I really just skimmed this book in prep for an interview, so I really skipped the main section about cultivating long term confidence in favor of quick exercises. But, from the little I did skim of the main section, I think I will enjoy going back at some point to integrate those more long-terms goals into my life. I appreciate the simple directness of Rob Yeung's approach, and find that his books include solid, practical advice.

The things that I did takeaway from this first read were all good too. I like the way he talks about confidence as being part of a loop of thoughts/feelings/action, and that confidence really comes after the action. There were also good reminders in there about writing out my values, acknowledging negative thoughts but then reframing them as if you were supporting a friend, or just dancing around a room to get excited. All good stuff.

The book did help me to boost my energy to get confidence.

Start your day with a positivity policy "I can do it!" "Today's gotta be great!"

Replace your negative thinking/speaking with positive one. Write them out.

Using FACADe to express your emotions and find out there is a flaw in your thoughts.

Find out your strengths & celebrating them.

A lot and maybe some repeat. But I am gonna try to learn from role models & doing action plans.
