The illustrations were fantastic but the story was not very compelling.

A cute story about a dog who is growing up. He is about to go to school and is looking back to when he was little.
(Funny moment- when he runs too fast and his mom loses him- she yells 'Help, I've lost my little dog!' LOL)

given to Mhairi.

I was moving stuff around today and found this book and a few others that I hadn't read since I don't know how many years. I was feeling a little sentimental and missing my mom who bought me this and other golden books. I was thinking about her today with her bday in a week and come January it be three years that she will be gone. This was one of my favorites then and still is.

This book tells the story of when dog was a wee little pup. It started off with him in nursery school before telling the story of him growing into a big dog going to school. The art work is wonderful and dog is so cute. Reminds me of my little dog wolf.

“Most of the time Dog played with his own toys. But sometimes he liked to play with his mother’s or father’s things, especially if they were hard to reach.”

A pleasant reading book telling Dog how it was when he was a baby.
