Little Blue Star

Rate this book
Crystal Blue, the reluctant avatar in the White Bird series, sets off for the sacred Four Corners to meet with the Hopi. Still unconvinced of her shamanic powers, and without Wyndon, her protector who disappeared in Kauai, Crystal becomes vulnerable to dark energies following her. As a result, when she travels to a world mankind has left behind, the unthinkable happens. Only one can save her, but he, as she, has forgotten who he is.

I began writing Crystal's story back in 1995 when my children were very small and quite mischievous. And so, as I tended to my children, I tucked Crystal's story away, but never forgot her...she wouldn't let me forget.

For fourteen years, Crystal’s story simmered in my brain and in my heart, while I played with my daughters, gaining a greater appreciation for humanity's struggles and current earth changes. I dreamed of Crystal and Adam, David and Wyndon, Cosmo and Daniel, Claire and Vincent, Madelynn, Gina and all the others.

And then, in 2009 after witnessing a performer whose creative brilliance and passion inspired me to embrace my own passion, writing, I decided to instead of dream about my characters, to begin writing about them and Crystal's story began to unfold.

Currently, I live in Minnesota where I am working on the fifth novel in the series, Blue Flames Rising. When I pull myself away from my writing, I love to travel, dig in my garden, paint, bike, canoe, walk my dog, squish my cats, get lost in the woods and play.

This is a wonderful new installment of the adventures of Crystal Blue. If you had not read the other books, you may not pick up on some things, but it would still be an enjoyable read. I love how far the characters go, the places they visit and the lessons learned along the way.
I also love the fact that the so called "Goddess" is not perfect. Crystal has flaws and ahe suffers for them. I am so looking forward to the next book. I want to see Crystal overcome more obstacles. Since she is imperfect and so are her companions, its nice knowing that you don't have to be perfect to be divine. Just love the story!

I bought this book on Amazon, and was not pain in any way for my review.

Seriously excellent addition to the series. In this, the third book in the series, Crystal discovers more about herself and her mission. She is learning to trust herself and her own worth.

I love how the author blends beautiful lessons and history of indigenous tribes into Crystal's journey of self-discovery.

I will definitely be re-reading all three of these just before the 4th book is due to be released, not only so I can reacquaint myself with the story, but because it is just a lovely story and series.

Great book! Even tho I am the older generation, Crystal blows me away. Love her attitude to life and to what is happening to her.
