Jagger
I don't mess with vanilla girls.
Especially not ones as innocent as Talia. But when a snowstorm traps us at Club Protocol, I break my own rules.
It's supposed to be simple revenge against my college rival. But her eager innocence stirs my dominant nature, and I can't resist inviting her into my world of kink and ecstasy. The way she blossoms under my command stirs up feelings I'm not used to, and revenge is a distant memory.

Talia
I used to be an eternal optimist.
Now I'm stuck in a BDSM club with the world’s biggest grumpasaurus. Snow is piling up outside, and all I've got are fresh wounds from a breakup with my cheating high school sweetheart, and a sexy bucket list I'd planned on checking off with him.
When Jagger offers to show me the ropes, I’m wary. But we aren't going anywhere fast, and I'm intrigued by his promises of pleasure and pain. If I give in, could it be the start of something beautiful? Or will it destroy my optimism forever?

Get snowed in with this red-hot, forced proximity erotic romance where opposites attract and feelings ignite.

The first few chapters drew me in and had me captivated by Talia’s character. She is chatty, sunshiny and I absolutely adored her vibe. The stark difference between her and Jagger is what made this book gold. His grumpy stoicism matched with her peppy personality made for such a cute dynamic. I am a big fan of both Talia and Jagger. I believe this is my favourite book from Lasairiona so far.
It’s lucky there was a trigger warning for bangxiety because this is definitely a slow-burn, but with Talia’s character it makes sense. The juxtaposition between Talia’s good girl persona and her being at Protocol were written so well. I had a smile on my dial for a lot of this story. It was just so darn cute.

Obey is the second book in the Protocol series and I will say this is definitely my favorite.

What can I say? Talia just called of her engagement after seeing her fiancé with another woman. The relationship between those two was not healthy. She has all this dream and desire she needs to live for herself. When she finds her self snowed in with this Mr. Grumpy pants let’s say her life changes for the better. Jagger is the hot mechanic and he also works in a sex club. He was not expecting this half pint to walk into his life. Once he finds her sex bucked list, he knows he is the right man to help cross some of this list. They spend a couple of days together and things get steamy. I love how attentive he is of her and she lets go with him. They both came into each other lives at the right time.I love seeing old friends as well and how they all welcomed Talia and this lifestyle. I enjoyed this story so much. This story had it all, amazing chemistry, lots of laughs and a great group of friendships. Thanks to Lasairiona for another amazing story they just keep getting better with each book.

At this point it's a given that I will read anything Lasairiona writes. Her books have such a way of making you connect with the characters and their stories that you can't help but fall in love with them. And boy oh boy did I fall hard for Talia and Jagger. I think there was a level of vulnerability in this one that was so different but so well done, especially when it came to Talia's upbringing and experiences. I also thought the way Lasairiona talked about trust and intimacy was so incredibly beautiful and I actually saw that in a lot of my own experiences. This was a slower burn from her other books, but it worked perfectly for the development of these characters. I thought the spice was magnificent as always and I was over here taking notes. Las nails it every single time. I loved the emotions, I loved the care and tenderness that went into this book, and I loved the realness I felt from the words on the page. As always, I loved this book wholeheartedly and I'm so glad to have books like these, where romance and love is front and center, and the characters learn and grow both individually and collectively. Beautiful book that certainly had me feeling some type of way!! Thank you to Lasairiona for providing me with an e-ARC to read and review!

Jagger and Talia were a whole ass vibe! This book had me chuckling from the first page where Talia falls into the lap of her hunky brooding seatmate Jagger.

From there we watch Talia literally explode her personality all over Jagger who doesn’t know what to do with himself. I loved their whole dynamic so much.

Talia, while being overall innocent (not a virgin though) also had quite a kinky side to explore. Jagger discovering her wanna do list and helping her cross items off it was one of my favourite things to read.
Jagger helped navigate Talia into a world she was interested in, but had never explored, while allowing himself to also be drawn into a world vastly different to his own, by opening up to her. Their grumpy sunshine dynamic played a huge part throughout the book, with Jaggers quiet, calming, confident daddy dom demeanour being the perfect counterpart to Talias vivacious spirit.

Really enjoyed this and cannot wait to get back to club protocol!

This is my favorite of this series so far. Jagger and Talia’s story pulled at my heart strings. Talia is trying to figure out who she is after she finds out her fiancé cheated on her. She meets Jagger on a flight, but instead they end up snowed in together. Jagger is grumpy and quiet, but so caring and that made me love him more. He was patient with Talia, listened and never judged. She wasn’t used to that, among other things and it was nice to see her be treated right, and grow throughout the story as well. When things start to heat up between them, it’s when they decide if it’s just a snowy night or if it could be more.

Jagger and Talia are the best kind of Grumpy / Sunshine. She is this little pixie full of nervous energy who word vomits whenever she is anxious. Yet even that nervous, anxious energy has a brightness to it. Jagger is a vault he's suffered a hard loss and keeps his heart closed up nice and tight. He's growly and grouchy yet Talia can't help but feel completely intrigued by this man. As for Jagger this little pixie is getting under his skin with her endless curiosity mixed with her seductive innocence. It makes this dom want to show her, teach her, but is she willing and is he ready for something not completely under his control will Talia be willing to obey!
So get ready for this forced proximity blizzard in a bdsm club with a great cast of characters and a couple return friends from previous books.

Obey is the story of Talia and Jagger. The chemistry of the two heats up immediately, (although, as warned, it is a slow burn in many ways, their chemistry is fire!) and they have to get okay with disasters. From a massive snow storm grounding the plane, to being cut off by the blizzard, spending the night in a place with no heat (remember, terrible winter storm) to the multitude of life’s exciting challenges. The gang of friends from the other two books in the series make cameo appearances, though you don’t have to have read them to enjoy those scenes. All in all, a captivating story, that looks at hard things in life being made bearable by loved ones. Hope to see even more from this author!

I want to Obey. Oh my god. Jagger, yes please. Yum, yum, yum. I can't tell you how much I loved this story. It had all the feels. I read it all in one go, who needs sleep? And I laughed out loud and snorted so much my husband thought there was something wrong with me.

And the bonus, fan me down and swap my panties.🔥🥵💦

I received an ARC copy (and I am so glad I did!) and this is my honest review.

I received an advance reader copy of Obey in exchange for my honest review.

Wow! I absolutely devoured this book in a single afternoon. Lasairiona, once again, knocked it out of the park with the realism. I read A LOT of fantasy books, but there is something to be said for immersing yourself in something that feels obtainable. I also really love that she writes such a variety of characters of all shapes, sizes, colors, and orientations. I can not wait to see what else this series has in store.

Now, onto my thoughts about Obey. I enjoyed getting to see both Jagger and Talia's point of view, how they overcame obstacles both physically and mentally, and I was so happy to see some returning characters.

I liked Talia's growth in opening her mind despite her upbringing. It is refreshing that we get to see feelings and emotions from a strong male character and I'm here for it.  The spice was perfect, the exploration was steamy, and it there was a good balance between the plot and the spice.

I LOVED the authors note at the end of the book. Like many of my fellow spicy book readers, while we are open-minded, there are some things we may not be familiar with/informed about. The 1st note at the end of the book was a nice touch. It was a perfectly worded, gentle, bit of information to help people better understand the dynamic of DDlg.

With that being said, if you're even the slightest bit interested or intrigued, I encourage you to grab a copy of Obey and give it a shot. It can be read as a stand-alone, and if you like it, be sure to check out Control as well!

lord have mercy

I haven’t read a Daddy kink story in a while but this was so sweet. Had do many if favorite tropes:
- forced proximity
- size kink
- daddy/ ddlg
It was so sweet and delicious. Jagger is just perfect. He’s like a warm chocolate bar. With metal..

Grumpasaurus & Half Pint 🥰
Talia is having a bad day. She recently found her fiancé cheating, called off the engagement, got a haircut (she may or may not regret) and is on a plane back home where her parents are pressuring her to take back the cheater. Thank heavens for the snow storm.
Meet Jagger, the tall, dark and gorgeous grump who sits next to her in the plane. He likes to be alone, he has a select group of people he likes, but not even they know that much about him. He knew the second he sat next to the blue-haired pixie she was trouble, just not the extent of it. Within 5 minutes he knew her life story and despite himself, her tears put a small crack in his mile high walls.
The snow storm that cancels their flight also lends it hand to some forced proximity that changes their lives.
I adored this story. Over the next few days we learn so much about them, and despite the very obvious opposites, they are perfect for each other.
Talia has such a journey in front of her, her new strength shines at times and others she definitely needs Jagger by her side. She grows so much and it was wonderful to witness.
Jagger has such a big heart, but his past hurts hold him back. He has to make choices that scare him, and has an amazing group of friends who have his back.
This is steamy, but a very slow burn, and as Jagger, works at Protocol, you know there’s going to be some kink. It is also emotional and heartfelt, funny and witty.
I’m definitely looking forward to book 3.

Thank you to the author.

Obey (Protocol book 2)

First off, a huge thank you to the author and her team for sending me a copy of this. I’m so enjoying this journey with the Protocol series.

Now on to this book! A fantastic grumpy/ sunshine romance with plenty of spice and sexual tension. I always love the was Lewis writes her characters- she’s an absolute master of sassy, strong women, and protective but vulnerable men.

Talia’s journey in Obey is fantastic. Watching her unlearn so many things she’s been told all her life, and finding her freedom and joy, was so exciting. I loved seeing her find out what she really wanted, and being strong enough and brave enough to persue it.

And then of course Jagger. Sweet cinnamon roll Jagger, under his grumpy, icy exterior, was brave in his own way too. He was such a safe place for Talia, and it was so sweet watching him allow himself to feel too.

Now when you put the two of them together… We got some super hot spicy scenes in this book! I love the exploration of kink, and the respectful portrayal of the lifestyle. Plus it makes for excellent reading.

As always, the supporting characters are wonderful. The Protocol boys and Sub Club girls provide so much camaraderie and friendship for each other. Plus I love seeing a small part of their journey after their books have finished- it’s like checking in with old friends. Can’t wait for the next one!

“I’ve known him a couple days and already he’s made me feel like a queen.”
Obey is book two of the Protocol Series, it is centered around Jagger Coleman and Talia Barclay. Jagger and Talia meet while on a plane that never gets to take off because of a snowstorm. Talia is nothing short of a chatterbox and Jagger speaks in strictly grunts.

The two don’t start off in the best foot, as it’s clear Jagger wants nothing to do with Talia yet has learned her life story within 4 minutes of sitting next to her. But when they decide being snowed in together is the best option they are forced to get to know each other. When staying at Protocol, the BDSM club Jagger works at, is the best they can do in a snow storm Talia’s innocence and Jagger’s dominance will change everything.

Talia had a life controlled by her parents but now that she has found her voice she is using it! I loved seeing her gain her confidence in every aspect of her life. Jagger has always kept his walls up high so no one can get close to him but Talia changes it all.
This grumpy, grunty man can be eloquent and adorable when he wants to be.”

I’m so excited to see what comes next in Protocol!
Thank you @queenoffirelas for the ARC!

Obey- Lasiriona Lewis

This is the second book from the Protocol series and it's a great second book. Jagger and Talia don't seem like they could be a couple because she's a spunky little gal and he's the Grumpy Sunshine who is reserved. Talia was coming off a break up and Jagger had been alone for some time. They both don't jump head first into a lovey dovey relationship, just a teacher and student of bdsm. Talia has read the typical dirty romance books and Jagger has taught what the books do and don't write. As they get snowed in at the local "spicy" club he is a part of, Talia eventually wants some lessons. She's ready to find her inner baddy. They both heal each other through getting along and these lessons.

Jagger's got a fancy peen (yep had to look up the "design") which was unexpected. Talia's experience with it was 😍😍.

Spice Level: 🌶🌶🌶

My favorite quote from the book:
“You don’t deserve me returning your shirt, Grumpasaurus Rex. Maybe I should hold onto it until your attitude changes.”

You knocked it into the goal Lasiriona! The second book lines right up nicely after Control which was the first book. I can't wait to read the next one. It may not be for everyone, but it was right for me.

I absolutely loved this second book in this series. Lasairiona did not disappoint! Jagger and Talia were absolutely everything I wanted and so much more.

It was so easy to fall for both of these characters. Jagger is the tall, dark, and handsome grump, and Talia is the petite, strong ball of sunshine. They fit so perfectly together. When they get snowed in and can't fly out, they end up at, as Talia would say, the s-#-x club that Jagger works at. It was perfect. Throughout their time being stuck together, he realizes they have a connection from their past that he despises. This changes things, and boy, was I there for that ride. And what a ride it was! The chemistry between these two made the pages start on fire, and it was scorching hot. This book made me laugh so many times, made me sad, made me mad, made me swoon, made me need an ice-cold bath, but most of all, it just made me feel.

I am in awe of how Lasairiona McMaster keeps writing such phenomenal stories with characters I can't get enough of and fall head-over-heals for each and every time. If I could give this more than 5 ⭐️ 's, I would. Everyone needs to read this book!

4.5 rounded to 5

It hooked me from the beginning with that meet-cute - plus can I mention how perfect the grumpy-sunshine vibes were…to reiterate they were perfect. Jagger was the definition of grumpy and sweet, innocent Talia was full of joy. Talia’s witt and the things she said were so entertaining…especially when she was talking to Jagger. I couldn’t help but laugh.

I fell hard for these two and could not have been more giddy when a winter storm forces them to spend time together…did I mention there was only ONE BED! Even better!! The chemistry between the characters as they fought their feelings and opened up their hearts was amazing. This was a deep and emotional story and the way the characters and their relationship grew was so well-written.

This one does explore some kinks, so read the content warnings…one kink is 100% not my thing and honestly gives me the ick (the book addresses) but I can’t hold that against the book. It was very clear in the content warnings. I knew it was there going in, and DO NOT REGRET proceeding because I ABSOLUTELY adored Talia and Jaggar. The spice in this one is SPICING!!

This can be read as a standalone, but is the second book in a series with a cameo from another series which made me super happy and added some fun moments.

Slow burn through the fires of hell hot

This was described as a slow but and I get why but also I do not or did not feel the slowness…maybe it’s because of how quickly I read it (within something like 30 hours) or maybe the slow burn was just burning as hot as hell. Either way, I was struggling to keep my composure as I was reading on two different train journeys and in a restaurant, more to try not to burst out laughing at so many things. These was such a good mix of hot as hell and so funny and just so gosh darn sweet.
Talia’s story from the finding herself to finding her strength to standing up for herself. She might be a LG but she is a strong woman who stood up for herself once she received the support to do so! And Jagger, damn. There is so many thinks I want to say. But I love how grumpy he was by nature but how soft he was and how patient he was as Talia learnt and how her curiosity sparked something in him.
I can not wait for the day that this becomes an audiobook (she says hoping and praying that day comes!)

Wow wow wow.
I love Las’ books. I accept that I’m biased. When I read in the warning that it was a slow burn and had D/LG theme I thought I’d enjoy it but not as much as the others. Boy was I wrong. Close proximity clearly does something to me. I love Talia. And through Las’ writing I felt all of her to my core. I didn’t have the same upbringing or the same family pressures but I truly felt her. I know she isn’t real but she is to me and the proudness that I felt in her growth was tangible.
Jagger is surly and stoic with all the fuck off vibes but he is soft and gentle but powerful and strong and all of the superlatives. And I am here for it.
The connection with Mackenzie was undeniable and the flicker of hope and acceptance it created for me in Talia’s story was beautiful.
It’s a must read for anyone who’s new to kink, has an interest in kink or full on lives for kink. It will touch you in all the right places. Yessssssssss!!!!

Oh boy, what an absolute treat this book was right from the very first page. This book very much has Lasairiona's signature mark on it and is everything we as the readers needed it to be. Daddy Jagger definitely doesn't disappoint in this book and it's left me wanting more, more of him and Talia, everything just give me more please.
Being book 2 in a series, we're taken back to Club Protocol and we're re-introduced to characters we've met before but also given more of a dash of those we're yet to meet and it's only making me more intrigued for what's or shall we say who is to come?
Obey may be a slow burn and yes it takes a little time for it to get spicy but it's more than worth it when it happens because there's fireworks going off like it's New Years all over again and we're only in May!
Lasairiona didn't disappoint once again and I know I'll be coming back for more for the next book in the series. Is it too early to countdown?

She’s loud, he’s broody. She’s short, he’s tall. She’s vanilla, he’s a dominant. You would think they wouldn’t mix, but you’d be wrong.

While Talia is trying to strike out on her own after ending her engagement she wasn’t expecting the tall broody man next to her on the plane. When the flight gets delayed for bad weather they end up at Club Protocol.

Jagger wasn’t expecting that the talkative, half-pint was going to say her ex was his college rival, and what better way to have revenge on him than showing his ex-fiancé just how not vanilla he can be.

It was only supposed to be one night but finding her bucket list of self-exploration of the kinky kind intrigues him.

I loved seeing Talia find her voice and stick up for herself to her bullish parents. Jagger was also really sweet even when he was a little grumpy, and pushing her away.

The other couples from the series made an appearance including my favorite Austin! This was a great addition to the series!

Thank you to the author for an arc for review, all opinions are my own and given freely.

Obey -by - Lasairiona E McMaster.

This author had my at grumpy mechanic. I mean I don’t know about you but a grumpy mechanic is simply hot. This is Jagger and Talia’s story. These two meet in a plane which is canceled due to the weather. So even though he may present this grumpy leave me alone vibe he takes Talia with him so she won’t be stranded alone. Now Mr. Grump is not only a mechanic who is his own boss by the way but he is also a Dom. I mean come on super hot right. So while snowed in he introduces her to his very interesting hot lifestyle. He then offers her to show her and tech her how to stop being the vanilla girl she is. I mean yes please. You guys have to read this book it is a very fiery opposite attract romance with some forces proximity in there. Definitely one to read and one I recommend.

Whoa whoa whoa… can I first say that bit of a cliffhanger at the end of the way too short bonus chapter about killed me. The kiss (won’t say names).. the chemistry.. then no more. 😫 You could have done SOO much more damage to let that storyline go a bit further with play. But luckily I loved this book like Control and won’t hold this against you. Also a double pen would have been fun again in this book since it was on her list. Just sayin’. ✌🏼
This one was wonderful and well written just like book 1. I appreciated the warning to late pen happening but it was no less hot of a book and I was invested from start to finish. You always manage to pack such a punch without having to write for 500+ pages. 👏

Obey is book two of the Protocol series and I think it’s the best yet! I loved a good forced proximity read and this one is hot hot hot! Lasairiona kills it every time wi5 the BDSM storylines!

Talia has a heck of a lot going on with calling off her engagement and trying discover herself when she finds herself snowed in with Jagger. This man is a hot, sexy and grumpy but quiet mechanic that also works at the sex club. So he takes it upon himself to give Talia a few things she can check off her “bucket list”. Things definitely get steamy while they are stuck together and you can just tell these two have chemistry!

This is amazing continuation of the series and I absolutely loved that the characters and storylines are all interconnect seamlessly!

You Will Want to Obey Too
Lewis has a way to make you want to become the heroine in this story just so you could be under Jagger's spell and commanding and sexy personality.
They both each have their own baggage to carry around but they feed off each other's strength and resilience.
Not wanting to give away any spoilers all I will say is that I am so pleases that Talia was strong enough to overcome all her baggage. This book can be a stepping stone for those who have similar struggles - to see how one can make changes when/if they believe they can/want to and have a strong support system.
Can't finish this review without adding how hot and sexy some of the scenes are depicted, especially those included with the gang at Protocol.
Way to go Lasairiona. Keep them coming.

What happens when you are seated together on a flight that is grounded in a snowstorm? Jagger is the grumpy mechanic who has 'leave me alone' vibes and a total a-hole but he takes the bubbly chatterbox Talia from the plane with him to keep her from freezing to death. But when he takes her to spend the night at Club Protocol, where he is also a Dom. Talia, the naïve, klutzy chatterbox gets her first introduction to the lifestyle. When she stands up to her family's browbeating determined not to marry her cheating ex and grows a spine of steel you want to cheer for her. Obey is a cute opposites attract. It's very slow burn story but the humour and s
chemistry between Jagger and Talia is hot. There is so much use of southern humor from Talia that makes you laugh. When the steam finally arrives it's hot and adorable. I loved how in the end both families accepted each other despite the differences.

I was excited to receive a copy of Obey to enjoy. I read Control and loved that and Obey was equally engaging. I liked the character development and the angst that was varied and predictably unpredictable. Talia's journey with Jagger was amusing, awakening and boundary pushing for both of them in very different ways. This was one of those books that has sat with me since I finished reading fit. I have thought about this review and mostly hope that folks can see past reservations and possible judgement and see these characters and their challenges and victories both personal and with the world as gifts form the pen of Larsairionia Lewis to such a great series and its characters and us as fans or new readers.

Oh my god AHH finished this book last night and it is on repeat in my head all day today in fact I came home and reread parts again already. Thought I knew how the story was going to play out but kept me on my toes. Absolutely loved Talia and Jaggers chemistry, they are complete opposites but they just work so well. I did not like her ex or her parents and I'm so glad you saw her journey of understanding what she actually wants and not just letting others sway her. Cannot wait for the next book in the series and will have to go back and re-read all my favourites now.

Wow, this book sucked me right in. It was a page-turner right from the start. I loved both MCs, and each of them were complete opposites, but it worked so well. The blend of romance and character depth was superb. I mean Jagger's grumpiness to his absolute attentiveness and caring was to die to for. Seriously, I would gladly drop to my knees for him anytime. And, Talia, my sweet Talia, she was such a sweet and innocent girl who was so open and willing, even with what had happened to her. And, I loved it and her. Now, the storyline was written well, with some laughs, romance, and spice, which truly was a delight to read. I highly recommend this book!

Jagger and Talia

I absolutely loved this book. I think I liked it even more than the first. It starts out a little slow but I promise it gets really good so if you start this book and think of DNF-ing pls stick with it. The way both of these characters grew on me and had me loving them at the end. I absolutely loved their interactions together, they had me smiling and chuckling, swooning and fanning myself, even had to pick my jaw up off the floor a couple of times. My kids were looking at me like I'd lost my mind with me over here talking to myself😂
