About the author

Angela Thomas is the best-selling author of numerous books including DO YOU THINK I'M BEAUTIFUL and MY SINGLE MOM LIFE. She is a gifted teacher and story-teller speaking to thousands each year. Angela teaches and transparently shares life experiences that draw her and others into a deeper passion for knowing God. Thomas graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill & Dallas Theological Seminary. Angela has filmed and written four video studies with LifeWay including WHEN WALLFLOWERS DANCE. Living in Greensboro, North Carolina, Angela is also a wife, mother and an ordinary woman.

This was a really sweet study. It was peaceful and tranquil. The author and study radiated a quiet strength and assurance of the strength of our Father that was compelling. It was full of really good reminders and rooted in the truth that God is stronger than anything and everything. He is strong enough to handle our trials, no matter what shape they take.

The book did feel a little repetitive to me at a certain point. It was good to examine each of the different areas that God is stronger than, but I didn't really feel like there was much new said other than "God is stronger that [insert blank]." And, though there were scriptures used throughout the study lessons, I didn't have to open my Bible to read passages or search for answers that helped me to better understand God's word. And some of the questions she asked didn't really feel like they led me to a deeper understanding of God's word or my own circumstances either. It just felt a little surface level in some places.

But that said, I did still enjoy it. And her video lessons were really encouraging. I'd recommend the study, especially to those who just need a good reminder to be rooted in truth. The book was aesthetically pleasing and had plenty of room to write answers, which I always love! And, again, there just was this gentle calm throughout the whole study that I very much appreciated.

I loved the study and book, but not the videos. It's applicable to our daily lives as busy moms, etc. But, the videos were somewhat distracting b/c they were too "southern".

This was a good study if you're looking for a quick, easy lesson each day (10-15 minutes) covering basic thoughts about how God is stronger than anything we'll ever face.

This was a wonderful book that breaks you down and helps remind you of who is in charge and is Stronger than everything that life throws at you. I did this book as part of a Bible study for PWOC and I was very thankful for the perspective of my fellow classmates and the discussions we had. We did not have the video to go with this but it was still wonderful. After reading this, I feel like I can get through these next few weeks and what they have to offer.

Read this in a Bible study and the video sessions were amazing. It has been a good study on opening my eyes to how we find strength in God and made me realize that at times trial we receive are to teach us to rely on His strength and not our own. He is the strength that pulls us through when we don't feel we are strong enough.
