MISS CATELYN FITZSIMON HAD NO FEAR OF GENTLEMEN...With her beauty, birth, wit and wealth, Miss Catelyn Fitzsimon proved more than a match for the most gallant and greedy gentlemen of London society. First she toyed with them, then she spurned them, until her father was forced to send her into social exile on the estate of relatives in far-off Wales. She had strict orders to come to her senses and choose a proper lord to marry.Little did either Catelyn or her father dream that the man she would meet there would not be the kind of gentleman that Catelyn was so accustomed to conquering... but rather a figure of mystery and a legend of lawlessness in the habit of stealing what he wished, whether it was a purse of gold--or a haughty heart...

My mama wanted me to read this because she loved it when she was young. Probably a 3.5 stars for me.
I enjoyed this quick read a lot! The secret sexy rendezvous between Catelyn and “captain black” are scandalously delicious and the story has a great, fast pace.
Catelyn is a pretty good heroine because she’s got a dry sense of humor and truly just wants have control over her life.
Sometimes Rhys and Catelyn are obnoxiously grouchy with each other in the last third of the book just to cause conflict but that’s to be expected in a romance novel I suppose. And the Bella/Hu subplot was pretty meh because Hu just sucks.
Overall, though definitely worth the quick read for the fun and scandalous romance

Good enough, although heroine makes a few choices so bad they seem to have been to keep the story going--
