After struggling with infertility for years and being betrayed by her lover, Ella finally decides to have a baby on her own. However everything goes wrong when she gets inseminated with the sperm of intimidating billionaire Dominic Sinclair. All of a sudden her life is turned upside down when the mix up comes to light -- especially because Sinclair isn't just any billionaire, he's also a werewolf campaigning to be Alpha King! He's not going to let just anyone have his pup, can Ella convince him to let her stay in her child's life? And why is he always looking at her like she's his next meal?! He couldn't be interested in a human, could he?
I keep forgetting that she is 30 years old with the way that she acts. Maybe she is reverting back to her childhood since she didn’t have one. But she can irk my nerves with the ways she acts. And maybe I missed something but where is Hugo wife?
My problem with this book and this part of the story is this. I was frustrating. The relationship between Ella and Dominic. Was that of a parent to child instead of two Grownups in an adult relationship. I mean it was no question in my mind that Dominic and Ella Loved each other very much.
But at the same time if Ella did something that Dominic didn’t like. Ella was punished like a child. Ella for her part. Feed into it. By acting like a child when she didn’t get her was. I mean really is Ella Dominic’s woman or what?
Ella was stronger before she even met Dominic. Everything she’s gone through. I was expecting a much more stronger woman in this relationship. Than a woman that is so willing to bend at a Man’s well. Just because he has that power in the relationship.
I am enjoying reading these books. Following the paths of Ella Sinclair, Henry and Roger and the threat from Damon. What bothers me is at the end of Book 3 it states that Book 4 is the final book of this story. I have spent more on these books than 15 books of my favorite author and those were 15 individual and complete stories. I will not be continuing with this series as I am seeing more than Book 5 will complete the series. A great read, just disappointed it is written this way.
The story is getting better. There is more action and plot. I’m enjoying the story so far and look forward to the next portion. Ella is a strong character and the evolution of her character is fascinating to read.
I'm so glad I bought these books! They've been a welcomed distraction. This series is great! Normally I don't like slow burn books but the author gives us just enough to keep us hooked.
