Denis is okay
this book is beyond great when I first started reading this book me and it made me want to heal family issues with my own blood and get right as sisters this was such an eye opening book and I visually could see everything just as much as I felt the drama the love the lessons you get from this book.
I choose 3 stars because the book left the reader lost too soon!! And the fact that there it's a to be continued but the book is available is HIDEOUS!!! I feel like I paid for a book that's never ending!!!
Sisters India and London are teenage moms who are trying to balance relationships and motherhood. As if tat wasn’t enough, they’re constantly competing with one another.
I enjoyed this 💎💎💎💎 short story by @authorvanessa. Go check it out!
This was a good read. I couldn't be it down until I was done reading. Families go thur so much behind close doors. Some families fix the problems and some families could careless as long as it doesn't disrupt their life. Life lessons hurt the more.
I just happened on this book however, I didn't think it'd be as good as it was. I'd have to encourage everyone who reads to pick up this book. It was actually a great book.
I mean, if India wasn’t so bitter her life could have been better. I blame everything that happened on her, like girl all yo life you was bitter smh I’m happy for London tho
This was surprisingly good and kept my interest I was turning pages like crazy I straight hated rahiem and dontae dumb asses but London grew up alot she held it down
Wow, this summary hooked me immediately! The family drama and sibling rivalry sound intense and emotional. I love that it dives into real struggles like teen parenthood and complicated relationships. I’m already curious to see how London’s revenge plays out—definitely sounds like a page-turner!
Book 1 and two was alotnof drama going on its sad that her mom and her sister died before she realized what was important but once I started reading i couldnt stop
India and London are sisters but there is some jealously there. Both are teen moms and dealing with issues that comes along with that. India and Raheim have been together for a while. They already have a 2 year old daughter, Diamond. Now India is pregnant again. Raheim, is just there physically but doesn't help India with raising Diamond.
London, has a 3 year old by Dante. Although, he does nothing for the Jewels his parents have been a huge help to London. This is one of the reason India dislikes London. Dante's parents are very helpful. London and Dante's relationship didn't work out. They have their own problems to deal with
The sisters do different things to aggravate each other. There is enough drama in the book. Overall, the story is a 4 but there a few editing issues in the story. Also, the author did mix up the name of the characters a couple times. Still was a good book but I had to deduct a star for those things. I will continue on the read part 2.
I gotta admit, I'm not a fan of short stories but I'm so happy I chose this book!!!! The ending left me wanting MORE so I can't wait to get Part 2 of this book. Vanessa is a great author and I'm looking forward to reading all of her books!!!! This was a 5 star book & I highly recommend it and will be telling my friends to read this!!!!!
ok so I wasn't sure where the author was going to take this but enjoyed it. it started a little slow but picked up rather smoothly. I can't wait to read what happens next. great ending leaving you wanting more on to book 2
Damn I dont like London or India but after what just happened I hope they both can get along because they are going to need each other ... I do like the book I cant wait to read the second book looking forward to it
