Biological Thermodynamics provides an introduction to the study of energy transformations for students of the biological sciences. Donald Haynie uses an informal writing style to introduce this core subject in a manner that will appeal to biology and biochemistry undergraduate students. Buku ini bagus untuk pemula dalam bidang termodinamika, karena menyajikan materi dalam bentuk cerita dan diskusi, tetapi karena penyampaian buku ini seperti itu, membuatnya terlalu bertele-tele sehingga informasi yang seharusnya dapat di sampaikan dengan sedikit kalimat menjadi 1 sub-bab tersendiri. Selain itu buku ini tidak terlalu membahas lebih dalam terhadap "biology" thermodynamics, terlalu banyak pendahuluan yang seharusnya hanya disampaikan dengan porsi yang lebih sedikit.
