If you look out over today's workforce, you'll find millions of hard-working people who are overly tired, overly stressed, and less than enchanted with work. For organizations around the globe, this represents an incredible opportunity to improve productivity, talent retention, innovation, and overall profitability.
The great paradox here is that when you take hard-working, responsible adults with a desire to succeed and a sense of responsibility and drop them into our demanding work culture, they tend to default to a way of life that sabotages their ability and best efforts to reach their goals. That's where Andy Core comes in. He has devised a strategy to help you become energized a work.
This book is designed to be used as: Resource for work-life balance they can provide their people Tool to help you increase productivity during the final two hours of work by up to 47 percent Content to fuel their employee communication vehicles Curriculum that their departments can use in weekly or monthly meetings to keep everyone working at their best.
There were practical ideas in this, but be prepared for business terminology to be applied to the personal sphere (e.g. CEO of your own life, personal SOP). Also, there's a major error in a reference about the film "Jaws" that really bothered me.
There is nothing in here that I haven’t heard before, but the way it was presented was very motivating and enlightening. I would recommend it to anyone feeling frustrated and overwhelmed.
Anyone could read this and take something away that will better their life. I like the concept. Rather than look to far in the future make one small change in your day that practiced daily will make a big impact in your life. I have personally experienced this myself so I know it works. Even so he manages to systemize the process for you. Will makes a huge difference in the life of someone like myself who runs a business. He's long on the stories but I just skimmed thru those. Very easy read. Two to three sittings.
