Monomania: The Autobiography of Tom Dory
One day Tom decides to document his life story. During various stages of his life Tom is troubled by dreams of people that are forbidden from traveling to 'the other side' and he becomes suspicious of their purpose. Tom often wakes up from his dreams wondering if he is merely existing in a reflection of reality. Something is happening to Tom that he doesn't understand. He is drifting through a spiritual journey of abstract multidimensional impressions. Obsessed by a single passion, he pursues answers in his dream world, traveling on an adventure of the inner mind and not stopping until he understands and discovers his destination.

(to the Other side)
I visualize Jim Morrison and Tom Dory singing this song as a duet.
Follow Tom, a sensitive man who is alone in his obsessive delusions, on a journey full of Kmart Blue Light Specials, vomiting and tears.
You may picture Monty Hall asking "What's behind door number....?"
The Grandma/Tom and Master Po/Grasshopper connection is fascinating!
Does the mirror reflect the truth and what's real or does it symbolize conscious and unconscious mind games? You know, like a dream.
Or is Tom's poor neglected wife shouting, "Go to the Mirror Boy", as the Rock Opera lad was told to do, to wake up her ever sleeping hubby.

Tom Dory is living dreams and nightmares within his head, unable to separate reality from sleep induced travels. Follow along as he moves from one existence to another, just like reliving memories triggered by snapshots in a photo album. The reader will be challenged to separate what is real and what is a figment of Tom's imagination.
