Since her mother’s death ten years ago, Isadora has lived under the thumb of her father, the all-powerful Eli St. James. Branded as crazy and confined to the house, no one believes her when she tries to tell them the real reason behind the wounds that appear on her body, the way she is always falling down or crying out in pain.

Everything changed the night Lyla Evans stumbled into her attic. After finding a moment’s peace in Lyla’s presence, Izzy is determined to escape. Escape her father, escape the strange, flying ‘friends’ he brings into the house and find Lyla, her salvation. When she finally reaches Lyla, however, Izzy finds more questions than answers.

Before she realizes it, Izzy is agreeing to go back into her father’s house as a spy, to find out what his master plan is. To learn the secret of her mother’s death, the reason behind her strange past, the meaning of faith in God, and the reason for the whisper of memories in the back of her mind about the mysterious Fallen who seems so set being what she’s never had; a protector.

Welcome :]

Third person feels.... impersonal, so lezz just keep it real ;]

My name is Kassandra, one of the few rare gems who spell the name with a K. I like to read, write, and lay in the sun. Since I live in sunny Florida, I'm usually doing all three at once. I dream of returning to my hometown, Columbus, Ohio, but in the meantime I make do with placing most of my stories there. I come from a huge family dominated with girls and have a dopey, mostly-Black-Lab dog named Phineas. I tend to like fictional men better than real ones, and sometimes it's quite the hassle trying to keep up with all my book-relationships ;] Someday, though, I'm sure true love will strike me down, but until then, I'll share all my book boyfriends with you.

They can be found in all my novels, and I hope I speak the truth when I say I have a little something for everyone; mystery, romance, paranormal, real-life, drama and epicness. You can find information about my past, present, and forthcoming books in both my blog and Facebook links. I absolutely love to hear from readers, so be sure to drop me a line so I can thank you personally.

I'll leave you to read now, but welcome to my world; a place where true love exists, everyone gets a happy ending, magic is real, God is love, and it's perfectly acceptable to skip sleep, food, and company in order to finish that last chapter.

Oh, and the men are extremely good looking ;]

I was honored to read and review this book!!! Thank you!!

I have been following this author since I read her fist story 'Guardian'. I love this series and they have lifted my spirits! I have been struggling with my won faith for so, so long. While i was reading this book, I actually felt the weight of all my burdens lift and fly away. The scriptures the author uses at every chapter mesmerized me and I picked up my Bible for the first time in years.

Now that i have confessed of how this story impacted my life, I'll tell you how much I loved the story line and every character. Yes, even the bad ones. Izzy is trapped! She literally has nothing to live for. All she wants is love and affection from a father that has nothing to do with her. When she meets Michael her life changes forever. Will she be able to save herself and her father? You never know unless you pick up this book. This is a must read!!!!!!

" On the wrong side of heaven and the righteous side of hell" -five finger death punch. I thought this quote was rather fitting for the fallen.

I read "the things we cannot change" and I have been following kassandra on social media. After finishing up another series I decided to read this one. I find kassandra's writing to be absolutely extraordinary and I love all the emotion and highlight on the sad things that happen to a lot of people in the world.

This series is a great read. I couldn't put it down. Even if you are not a strong believer in God, it's okay because this book still has an amazing story and has some great points and lessons in it.

Thank you kassandra for writing so many amazing books! <3

Just as good if not better than Guardian! I was entranced from bringing to end. Such a great story of faith, love, trust, and fear all wrapped up in one and sealed with a beautiful bow! Patiently awaiting #3!
