"You and I, we written in the stars way before we ever even knew the other existed"
Hands down my favorite quote!

I had won this book in a giveaway and I am so glad I did. It is the first book in the "In the Moments" trilogy. I absolutely loved everything about it. For me, I really don't like reading books with Love Triangles but with this book even though the Author made it heartbreaking it was enjoyable. Of course I got frustrated but it was so well written that I loved it. The Author definitely knows how to get you to Love both swoon worthy guys in this book. I loved everything about Kyle. He was sweet, hot, sexy and had a bad boy side. He also was in a band. What's not to love?! He seriously grew on me. Now Eric was all things good. He was hot, sexy, mysterious (in his own way), overprotective, bossy, and sweet. To make it even better he was a Detective! With a badge and handcuffs. Yes please! From the very first page he was it for me. Something about him intrigued me and I wanted to learn more about him. I loved everything about him. Now on to the main character, Caroline. I loved her. She made the story interesting. Throughout the book she goes through alot with her emotions. She literally is on a rollercoaster ride with her feelings. She is a very strong character. She learns things about herself and grows as a character. I love character growth in books. And this book definitely had that with all the characters. By the end of the book she realizes the choice was never up to her on who she would end up with. Hence my favorite quote above. It was one of my favorite scenes from the book. I also got to say that i loved all the secondary characters. Tara, Raleigh, and Adam made the story enjoyable. They were good for Caroline. They were there for her when they needed her. They made me laugh and cry. Seriously?! I can't say enough about this book. Joan Duszynski is definitely a new favorite Author of mine. I totally recommend this book. Get your copy today! You won't regret it.

Now i am patiently waiting for In the Now (May 2014) and In the Fairytale (December 2014) to come out. Can't wait!

***Arc was given to us in return for an honest review***

Now this is what I love. A book full of yummy hot sex, hot men and drama.

Caroline Reyes, collage girl just trying to get through each day without her BFF around. Has to deal with a skank for a roommate. But, thanks to her she meets Tara one crazy morning. Who then she introduces her to her brother Eric. Yeah he's hot and all but he is also rude. She doesn't understand why after that day he never leaves her mind. Dreams about him and all!

Well then miss lucky pants one day while with her BFF at her doctors appointment meets Kyle...hottie physical therapist / Musician! (How can you refuse that? I wouldn't) He asks her out yada-yada-yada they go on a date and all of a sudden yes they hit the sheets and do the horizontal polka! Oh yeah and it gets hot! He is so attentive to all her needs. I'm in awe! You need to read this to fully understand what I am talking about ladies!

Anyways as always the lead girl character irritates me cuz she can't make up her mind...but what is new! I started to care for her cuz I understand where she is coming from. You can care for two men at one time. It's a tough decision only your heart can make. She goes through some stuff...I would rather not spoil it for you but she always has her friends around to help her through it all.

I really loved the relationship between Caroline and Raleigh. They both had me laughing a lot throughout the book. And when Tara joined in it was perfect. I loved Adam and Tara, Cant wait to read In the Now! Ok let me stop rambling and just say go get this book and Joan Duszynski, you lady have me hooked. Thank you and I can't wait to read more of your books.

Ok so this book gets all kind of kudo points from me. I gave it 5 stars!! #1 the author is from VA, #2 the story takes place in VA, #3 I loved it!! It has drama, friendship, a love story, and two hot steamy men. Are you team Eric or team Kyle?

This story is so hard to talk about and not give spoilers. Caroline is a second year college student with her bitch of a roommate Piper. She has a rude awakening on an early Saturday morning from an irate student who "has gone postal." She then tries to comfort this person over coffee, where she has her first encounter with Eric.

Caroline goes home to visit her best friend Raleigh, where she meets Kyle. Does she love Kyle? Or does her heart belong to Eric? Caroline looks to the stars for the answers that she hopes will help her make her decision. Who is going to feel the repercussions of her decision? Will it even be herself ?

3.5/4 stars so let me start with why i did like it, i was able to relate and connect with the characters. The college life, the hot boys and ray bans ;) the way the bffs talk to each other was very realistic and i really liked that. also the steamy scenes were HOT absolutely loved those parts lol it was sweet and romantic. Im not sure if it was just me but it seemed that the dialog was very...formal for the book. the way some of the characters spoke to each other didn't really match their personality, age, or surroundings. The hook/hype didnt happen until the very end and for my like in books (which is way too dark lol) it was all too nice and innocent. but at least you get your happy ending! so for you who like vanilla, sweet, and romantic, you will def enjoy this.

Joan has amazed me! I am so surprised that this is her debut novel. I CAN'T believe all the emotion and drama she put into this book. She has such an ease and natural flow to her writing that makes it very fast paced read. I DIDN'T WANT IT TO END! The ending was so sweet, but the HEA is wide spread and all characters are touched. I got misty while reading a hard break up scene. I am so glad that this is the beginning of the series, because I didn't get enough of an Eric fix. Both Kyle and Eric are so swoon worthy and take no shit when it comes to Caroline. I will read whatever Joan puts out, because her talent has no limits.

Let me just start off this review with what I loved most about this book. The characters were so awesome on their own merit; they didn’t need temper tantrums, excess drama, and immature attitudes to make their point. We ended up with three women who became great friends, the kind of friends any reader would love to have in real life.
Caroline is a mature college student who doesn’t enjoy a lot of drama in her life. She has seen firsthand how quickly life can pass by with the death of her father and her best friend recovering from a car accident that Caroline herself was injured in. One early morning her life began to take a turn that she would never expect.
Tara was crushed, how her boyfriend could cheat on her after she followed him to this college so they could be together was beyond her understanding. With anger filling her brain she was pounding on the door of the apartment that the woman who was with her man was supposed to live in. What she got was a tired Caroline who was instantly annoyed at this nonsense. After talking to Tara for a few minutes she was able to straighten out that it was her roommate that Tara was looking for and Caroline had no love lost for the roommate. She offered to go have coffee with Tara and let her talk this out and that was the beginning of a friendship that neither expected.
When Tara’s brother Eric found out what she was doing, he made a trip to see her and set her straight, what he also accomplished was setting a fire off inside Caroline with his good looks and beautiful eyes as soon as he walked into the coffee shop. I loved how Caroline handled it, she was mature even though she could feel the emotions and she left and went to her best friend Raleigh house to help her get to physical therapy and unloaded about her morning and how she felt seeing Eric.
Raleigh was the best friend whose life was put on hold after the accident. She had taken Caroline in the moment she saw her after Caroline’s father had died and she was forced to move to a new city. They have been together since that moment being more like sisters than friends. Needing to take a year off from college so she could recover, she was thrilled to see Caroline for the weekend. As if her day hadn’t been eventful enough, Caroline meets the new physical therapist Kyle and there is yet another connection and this is where the story of In the Stars begins.
While it sounds like it is setting up to be a love triangle, it didn’t have that feel for me. I feel like Caroline explored her relationship with each man separately then made her choice as to who had her heart. While it took a traumatic event for her to see clearly what and who she needed, it was all so well thought out. She never ran back and forth out of need or weakness and she continued to talk to the stars and her Daddy for guidance. We were able to see Tara and Raleigh build a friendship while still being there for Caroline and we were able to get a look into Caroline’s mothers life after the death of her husband. There were tense moments that left me unable to turn the page fast enough, I never felt overwhelmed with constant drama and events. This book was very well written with a realistic attitude towards relationships and life.
I think the author did a great job with her characters, giving us even secondary characters that we could relate to and care about. The story really didn’t drag at any time, as each page held an important piece to this story that was being created. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star was because I am not sure how long this book with stay with me. While I had a few hours of pleasant reading that kept my interest and gave me new people to love, I didn’t feel the emotional connection that left my heart affected and my brain engaged for hours after finishing the book. I do really recommend this book and I hope that Raleigh and Tara get a book of their own. If this happens I will certainly be counting the days till release.

Reviewed at Lost In A Book

There is so much about this book I want to say, but where do I start?

Ok, I think I'm going to do this backwards and start with the not so good. Don't worry, there's not much, and I want to get it out of the way so I can talk about all the good stuff.

1. desirable - ack! Too much desirable. That word was everywhere.
2. contractions - lack of; dialogue felt a little unnatural because no one ever used contractions. (its ok though, the movie in my mind made them use contractions)
3. Eric - I would've liked to see more interaction with him throughout.
4. unfinished business - alright, there were a few scenes where things happened and they seemed like they could be important, but then it was never mentioned again.

Ok, now, lets get to the good stuff... the great stuff... the awesome stuff.

This book had me hooked within the first three chapters.

Deranged Tara! OMG... I would so do that! I think I may have actually tried to do that once... or twice.

I'm a music person -- meaning I like music, not that I can sing or play. Most of my memories come with songs attached to them. You know, the whole "soundtrack of my life" thing. (totally off-topic, but I once asked my husband, if we were in a movie, what song would play in the background when I walked in the room... His answer: Crazy Bitch by Buckcherry -so, umm... yeah)
Anyhow, so the musical references in this book were great for me, especially when they are ones that actually are attached to some of my memories.

If you've never heard this, you must listen to it... NOW!

Chuck Berry - My Ding-a-Ling

Seriously, this is taking me entirely too long to write... because... well, I had to watch that. It always makes me smile.

I don't know if its a Virginia thing or not, but this book just felt comfortable to me. It felt like home and I loved it for that.

Caroline didn't talk about her Dad, she talked about her Daddy and if you're from Virginia you say it real fast so it sounds like you're saying Diddy.

There were the weekly family dinners and the closeness with extended family that you don't see much anymore. Its familiar to me, its the way I was raised and the way I live.

The college roommate from hell. Guess what? I had one of those too.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that its relate-able to me on many levels.

I did find myself wondering which college they were at and what town they lived in. Duh! I have to know where the hot cops and physical therapists reside.

The story itself, who hasn't been there? Unsure and torn. Young, hormonal and confused.

And the naughty parts... Oooh... they were naughty, I specifically like the ones toward the end.

And then you have two great big pieces of man candy... even if I think one is slightly psycho-stalkerish, he's still nice to look at.

At any rate, let me try to put this into a little better perspective because I'm starting to think everything up there is a bit all over the place.

This book felt like an old friend. Like the whole story is a private joke between me and them and it doesn't matter who else reads it, the only ones who will get it are us.

That being said, I can't wait for In The Now. I'll have another private joke to share with a new "old friend".

**BETH'S REVIEW**

*3.5 Stars*

"Relationship are never easy, and you can’t force the heart into something it just can’t be.”

In The Stars is a really enjoyable love story that is all about knowing when you meet that “one” person that was written in the stars to be meant for you This book contains a love triangle and if you are like me, you will be happy to know that the triangle does not include cheating.

Caroline is a university student who is in her second year but is without her best friend and roommate due to a car accident they had both been in during summer break. Due to the circumstances of her best friend trying to still recover from the accident along with having a new roommate who she hates, a new friend and two very hot and sexy men come into her life. I really enjoy Caroline’s character, I love that she was funny yet sassy, sexy but also down to earth klutz at times. She was such a likeable character.

Eric was a “hot and sexy” detective and the brother of her new best friend Tara. I do have to say that I really couldn’t connect with Eric at all. I wanted to see more storyline with Eric included so that I really get to know and fall in love him cause most of what we do see of him, he is such an ass to Caroline. He and Caroline had the chemistry but I just couldn’t feel it. I really didn’t care for his character and really didn’t find him sexy at all.

Kyle, on the other hand, is such an amazingly perfect BBF, he has just the right mix of romantic tenderness mixed in with the hot sexy musician. I absolutely loved fell in love with Kyle right from there very first minute and just kept falling further and further in love with him. He was totally swoon-worthy and when he and Caroline were in the same room, the chemistry between them was so beyond. I was totally Team Kyle after reading this book.

I really loved the other characters in this book, Tara and Raleigh as well as Adam. They were such great friends to Caroline and they really added to the story. I loved that we got to really get to know them and really looking forward to getting to read their stories of love in the author’s upcoming books in this series.

For a debut novel it was well written and I really enjoyed a lot of the characters in this story. The storyline was a really good with some nice twists in it but I had a several issues with book. First I found that for college aged characters their talk was way too formal for their age, and it made the conversations at times not feel realistic. Second, there a fair amount of editing mistakes. I don’t mind a few editing mistakes but after a few I find it starts distracting me away from the story. Third, though most part the book kept me engaged, I found the storyline between Caroline and Eric really fell flat for me. And last, without giving away any spoilers, the ending was rushed. The firs 75-80% of the book flowed at a really great rate but the last 20% including the Epilogue just felt too rushed which left me needing and wanting more story, it felt unfinished, hoping reading the next books in the series will clear that up.

I loved this book and had trouble putting it down. Caroline and her friend Raleigh were in an accident over the summer between their freshman and sophomore year of college. Raleigh was badly injured and couldn't come back for her sophomore year. This means that Caroline had to find someone new to room with. Which is how the story begins. Caroline's new roommate Piper likes to try all the boys at college. Whether they have a girlfriend or not. This is how Caroline meets Tara one morning very early. Piper was giving Tara's boyfriend a little exercise. Tara bugged everyone she knew until she found out who Piper was and where she was living. Caroline talks with Tara and helps her through the heartache of realizing that her boyfriend is cheating on her. This is how she meets Tara's brother Eric. He is a cop and very overprotective of Tara. When Caroline first sees Eric she is literally stunned speechless and pretty sure she just drooled a little on the table. Then he starts talking. She just feels supreme lust for him then. She leaves but not before he insists on driving her home. After all her and Tara are reckless. Tara going over to some unknown persons house, and Caroline for opening her door to some unknown person very early in the morning. Anything could have happened to either of them. Eric has this way of pissing Caroline off and then smiling at her. When he smiles all she can do is smile back and forget why she was mad at him. Later that day she drives the hour home to go the Raleigh to meet her new physical therapist. At the end of the session he asks Caroline for her number and if she would like to go out sometime. She says yes but that she doesn't actually live in the area she is just there for the weekend. He proceeds to ask her if she would like to go to lunch the next day and again Caroline says yes. The next day they go out and really hit it off. But, still at the end of the date she can't help thinking about Eric. She wants to just think its only about lust with him but she isn't sure. She feels something for Kyle that is different, something that could be more. She has these super hot dreams about Eric. Caroline is attracted to both of them. She must decide if she can commit herself to Kyle while still feeling things Eric. Is Eric even attracted to her? Sometimes the things he says makes her think he is but then she isn't sure if she is just hearing what she wants to.
This book was great. It was well written and the characters pulled me in. It is emotional and at times and steamy at others. Eric is very overprotective of Tara and then Caroline. He can come off as a bit of an ass and overbearing. Kyle has many different sides. Caroline loves discovering all the different sides of him. She loves music and finds ways to link songs to moments in life. Kyle plays the guitar in a band and that is a huge turn on for Caroline. Caroline and Raleigh have been friends for a long time and have a wonderful friendship. They are having a hard time not seeing each other every day like they used to before the accident. Tara is trying to get over her heartbreak. They all really help each other and care for each other. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

I was given an arc for a honest review on In The Stars. My honest opinion is you have to read this book. I loved it. It flowed right along perfectly. You will love "In the Stars" by Joan Duszynski!!And you'll love the charaters Caroline,Raleigh,Tara,Eric,Kyle and Adam.

Caroline is in college and after a bad car accident with her bestie,Raleigh, she has to share a dorm room with Piper, the campus whore. Raleigh cant return this year to college because she has to have therapy to gain mobility back. One early morning Caroline is woken up by someone knocking on her door. Its the girlfriend of the Pipers latest conquest, Tara. Caroline and Tara go for coffee and talk since Tara is so hell bent on beating the crap out of the girl who hooked up with her long time boyfriend, Andrew. Caroline and Tara are having their coffee and Taras brother comes to check on her since she was so upset. Well in walks Eric Wright!! He is " the greek god of sexual desire, Himeros." "He should be wearing a neon sign that reads out: Sex Allure Walking." Eric is cocky as hell and knows how to push Carolines buttons. He is one hot cop that has beautiful emerald green eyes, blonde hair cut in a military style, strong jaw line and has Caroline's panties wet as hell. And it seems to run in the family because there is another brother of Taras, Nick and he is just as hot as Eric. The Wright brothers are hot!

Raleigh has her first therapy session and asks Caroline to go with her. Well her hot therapist has his eyes set on Caroline. After they have their first session with Kyle, the hot therapist, asks Caroline on a date. Caroline lives an hour away from Raleigh so she comes and stays with Raleigh overnite and decides to go to lunch with Kyle the next day. From there their relationship blooms. Kyle is everything a woman wants in a man. Loving and caring and wanting to take care of them. Kyle is sweet and a hot sexy therapist that is in a band. Caroline relates music to alot of her ways of thinking. So she thinks him being a singer is going to make her want him even more. Does she want him more?

She just can shake the feeling she had from her meeting with Eric! He keeps her in dreamland about him. Caroline is so uncertain of these feelings she has for both men. Which one will get her heart? You have to read this to find out. Caroline is pulled in both directions and is having a very difficult time trying to figure out why.

I gave this 5 stars because I found the story so captivating and couldnt put it down. It has romance and some hot sexual tension going on throughout the book. You'll love it like I did. Is Kyle In the Stars for her or is the hot Eric In the Stars for her. She asks these questions to her father who worked for NASA and has died and is up In The Stars. There is alot of emotions in this book that just keep you interested in it.
September 10, 2016
"When I think about Eric, I go all full blown lustful. When I think about Kyle, I feel lust as well, but it isn't as strong. Not as uncontrollable of a sensation as it is for Eric. On the flip side, though, with Kyle I also feel happy and important. Eric, on the other hand, seems to frustrate me and make me feel little."

Caroline has her world rocked and torn into two directions by two mouthwatering guys!!! Every girls dream right???? You would think so..... but what happens when your feelings start getting mixed up in your head and you must decide if their feelings are stronger than yours or the reverse you feel something and they don't.

“I was standing in a field, tugging on one end of a long rope. Strangely, though, it was me standing on the other end of the rope too. Then I realized there were two people standing in the middle of the rope. One being Eric, and the other being Kyle. I was playing tug of war against myself for these two men.”

Caroline meets Tara one early morning not under the best of circumstances but they form an instant friendship. I love their bond and how it blossoms throughout the story. We are able to watch their friendship grow and see their support for each other. Caroline meets hunk #1, Eric, through Tara. He is Tara's older brother. Their is an instant attraction for Caroline and you can feel that draw between them. It's a spark and it pulls the reader in and makes them want more interactions between Eric and Caroline but we are given these quick intense moments.

We also have Raleigh, who is Caroline's best friend. She is currently in physical therapy for a car accident they were in together. Kyle is Raleigh's physical therapist and he definitely has an attraction to Caroline! I found myself being drawn to Kyle and instantly falling in love with his character. He always seemed to say the right things and was so attentive to Caroline. He was like your all American guy and someone that ANYONE could fall in love with!

Not only was Caroline in a tug-of-war with her emotions but I felt like I was too as a reader! I struggled with my feelings towards each of the guys because I liked them both. Most of the time I can pick one out and say... that is the winner.. it was harder in this story for me! I wanted them both to win and in the end we all know that only one can be left standing. I truly enjoyed this read and thought it was a great story! It was quick and enjoyable!

I am so happy I met this fabulous lady in December and she has been such a trooper with my busy schedule. Joan you rock & I am so sorry this has taken me so long to get out into the book world!!! Here goes...

I loved this book, it was slow and bumpy start at first because I was confused in the writing but around 40% the book really took off and I think Joan really got the hang of things. I just plowed through and finished in no time. When I am reading a book, I am one that can't NOT finish a book, no matter how good or bad. I am not going to lie but it was difficult for me at first to know who was talking and was this a male or female talking. There were some over descriptive scenes that could have used a little tweaking but again, this is a BRAND new writer and this was all new to her. I always give the benefit of the doubt. So yes, it was hard to get into at first, but it was a GOOD READ and I am glad I took the leap of faith and read it, the next one will only get better I am sure!!!

Boy am I glad I hung in there because this book really took off and took on a new life. I felt like I was finally part of the book, engulfed, entranced and when I read that's how I like to be, in the book, watching as each scene unfolds. This love story wore me out, not knowing which way she was going or coming but I love a good challenge. I was so sad at the decision but quickly got over that when I knew it wasn't written in the stars for her to be with this specific character.

When reading this book I was told to envision Stephen Amell (just so happens to be my BIGGEST movie star crush) so that also helped my visual of Eric. I love how Eric is a mystery and you don't see him as much as you would like to, but that is what makes his presence even more known and PRIMAL. I mean he just oozes sexy, body of stone, kick ass, bad boy who you just want to LICK!!! There were some scenes in the book that really made your panties wet, I am not lying, they were HOT, I was like holy moly that was a beautifully written scene.

I am thoroughly looking forward to more to come from Joan, her growth in her writing shines from the beginning to end of In The Stars. Great Book and I would gladly recommend this one to anyone!!! It was fun, sexy, hot, emotional (for me), and RAW!!!

Caroline's Saturday morning was not what she expected. She woke up to a banging on her door to find a girl her age upset and looking for her boyfriend's fling. And that is where we meet Tara, they end up going to coffee together and talking about why she was banging on her door. She was upset and her overprotective detective brother needed to see her. As he walks I to the coffee shop, Caroline is in awe. He is older and my god he is steaming hot! She feels a pull to him the a moth to a flame but he is cocky and sweet at the same time.
Later that day she goes to her hometown to see her friend Raleigh and take her to a Physical Therapy appointment. And when the physical therapist Kyle walks and they both drop their jaws. He is sexy and has a great sense of humor, as they were leaving he asks Caroline out for lunch the next day.
Now that Caroline has meet not one but two gorgeous men she doesn't know what to do. Eric is so sweet and they have a connection and then there is Eric and she can't keep him out of her dreams or keep her mind from wandering. There is just something about that man! She has to make a decision. Will she go for sweet and sexy Kyle or Eric, a man with attitude and sex appeal that no other?
I laughed so much doing this book. Caroline is so funny and I loved they way the group of friends talked to each other. I also enjoy when the supporting characters are involved throughout the book instead of just staying in the background. I also cried. It's hard to pick which man you want her to chose so I felt for her. It's not a typical love triangle. No cheating In case that would turn you off.

Quotes

I believe all the coffee as given me more than the jitters, because I have to be hallucinating now. I am pretty certain I am looking at Himeros, the Greek God of sexual desire walking in the door.

I finally feel the need to grab at one of her hands. "Do you always use your hands so much when you talk?" You are going to smack your face evidentially.

"You are so going to get it on with the physical therapist. I mean think about it the word physical is in his job title, and trust me he is good with his hands. Girl, I do believe he will be giving you several orgasms per session; it just depends on how long you plan on making him wait to gift you with them."

I loved this book. I could not find it in myself to put it down once I started. Caroline is going back to collage after a horrible wreck her and her best friend Raleigh were in. She is trying to start over without having Raleigh there when one morning she is woken up with banging on the door and a complete stranger screaming in her face. That is how we meet Tara. Unfortunately Tara's boyfriends sucks and cheated on her so she went to confront the women he cheated with, that just happened to be Caroline's slut of a roommate.

That is how Caroline meets Eric mister hottie cop that also happened to be Tara's very over protective brother. There first meeting is some what strange and Caroline cant understand why she feels such a pull towards him.

Caroline and Tara's friendship blooms from then on and they turn out to be quite good friends. I enjoyed Tara as a character and loved that she played such a big part in the story. Soon after meet Eric Caroline goes home for Raleighs first physical therapy appointment where she meets Kyle. He is super cute and such the perfect man, they start to date and gosh he seems like the perfect boyfriend but for some reason she cant keep the god of a man Eric out of her head.

Caroline and Eric seem to have crazy tension between them that neither one can act on.

This story sucks you in like a vortex and its like you never know which way it is going to go. The whole time I was torn in two between Eric and Kyle two very sexy very interested men. I didn't know who she was going to end up with or if she was going to end up with either of them. I was just along for the ride and my god did I enjoy it!!

Im not going to give anything to big away so just GO READ IT!! NOW! It is one you cant take the chance to miss it!! Im so excited to see what comes next!!

I first fell in love with the cover of In The Stars. I think it is breathtaking. ;-) Then I read the blurb and I just knew that I needed to read it.

I was mesmerized with this book. There is a love triangle but no cheating which is a huge plus in my opinion. I really dislike cheating.

The heroine was Caroline. She was feisty and real. I really, really liked her except, her indecisiveness irritated me a little. I understood to an extent because I liked both men but then again I just wanted her to choose.

At first, I thought that Eric was a donkey's behind, sexy, but an a** none the less. He redeemed himself as the book went on though. ;-) He exuded a bad boy vibe that seemed to excite her. He was also intense, sexy, and a total Alpha. I couldn't help but drool a few times.

The other man was Kyle and he was absolutely perfect. :-( He was sweet, extremely attentive and super sexy. Oooh and he was a musician too. I really liked him.

I won't tell you who wins her heart, you'll have to read it yourself and go through the same sensations that I did.

Her friends Raleigh and Tara also help to make the book as well. I especially loved the camaraderie and banter between them.

I laughed, swooned, melted into a panting puddle of goo a time or two, enjoyed the friendship that they shared, had a little frustration while waiting to see who she picked, some indecision myself at who I wanted her to pick, and just couldn't put it down.

I don't need to look to the stars to know that this book is a winner. If you like romance, steam, and don't mind some indecision as the heroine chooses between two great guys, you'll want to put this at the very top of your list.

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. It was sensational.

Caroline Reyes, is just trying to get through her sophomore year of college after having been in a car accident with her best friend Raleigh. Because Raleigh couldn't return to school after the accident, Caroline is forced to live with Piper. One morning a frantic girl, Tara, shows up at the door asking for Piper. Tara’s boyfriend was Piper’s latest conquest and Tara is pissed. When Caroline takes Tara to a coffee shop to calm down and talk, she meets Eric, Tara’s brother.

Eric is hot but cocky as hell. He knows how to get under Caroline’s skin in a way that leaves her hot and bothered. The passion between them is red-hot, but is it just lust that she feels for him?

It gets more complicated when, in helping Raleigh, she meet’s Kyle. Kyle is a hot therapist. He is the opposite of Eric, sweet and kind. He makes her feel wanted, happy, and important. Could she fall in love with him?

This book asks the age-old question love triangle question of which would you rather have, the good guy or the bad guy? The smoldering sex appeal will draw you in to this book, but the humor and the interactions between the characters will keep you wanting more!

3.5 stars..

In the Stars is the debut work from author Joan Duszynski and kicks off her In the Moments Series. It was a sweet and hot beginning with potential to sizzle more as the series continues.
College sophomore Caroline Reyes is woken up early one morning by a very angry “other woman” and has no way of knowing it at the time, but things are about to change in almost status quo life. Turns out the angry gal, Tara, is the girlfriend of the guy her roommate has been shagging. They soon form a friendship that will introduce Caroline to a deliciously hot police detective….Tara’s brother. But before Caroline can explore that attraction, she catches the attention of a hottie physical therapist while attending one of her best friend’s therapy sessions. Torn between the two, Caroline finds herself wondering which her heart will end up choosing.
I enjoyed this book and the rock and hard place Caroline is stuck between is a pretty yummy place to be. Both of her love interests have great qualities and she certainly has a tough choice. The was a delicious build up and slow burn throughout the whole book and it ended with the choice of guy I would have made for myself. There was plenty of steamy scenes and they were written really well *fans self*. Of course, my lips are sealed and I can’t reveal who it is! I look forward to see what the rest of the series holds for Caroline, Tara and the gang as In the Stars builds a pretty good foundation for the series ahead.
Thank you, Joan, for an enjoyable read!

In The Stars was a feel good book. It's the type of book that makes you happy. It’s a great love story with some twist along the way.

I loved the main character Caroline Reyes who is a no nonsense type of girl. She said and did exactly what she wanted to do. Her heart is torn between two men. I know that makes it sound like a love triangle but I promise it's not.

We have Kyle who we meet when she's helping a friend through physical therapy. They have a pretty hot and heavy connection. The attraction and passion is there so why does she feel lost. I feel hard for Kyle. He's such a sweet man. He's goes all in when he loves someone.

Then we have Eric who's the definition of bad boy. Caroline gets irritated easily with his bossy ways but can't get him out of her head. The chemistry is there but is it just lust or love. She's so confused. There's never once you feel hatred toward Caroline. Although her heart is torn between the two her morals are never in question. It was handled beautifully.

We get to follow Caroline's heart in this journey to its destiny. There's no shortage if hot passion in this book. You'll be drawn in and feel as though you’re watching your friend try to find herself. In the end I'm extremely satisfied with the outcome of where her heart ends up. At one point I wanted to play COPS AND ROBBERS.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the rest of this crew more there a great group of characters with good chemistry. Adam and Tara's story is next this should be fun. Adam shows up makes his place and will not be moved.

Caroline Reyes had a rough summer. After being in an car accident that left her best friend unable to go back to school due to her recovery. She has to start her second year of college with a new roomate from hell. One crazy morning involving mistakin idenity she comes face to face with a girl accusing her of fooling around with her boyfrinend. Caroline day just gets better when she meets Tara's over protective older brother Eric. Caroline automatically goes into a lust filled daze at the first sight of Eric.

The following week when Caroline is visiting her best friend Raliegh. Caroline is once again in a lust filled daze when she meets Kyle. Caroline chalks it up to hormones. Caroline soon starts to date Kyle but she can't seem to shake the pull that she has to Eric.

How can one girl choose two hot men. I would not want to be in Caroline's shoes or do I lol. Just when you think this story is going to go one way it turns you the other way. There are great moments where I caught myself laughing out loud with her interactions with Tara and Raleigh. I also had moments when I was like WTF were you thinking, but it all balances out to give the story a well rounded plot with no loose ends. There are points where I instantly connected with Caroline and felt her pain and indecision as to what and who she should choose. I throughly enjoyed reading this and am courious to see if Tara and Adam will get their own book.

This is a definite must read.
Caroline is your average college sophomore trying to get through school without her best friend Raleigh. Caroline and Raleigh were the best of friends who were in a horrible accident that didn't allow Raleigh to return to school and has since left Caroline with the skanky Witch of a roommate Piper.

It's hilarious (not for Tara) how Caroline and Tara meet. I can only imagine the drama's involved with college/dorm life and it seems to slap Caroline in the face on very early Saturday morning when she opens her door to a very irate Tara.

Caroline seems to have all of her good luck in one day when it comes to meeting hot, attractive men that seem to think the same of her. It's not fair for someone so young to have to make these decisions and pick just one guy. She's drawn to Eric by some magnetic pull but also, has feelings for Kyle. Unfortunately, she has to pick one...

Tara is the sweet high school girlfriend of a douche bag who gets to college and decides to branch out and try new things... and by new things I mean other girls. She is also the very protected little sister of a hot detective brother Eric.

Eric seems to do nothing but piss Caroline off every chance meeting. He says the most inappropriate things but at the same time they are kinda sweet.
Kyle is the all around good guy who knows all the right things to say and do.

Who will Caroline pick????

Caroline is trying to get through her second year of college alone after her best friend can't make it back to school after an accident over the summer. Sharing a dorm with the room mate from hell finally has a perk when a girl comes pounding on her door early one morning thinking she's the one her boyfriend cheated on her with. After identies are sorted out the become friends and when she meets Tara's brother Eric a lust bomb explodes. Even though he's arogant Caroline can't stop thinking about him, but when she meets sweet and sexy Kyle she tries to get him out of her mind. As she begins seeing Kyle her few meetings with Eric leave her confused, but not as much as her dreams. Even though she barely knows him she can't seem to ignore the pull she has with Eric, but Kyle is the perfect guy. As she tries to sort out her heart who will she choose?

I loved the way this story played out where athough it looks like a triangle  from reading the synopsis it is really tastefully done and you don't end up hating the main character for screwing over two guys. Caroline knows she has feeling pulling her in different directions, but the story doesn't disrespect either guy by making her into a bad guy.

Great read can't wait to see which other characters get their stories told next.

I really loved this book. This is the ultimate book about making a major love decision. Caroline meets two different men in the same day. Eric, the snarky detective who pisses her off and Kyle, the sweet Physical Therapist who immediately asks her out. Caroline spends time with Kyle and is drawn to him, but Eric keeps appearing in her dreams. She feels torn and knows a decision is coming and someone is going to get hurt. Maybe more than just one person.
The secondary characters are supportive and funny and I enjoyed their interaction a lot. This story is well written and even though it's sort of a love triangle, it's a unique story. It's not your typical love triangle. I found myself going back and forth with who I wanted Caroline to choose. That's very unlike me! I laughed and I cried. And then I cried more. I am looking forward to book two, In the Now.

There has yet to be one normal encounter between the two of us. So, how is it I still feel this pull to want more from him; with him? I can't keep blaming it on lust alone, there is something more there.

"I've had dreams about you too and even though they were really good, they don't compare at all to the real thing. You just gave me more than I even knew possible"

What a brilliant story this was. I can't believe this is the authors debut novel. I also can't believe I waited this long to read it.
Caroline moves away to start college. Her best friend can't go as she's recovering from an accident they were both in. This story kicks off straight away which I loved. The storyline was brilliant. This is not an angsty book. It's a well-written and fast flowing story that I was pretty much glued to.

There are quite a few lovely characters in this story. I'm not going to tell you any more from what's in description. All I'm going to say is if your looking for an easy read with a few oh so hot males then I do recommend this book.

I'm hoping I don't have to wait too long for the next book. There is three in this series and thankfully no cliff-hanger.

Wow Joan this book was amazing. When I heard about this book is was excited. And let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. I love Caroline, she was a very strong character. She had me laughing and crying at the same time. She was torn between Kyle and Eric. Oh they are both sexy in different ways. They can easily be my new book boyfriends. Tara was a sweetheart and a great friend. Loved her character as well. And Raleigh. This was a great book the storyline flowed really well. I couldn't put the book down. I really hope there is a book two, because I want to read more of Caroline story. Thanks Joan for writing a great book. I would highly recommend this book. <3

It is an amazing gift to be able to take words and create emotions within another like Joan has done in this story. The main characters Caroline and Eric had me twisting in my seat from the pure the outstanding chemistry between the two of them. At times I wanted shake them both. Other times I threw my hands up in the air, then I was on the edge of my seat cheering them on. Joan has crafted tragedy, love, betrayal, fear, turmoil from page 1 to the end...which I can not wait to read the next book! Thank you for taking me to the edge and back again!!
