A good, quick read. I've read many John C. Maxwell books over the years. While somewhat formulaic--and definitely filled with bullet points--I always learn things. Or at the very least, I am reminded of things I've learned in the past. Always inspirational. Following are my notes from this book.
Attitude Axiom #1: Our Attitude Determines Our Approach to Life ... Like an airplane, if our "nose" is pointed up, we are taking off; if it is pointed down, we may be headed for a crash.
Q: Don't you know that Rome wasn't built in a day?
A: I know that. But I wasn't Foreman on that job.
Q, to then 83-year old Frank Lloyd Wright: Which of your works would you select as your masterpiece?
A: My next one.
Charles "Tremendous" Jones, author of "Life is Tremendous", says, "What you will become in five years will be determined by what you read and who you associate with."
"Who we are today is the result of choices we made yesterday. Tomorrow we will become what we choose today. To change means to choose to change."
David vs. Goliath ... why did David choose 5 stones for 1 Goliath? It wasn't a flaw in his faith...Goliath had 4 sons! So 1 stone per giant. (see 2nd Samuel)
Belief is inward conviction; faith is outward action.
