Megan is a powerful tiger shifter. Most of the males of the pride see her as just one of the guys. Her younger brother keeps getting involved in arm wrestling or wrestling matches with male shifters and betting on her victory. Megan is tired of it all and just wants to find her mate and start her own family. She decides to move out of town and start a new life even though it makes her brother mad. He wants her to continue waiting hand and foot on him and keep bailing him out of trouble. Megan even approaches Uncle Uzzi to find her mate. He sets her up with a date in her new town at a dire wolf shifter bar. She is supposed to meet Cole there. When she meets Cole sparks fly and Megan thinks that Uncle Uzzi was successful. Then Cole tells her that he has no interest in having a mate and that he wants to be just friends.
Cole had his heart broken several years ago when he lost who he thought was his fated mate. Since then he has shown no interest in woman except as one night stands. He believed that because he lost his mate he couldn't have another. Finally his alpha has had enough and tells him that they couldn't have been fated mates because she wouldn't have left him. Cole feels like a huge burden has been lifted but he never wants to be abandoned again. When Uncle Uzzi sets him up, he is disbelieving but curious. When he sees Megan in the bar, he and his wolf are drawn to her. However his strong feelings that came so fast has him all confused. He tries to keep things just as friends but that may be his biggest mistake ever.

Excellent!
Uncle Uzzi is going to have to work hard for this couple. Megan is a tiger shifter and has spent her life trying to keep her little brother out of trouble and cleaning us his messes. No males in her Pride will have anything to do with her, mostly because of her brother, but also because she is stronger than most of them. She’s not exactly petite. So, she lists Uncle Uzzi’s help in finding a mate.
Uncle Uzzi knows that one of the Dire Wolf’s MC wolf’s is her mate. Unfortunately, Cole is a grumpy, woman hating kind of guy. He got his heart broken when the woman he thought was his mate walked away from him over a decade ago. That’s a long time to hold a grudge! But when his Alpha orders him to show up for the date set up for him at the Serious Moonlight Roadhouse, he doesn’t have any choice but to obey.
When they first meet, Cole’s wolf is all in for Megan, and Megan’s tiger feels the same way. Megan is also totally on board, and Cole has also taken with the beautiful Megan. But as guys will do, just about the first words out of his mouth are, “I don’t want a mate but we can be friends”. Way to shoot yourself in the foot, Cole!
Perhaps Uncle Uzzi is losing his touch after all these years matchmaking? This is a fun and very entertaining book, with a little danger thrown in as well. Great addition to the series!.

His alpha tells him he's going on a date. He needs to understand that the female he thought was his was not his mate. His wolf is ready willing and will be all able to find a mate. Cole is a mechanic and a very good one. Megan is a painter who loves to do custom jobs on cars and motorcycles. Oh my the points of interest are coming together. Now let's see if Cole will be able to see past his prejudice against females. But will Megan give him a second chance when he has her so confused with his hot/cold ways?

OMG! This is yet another wonderful story with Maverick Pride and Dire Wolf MC together. Megan is my hero! She's tough as nails and sweet as pie. I want to be like her when I grow up. Cole messed up at first but the man won my heart fast when he decided that Megan was worth his vulnerability. He's romantic and possessive. Megan's brother Matthew was a total tool. He needed his @ss spaked for being to absolutely selfish. And uncle Uzzi, let's just say I love that old witch. He needs his own series. He's witty, funny, sassy and a total romantic.

This is such a great story, once I started it I could not put it down. Megan, a beautiful Tiger shifter wants a mate and cubs so she gets Uncle Uzzi to set her up with a date. But when she meets her date Cole a Dire Wolf shifter, he puts her in the friend zone, and she accepts it. Not what he was expecting. Megan and Cole are so hot together they can't ignore their chemistry. And then Megan's brother, not so nice added suspense and danger to the story. Loved it, well written and one of the best by C.D. Gorrie.

There is a certain something to be said about being seen as one of the guys. You get to truly see their true selves but if you are looking for a mate, being the perennial honorary bloke is not going to get you anywhere. That leaves Megan with only a couple of choices, move towns to where no one knows her and start again or pray for some kind of magical intervention. Enter Uncle Uzzi. Cole is a male of very much opposite halves. His direwolf craves a mate but his human side is terrified of being vulnerable. The two are constantly clashing and it is exhausting. Can he find a way to get some peace?

However, her feelings are quickly growing for this handsome Dire Wolf. Staying friends won't be an option. Cole is fighting his own battle. His beast wants a mate, the man, not ever. But his attraction to her will not be denied. Cole and his wolf will need to see eye to eye if they want to keep their newly found mate. This was a story of insecurities, fear and love. It was great to see the Pride and the Pack come together. I loved every minute of Cole and Megan's story. I received an early copy and this is my honest opinion.

C. D. Gorri did a fantastic job on the story. Elle Sonali did a fantastic job with the narration. The story is entertaining, interesting, engaging, enjoyable, witty, comedic, romantic, and more. It’s a paranormal shifter romance fantasy. Uncle Uzzi is at it again pairing up Cole and Megan who suit each other. What will happen to them? Will they be together or go their separate ways?

Cole is so much denial he may blow the best thing to happen in his life, ever, when Megan listens to his words. Throw in some danger and suspense and this book is a one-sit-read. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Enjoyable read with strong, likeable, and well developed characters and an engaging storyline. The end seemed a little rushed and editing could have used a little more attention. However, all in all, a most entertaining and enjoyable read that complemented this series.

Great book and a fabulous start to a new series. Action packed. I received this book as an arc for an honest review, and I loved UT and can't wait for the next book. It is a H.E.A. it's a must-read.
