The chapter titled 'Not Piaget Again' basically refers to every educational theory ever mentioned to me during my three years training as a primary school teacher and my two years of A levels.

So imagine how exciting it was for me to read this. The book titles the chapter very well but doesn't actually bring anything new to the table. I'm still depressed by the same educational theories mentioned in every assignment and every single year.

Nothing new for experienced researchers/readers of teaching and children's development. I'd only recommend it if you were a newbie but then I'd still probably recommend Understanding Children's Development (Smith, Cowie & Blades, 2008) as that is an absolute godsend for assignments.
