Alliance: A Young Adult Dystopian Romance

Rate this book
A brutal loss. A shocking discovery. A harrowing sacrifice.

The rebellion lies in ruins after an explosion rocks the city. But when Faith discovers the Chancellor’s end game, she knows she has to act. Even if it means putting herself in harm’s way.

Reeling from his traumatic mission, Noah returns to headquarters to discover Faith missing. He’s desperate to mount a rescue. But her position behind enemy lines makes her useful, and the Resistance wants her to stay where she is.

As tensions mount, Noah despairs of ever seeing Faith again. A risky assignment offers him one last chance to find her and help the Resistance bring the Chancellor down. If it fails, the revolution is over. For good.

Even if they succeed, there are no guarantees that everyone will come out of it alive.

The fourth and final book in the Bellator Chronicles, Alliance is filled with intense drama, gripping action, and a pair of star-crossed lovers you’ll be rooting for long after lights out. Perfect for fans of The Selection, Noughts and Crosses, and The Handmaid’s Tale.

About the author

Clare Littlemore

22 books183 followers
Clare Littlemore is a young adult dystopian and sci-fi author who thrives on fictionally destroying the world with a cup of tea by her side. The tea will often be cold, because her characters have a way of grabbing hold of her and not letting go until the final page of their story is finished. They regularly have the same effect on her readers.

As well as being a writer, Clare is an avid reader. In other people's books and her own, she enjoys imagining how the world might look in a few decades and considering how ordinary characters might deal with the extraordinary situations the future throws at them. Clare lives in the North West of England with her husband and two children.

Alliance is the fourth book in The Bellator Chronicles. I have to say that I have truly loved reading The Bellator Chronicles. Each book just gets better and better. The action just keeps pouring out page after page.

Alliance opens with a blast, a literal blast as an explosion goes off somewhere in the city. Alliance opens with our favorite people trying to figure out where the explosion happened and if their people are still alive as they are scattered all over the city.

I could only imagine the horror, the grief, the panic, the fear, the dread, they were all feeling as they waited to find out who survived not to mention the anticipation of finding out who made it out alive and who didn’t.

Oh, man, my heart was racing as I raced to the end not able to turn those pages as fast as I wanted. The twists just kept on coming twisting me even more knots as I waited for the end results to take place. And speaking of endings what a surprise it was.

Faith and Noah are both working hard to do their part in bringing the Chancellor down once and for all. Their faith as well as everyone else hangs in the balance. Can they take down the Chancellor before it is all over? Can they save themselves and everyone else?

Alliance held me in its grip all the way to the end. I could not stop reading. I was lost in Alliance’s world the minute I turned to that first page and began reading. It was not only a blast for the characters but a blast for me as well. My world disappeared the moment theirs appeared.

I would highly recommend Alliance to all dystopian fans. Grab your copy of Alliance today!

OH MY GOSH! Claire Littlemore does it again with another great series. Throughout the book, it had me not wanting to put it down, because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. So many things happen throughout the ending of the series.
Faith is such a strong young lady that shows how love and listening is so important. Noah struggled so much because of his thoughts being on Faith and her safety. Madeline knows hiding all the time isn't the answer. Sophia, Anna, Kemp, oh my goodness, so many great characters to read about. Arden made me smile with his strength to help out even when he wasn't welcomed.
The loss, the tears, the struggles for them all. It was tough lessons for so many involved, but in the end, the surprises Ms. Littlemore gives makes you see how great she is as an author.

Alliance is the final book in the Bellator Chronicles series. I had the pleasure of being an ARC reader beta reader, and the story was riveting every time I read it. The author holds you in the grips of the protagonist’s point of view and with every reading, it was a page turner. The suspense of what would happen, the twists and turns, and challenges the characters faced is this dystopian world were intense. It’s hair-raising moments and the emotional ride gripped me. The ending of the series was also very satisfying, tying up loose ends and bringing bringing the lives of the characters you’ve grown to care about to a resolution. It’s every bit worth the read, even when reading it several times, and that’s saying a lot.

I was given this book as an ARC reader which I was thrilled to do for one of my favorite dystopian authors. I remember the cliff hanger of the book 3 after the explosion and wondering who was safe and who was not. This book starts off there and brings you through trying to take down the chancellor and finding out who was safe and was not. It’s always a thrill to see the story unfold. The books in this series always keep me up reading for hours until the end. This one delivered just like the rest. Thanks for a wonderful series and I look forward to reading ,any more of your books.

I have to admit, from the start of this series, I really really loved the books. I literally devoured each book as I got it, soaking in all the story and absorbing the incredible world building this author has done. With this, the conclusion of the story, I was just as drawn in. I don't know if it is the writing style or the story itself that makes it so addicting! I actually had to convince myself to stop reading and sleep on a work night, and that took a lot of convincing because I was hooked. I absolutely loved this book, and the entire series!

A fantastic conclusion to this wonderfully written series - it felt like this book even more than the first three (how that is possible, I'm not sure though!) had so much action, adventure, suspension and excitement it was a challenge to put it down! I have loved being part of Faith and Noah's journey through this series and can't wait to see what Clare has in store for us next! Highly recommended series!

It once again had me hooked from the first page & I finished in no time at all! A brilliant story, well written, with a few surprises along the way! I do recommend!

Noah and Faith continue their fight against the Chancellor. Faith is missing and Noah goes on one last mission in the hopes that he will find her. A fitting end to the Bellator Chronicles with high emotions and lots of action.

Beautiful finale

The depth of perspective this complete story provides can be painful. When I looked deeply at attitudes so familiar it scared me. It's important we all remember equality and balance are vital to healthy and happy humanity.

4.5 rounded up. Great conclusion to another engaging quadrilogy from Clare! Her flow series was the first dystopian series to hook me back into YA in years, and Bellator kept me in. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

Clare Littlemore wraps up the fascinating Bellator Chronicles series with Alliance. I've always loved the world she created in this series—a dystopia in which women have banned almost all men from their society, and anyone who wants to live in a community in which the genders are equal must do so in secret.

In Alliance, we continue to follow Noah and Faith, the main characters from the whole series, but the secondary cast really shines too. We see people on every side of this fight reconsidering what they've always believed. There's a lot of action and intrigue, with romance on the side.

No spoilers here, but I cried happy tears while reading the epilogue!

4.5 stars. I've enjoyed being an ARC reader for this series, and this is my honest review.

Alliance (Bellator Chronicles #4) by Clare Littlemore is the well written conclusion to the series. As tensions mount risky assignments offer the resistance one last chance for the resistance to bring the chancellor down and the start of peace. If they fail the revolution is over... for good

This is my second finished series of Clare's that I have read and I have loved every book. Alliance is a great wrap-up to a great series, just like everything else she writes. This book definitely had highs and lows in terms of emotions (you may need a tissue or two). I think you will love how Clare ends this series. One of my favorite parts is definitely the epilogue. I don't want to say too much and accidentally spoil it so I will leave it at that.

If you haven't read this series yet and just came across this book I highly recommend you give it a go.

**I was given an ARC copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion and everything stated is an honest opinion.**
