Disclosure:
I got a copy of this Encyclopedia in a Forum of Books that was held by the National community. I own both a paperback copy and an eBook of the same version.

Overview:
The book is a sort of Psychological teaching guide, in another word, It's a textbook of how to get acquaintance with this mysterious science. First you face a small test of questions than they put you in the general background, you get an idea of how psychology works, than at the end of each chapter you will find the answers of the questions, In fact you will encounter the History of Psychology and the changes that undergo that science, the major schools that emerge through the whole existence of psychology. The research methods are also stated, in addition to the changes that undergo children through there being in the adulthood. and the last is the social psychology which discusses the Interacting with other people.

Positive and Negative Aspects:
The book is a sort of separated chapters, Each discusses a certain aspect of psychology, but the most inspiring manner that devote me, was the simple test that you take, and the last result that you have when you finish the chapter. In other words, the Encyclopedia is a Stimuli-Response relation between the Reader and the contributors. The Language used is a simple English with some addition of the science vocabulary, but the reader will generally grasp the meaning intended.

My Personal Reaction:
This Self Teaching guide was my first getaway to get in touch with the Science of Psychology. I benefit from it a lot, It really helped me to understand that mysterious science, in relation with the self and with society as well. Besides, I really acquire a method that will help me to overcome the teaching difficulties, but anyway, I have to strengthen my knowledge so much with this Science discipline.

Recommendations:
I simply recommend this book to all the folks who want to get knowledge of this Science, in addition to the new student who intended to get deep in the Knowledge of Psychology. But I may say that so much Psychology may drive crazy soon enough, Just pay attention.

The book is so informative. It is really helpful for people who have just begun exploring psychology.

It mentions many aspects in psychology such as motivation, love, learning, biology of behavior, sex, personality, social psychology, for reader to consider. With each key term, the author provides its definition and an example so that it’s so easy to understand the concept.

However, I expect that I will discover deeper insight in psychology like how can I motivate myself, how to break bad habits or which is most reliable method for self study, but the book barely provide general information. I understand what the book says but in my opinion, readers who have the same expectation have to go further with other books.

A really good book, very helpful. Very explicit illustrations that make learning easier. I enjoyed reading it and I did like that it had small tests at the end of a chapter, to test your knowledge. Definitely a must for students that want to learn psychology independently.

It is a fairly good book, it achieves its goal which is to give an introduction to psychology in a brief and concise way, reviewing most of the main topics enough to have a background of the science as a whole.

Even though most of the stuff made me feel like this book was made for the average 12yo who has no idea about psychology whatsoever, it still has quite a lot to offer for those looking for a simplified introduction
