In the spirit of Jung's work with divination and synchronicity this book combines a highly scientific approach to analyzing probability, and accuracy in any given reading. The deck most often referenced is the Thoth deck.
In conjunction with authors that offer their insights from an esoteric perspective to offer a unique book for learning about the Tarot. As for the scientific studies, they could be equally applied to any form of sortilege.

Now, when the esoteric-leaning authors dip into matters of the past, I found more regurgitation of oft-repeated misinterpretation and fabrications to insert an ancient mystical heritage to the deck when no such lineage ever existed. In that regard, the infatuation for some bygone relics of antediluvian authenticity mars the surface of this study that could advance understanding, and usage of augery. Pushing a narrative urtext will continue to give this study a miasma, and taint until the majority accepts the European early Renaissance roots, and branches of this particular prediction method. No other type suffers from the load of twaddle
