This book is not "heavy" but it has heavy information that can "enlighten" your mind with regard to veterinary. Veterinary medicine is a branch of science that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease, disorder and injury in animals. This book seems to tackle all the topics in veterinary. The topics are divided into two, activities (veterinary practice roles) and animal species. The first topic includes the following, data gathering and interpretation, health maintenance and problem management, professional behavior, and communication and practice management. The second topic includes feline and canine, birds, bovine, porcine, ovine/caprine/cervidae, equine, marine, and mammals. Research is also included that tells about the animal welfare act as well as those common animals used as a model in research.
