This novel is very well and naturally written. Hamilton is a very visual author who shows you each and every aspect of this novel, rather than simply telling you about it. She creates a story that is exhilarating and exciting without being over the top. Even with the ending, that has me simultaneously dumbfounded and dying for the sequel, Hamilton kept me on my toes without ever throwing anything at you that didn’t make sense. Everything within the storyline is well laid out to reach a specific end, even if we figure out what that is right alongside the brilliant characters.
Hamilton has developed an amazing Alpha male lead for this novel that he contrasts with a female counterpart that is perfect for him. I love how she shows his ‘alphaness’ without making her seem weak or subservient. They are both very well developed as individuals. It’s quite unique to see them grow together as a couple and separately via the roles that they’ve been thrust into. Not only are the main characters well developed and approachable, but the supporting cast is brilliant as well. Some of them are completely off the hook and are individuals that you’d love to get to know.
Overall? I’m dying to go to Australia now. I enjoyed the first novel of this series, I loved this one, and I definitely can’t wait for the third. I’d fully recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a romantic suspense.

Arggggh!!!! I am screaming right now!! I loved this book, read it in about 8 hours and oh my GOD! Are you serious with the cliffhanger TJ? You are killing me. Hope I don't have to wait too long for the last book? I'm sure you're saving the best for last!

Holy cow. That was soooo good but left me crying myself to sleep!! I had read other reviews that made it sound like this book in the series was just filler and I would definitely disagree. I loved the whole book. I hate to wish the days away but 2014 can't come fast enough for Keeping Thyme!!

After finishing Buying Thyme by TJ Hamilton, I knew I was going to like her storytelling. Her writing is solid. I was eager to read Making Thyme.
TJ merges the high-class escort world with being a special agent very well.
Mia has agreed to be trained by the OCT-U, Organized Crime Taskforce Unit under Agent Nick Davis. Her mentor. The man she is having feelings for.
Crime boss Joe Tench is under surveillance and Mia aka Miranda is the Agency’s way in, to get the information they need to put him away for good.
I really enjoyed Mia’s training and discovering along with Mia what she is capable of. TJ spends time getting us to go through the training motions with Mia, convincing us of her capability.
TJ is an ex police officer herself so she brings her knowledge to the pages. We watch Miranda the ex high-class escort become more.
Much more.
We almost forget her past.
Miranda is left behind and Mia shows us she won’t be bound by the Agency’s rules. She is proving to them how able she is to look after herself. She can only really trust herself. It’s what works best for her.
She won’t be caged and watched.
Nick wants Mia.
“You don’t have to be Miranda with me.” He slowly pulls me back up to his lips.
“I’m going to make love to you Mia... I’m going to show you how people love each other. It’s going to be slow and it’s going to be all night... I’ve wanted to do this to you for a long time. No fast fuck. Just you and me... how it’s supposed to be.” Nick utters every word I’ve only ever imagined anyone ever saying to me.
But he is also Agent Davis.
Nick shows us what he is made of and how far he is willing to go to get to Tench.
To bring him down.
There are some fave scenes of mine in Making Thyme. Visually they were well written. I loved the use of the Opera House it brought quite a magical moment to a fave scene of mine.
TJ writes about Australia and it’s landmarks but she doesn’t give us the vegemite slathered slang.
This I enjoyed.
Charlie is a great character, he lights up the page when he is on it. I would go on a date with Charlie. He knows how to take a girl out for the evening.
Good guy.
Joe Tench is the bad guy and I have to keep reminding myself what depths he will go to.
TJ also showed me that vulnerable side to Joe.
Joe is hurting.
But, Joe also knows how to seek his own justice out and you don’t want to be on the end of bad Joe because bad Joe is a brutal killer.
Tench brings out the darker side in Agent Thyme. She can’t help herself. She is Mia the agent going in and it doesn’t take long for Miranda to appear.
Can Agent Thyme be let loose in Joe Tench’s world again without Miranda taking over?
Will her dark desires take over?
Fuck you Joe Tench! I hate you...and now you’re acting all amazing on me! I slam my head back against the sun lounge with more sexual frustration than I care to have right now.
Is she strong enough to fight her darker side and get the job done?

In Buying Thyme we meet Miranda. In Making Thyme we meet Mia. Who will be the more dominant character in Keeping Thyme?
After finishing Making Thyme I am literally tearing my hair out for Keeping Thyme. Anybody who has read Making Thyme will understand what I am talking about.

This is the second part of the trilogy in which we have met the former prostitute/call her Miranda. During the first novel we watched her bounce back and forth and fall in love with both the sweet and sensible Tom Smythe and the bad boy Joe Trench. It was truly a heart wrenching experience to watch the poor girl battle over loving the both.
Alas, Joe the bad boy crime boss commits an unspeakable crime and Tom is really an undercover agent assigned to bring him in. Miranda and Tom whose real name is Nick Davis are assigned to work together in the Australian version of the FBI.
Let me start by saying that this book was very well written. The attention to detail was astounding and the description of training exercises that were done by Miranda were very explicit. The knowledge and story line of her joining forces to bring down the crime lord was a great story line. It was good to see the bad girl do good.
However, the part I liked about the first book was the SEX!, I felt for a romance story that this one was seriously lacking in that department. It read more like a crime novel. A good crime novel for sure, but I felt the romance was missing. Sure they profess to love one another and it was great to see her grow as a person and get out of the prostitution scene but I was missing the kinky/hot sex that she shared with Joe. I was missing Joe. I kind of liked his bad boy character.
Now that I have that off my chest, let me continue. It was a great story. The suspense was definitely well done and it kept my interest throughout the novel. The secondary characters were quite interesting and some of the Agency's tough guys really made me smile. I loved the great relationship that she had with her gay friend Charlie and her brother Simon. Overall this was a great story, now that I have read parts one and two I will definitely need to finish the trilogy. The only thing missing was more funky sex and more JOE.

When I finished Buying Thyme, I was pleased with the ending even though it was a bit of a cliff hanger. The reason I was pleased was because it had a happy ending, after a LOT of bite-your-nails drama, but I knew I had so much more to look forward to. Nick, formerly known as Tom, was the Prince Charming everyone red-blooded woman would want in her life. This was the romance I was looking forward to reading!
But then, shit got serious! I’m not talking about a bit of angst or detours; I’m talking the really serious stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the unfolding romance between Mia and Nick, but this little voice in the back of my mind was also saying, “This is too easy. Something is going to happen.” And damn! That little voice was right.
As Mia prepares for her assignment which involves taking down Tench, there are a few bumps during the journey. Well, maybe pot holes is a better description, but nothing, NOTHING, prepared me for what happened at the end!!! I may or may not have used a bit of colourful language at this stage and I may or may not have sent a message to the author telling her that I hated her.
But the one thing, I am sure about it that as soon as that last book in the trilogy comes out I am dropping everything so I can find out what the hell happens next. This one definitely finishes in a cliff hanger. In the meantime, I have a novella to look forward to which will hopefully keep me appeased until that time. By the way, I think the titles of these books are so clever, but you have to read them to find out why.

This book was a continuation from Buying Thyme. This book picks up with Miranda (Mia) knowing that Nick Davis is a special agent for OCT-U and will be her mentor to take down Joe Tench. Mia trains to become an agent and is rather good at it. Mia has this quality of perseverance and determination that gets her motivated. I really like the character of Mia and Nick in this book. We see the relationship between Nick and Mia bloom. You can really see that they like each other, respect each other, and care for each other. The book did towards the end go with Mia going back to Joe Tench’s house undercover after being gone for so long. Mia is determined to find out why her friend was murdered. Nick, is an exceptional agent and is really HOT sounding. I really liked how the author built the characters up and the relationships through-out this book. Yes of course there was some make-out scenes and sex scenes which were intense and lovely in my eyes. I did find that the book had a huge twist that broke my heart and actually left me so angry over it. I had to look past this tragedy and look at everything else. I know the author had to have something drastic happen to keep the story going but I didn’t expect what happened. I also didn’t expect Mia to crumble like she did either. In the end everything worked out great and I can’t wait to see Mia fight back for the people she loved in Keeping Thyme.

Well Damn, TJ Hamilton has done it again. This Author is a fantastic writer! I read Making Thyme straight after reading Buying Thyme because they were just that good. i just had to know what was going to happen. Once again I was transported into a well woven story with the twists I had grown to love with the first book! I can never be sure exactly what is going to happen next. Then there is the ending - I am not sure what i would have said or done to the Author had she been in front of me when I read that last page. Hello cliffhanger!! I loved her and hated her in that moment! My honest recommendation is to wait for the third book to be released before reading - otherwise that ending is going to drive you nuts!! But definitely read them!!!!

I do not have any idea where Ms Hamilton is going with this series but I am enjoying the ride. I love a strong female character and the lead in this series is enchanting in her strength and convictions. It is quite refreshing after so many books lately that have wishy-washy females who just follow along without much thought.
I have been making it a habit to not read a series until all the books are out. I broke that for this series and am mad at myself for it. I am vested and really want to know what is going to happen. There is a WTF, are you kidding me? moment toward the end that I am praying is not true and that Mia is being played and she will figure it out in book 3.

In book 2 we finally find out Miranda's real name! She is moving on from her Escort days, or so we think. I don't want spoil so I will just say the story was captivating. The sex scenes were hot but it was the story that kept me reading. I was again up until the early hours finishing this book. There was no way I was going to bed until I started book 3. The ending to book 2 is brutal so be prepared. Please do yourself a favour and read this series.

In Buying Thyme we meet Miranda. In Making Thyme we meet Mia. Who will be the more dominant character in Keeping Thyme?
After finishing Making Thyme I am literally tearing my hair out for Keeping Thyme. Anybody who has read Making Thyme will understand what I am talking about.

After finishing Buying Thyme by TJ Hamilton, I knew I was going to like her storytelling. Her writing is solid. I was eager to read Making Thyme.
TJ merges the high-class escort world with being a special agent very well.
Mia has agreed to be trained by the OCT-U, Organized Crime Taskforce Unit under Agent Nick Davis. Her mentor. The man she is having feelings for.
Crime boss Joe Tench is under surveillance and Mia aka Miranda is the Agency’s way in, to get the information they need to put him away for good.
I really enjoyed Mia’s training and discovering along with Mia what she is capable of. TJ spends time getting us to go through the training motions with Mia, convincing us of her capability.
TJ is an ex police officer herself so she brings her knowledge to the pages. We watch Miranda the ex high-class escort become more.
Much more.
We almost forget her past.
Miranda is left behind and Mia shows us she won’t be bound by the Agency’s rules. She is proving to them how able she is to look after herself. She can only really trust herself. It’s what works best for her.
She won’t be caged and watched.
Nick wants Mia.
“You don’t have to be Miranda with me.” He slowly pulls me back up to his lips.
“I’m going to make love to you Mia... I’m going to show you how people love each other. It’s going to be slow and it’s going to be all night... I’ve wanted to do this to you for a long time. No fast fuck. Just you and me... how it’s supposed to be.” Nick utters every word I’ve only ever imagined anyone ever saying to me.
But he is also Agent Davis.
Nick shows us what he is made of and how far he is willing to go to get to Tench.
To bring him down.
There are some fave scenes of mine in Making Thyme. Visually they were well written. I loved the use of the Opera House it brought quite a magical moment to a fave scene of mine.
TJ writes about Australia and it’s landmarks but she doesn’t give us the vegemite slathered slang.
This I enjoyed.
Charlie is a great character, he lights up the page when he is on it. I would go on a date with Charlie. He knows how to take a girl out for the evening.
Good guy.
Joe Tench is the bad guy and I have to keep reminding myself what depths he will go to.
TJ also showed me that vulnerable side to Joe.
Joe is hurting.
But, Joe also knows how to seek his own justice out and you don’t want to be on the end of bad Joe because bad Joe is a brutal killer.
Tench brings out the darker side in Agent Thyme. She can’t help herself. She is Mia the agent going in and it doesn’t take long for Miranda to appear.
Can Agent Thyme be let loose in Joe Tench’s world again without Miranda taking over?
Will her dark desires take over?
Fuck you Joe Tench! I hate you...and now you’re acting all amazing on me! I slam my head back against the sun lounge with more sexual frustration than I care to have right now.
Is she strong enough to fight her darker side and get the job done?

4 TRANSFORMING STAR THOUGHTS
I am sure just like everyone else, I was dying for the Making Thyme from the moment I finished Buying Thyme! And T.J. Hamilton does not disappoint! Now I am just as anxious for book 3! I was on the edge of my seat at the end of this one! We get to see a whole new side to Mia as she learns who she is without pretending to be "Miranda"!
"I'm no longer a whore, nor is he Tom Smythe. This should be easier to be together right? No longer any secrets between us… the real us."
*spoiler from Book 1* So when Buying Thyme ended Mia had run away because she was scared of Joe Tench. Only she was found by Nick Davis and was asked to help them take Tench down. Now that she has agreed she must move back to begin her training with the Organised Crime Taskforce Unit.
Making Thyme starts with Mia Thyme back in Sydney waiting to begin training. She feels lost being in a new apartment… alone! Agent Nick Davis, previously known as Tom Smythe, is Mia's mentor. But they are trying to hide their desires for each other. The Agency is watching Mia's every move because there is so much she needs to learn in a short amount of time. She also needs to be careful and stay protected so Joe Tench doesn't realize she is back in town. As she begins her training that is not only mentally exhausting but physically as well, her relationship with Nick begins to make her wish she had never been "Miranda" the working girl. But Nick's love for her consumes her and makes her hope he still wants her when things are over and Joe Tench is caught.
"Mia, I'm going to protect you forever. I know it's hard for you to get your head around having to going back to being Miranda again, but I l know you can do it. I'm going to be here when it's all over. Then we can start living our life together. Where are we going to go by the way?"
Mia and Nick are HOT for each other! And although Mia has no idea what love feels like she knows that is what she feels for Nick. He is the most understanding man and accepts every side of Mia. Nick loves her and has complete faith in her ability to help take down Tench. (I love Nick Davis! He is yummy and so sweet!) She just needs to learn to believe in herself because she is INCREDIBLY smart! Mia wants to know what happened to Sally but she can't underestimate how obsessed Tench is with her.
"Going back to Tench isn't my biggest worry any more. Leaving Nick is the hardest thing I'll ever have to do."
What happens when she runs into Tench again? Will Nick always be waiting for her? Can she be with Tench and not feel like she's betraying Nick… or will that even be an issue? Will Tench find out who she really is? I loved this book I just needed more! I felt like some parts were drawn out but overall it only made me more anxious for the next book! There were parts that were kind of unbelievable for me but didn't really take away from the story line. The end knocked my socks off and left me an emotional mess that only Book 3 can fix!!! If you loved Buying Thyme you will love this book and just be begging for more!

When I finished Buying Thyme, the other day I was Soooooo glad I had book 2 ( although book 1 is a HEA and not too bad of a cliff hanger - this book left me sobbing!
I had to email the author ( she supplies this at the end of the book! So I bet she's had LOTS of them)
At the beginning of this book, Miranda is on the run from Joe Tench, the very hot sexy, but deadly ex client who was obsessed with Miranda, enough that he gave her a mega diamond necklace! Then she is found by another of her clients, but things were not as they seemed and in the end life looks as if there is a silver lining for Miranda ( or Mia which is her real name)
Unfortunately before that glimpse of a HEA happens she needs to delve back into her old life to solve her friend Murder, but first she needs to get some serious skills to help her in this assignment, she has a hard road ahead of her
There's the budding romance that she has with her Agent Handler/ mentor Nick and I was enjoying getting engrossed with the storyline.
Now there were some bits that surprised me ( the technology the OCT-U had me a bit like... Oh hang on mind control guns??? Embedded chips??? Am I in the twilight zone - but then I thought who the Fk knows what extraordinary advancements these secret agency's have at their disposal, I mean I've seen a doco on a bullet they goes around corners! So I just took it at face value and got on with the story).
Mia gets thrust back into Tench's radar and she has to use her wits and newly found skills to cope... And there I will leave it - other than say I emailed Ms Hamilton to voice my emotional state!
But I do know that I am impatiently awaiting book 3... And also look forward to reading the companion Novella.

Not as good as the first book.
Mia Thyme after witnessing Joe Tench kill a client right in front of her ran and disappeared at the end of the last book. This one takes off months after that. The Agency wants Mia to train to be an Agent and her her special skills to get close to Tench to gather intel to take him down.
During all this training is alot of waiting and watching. Mia and Nick get close fall in love...blah blah blah. Then surprise run in with Tench lands Mia/Miranda into a wild emotion ride of lust/hate/revenge/confusion/anger/sadness and more.
An unforseen accident ends the book and Mia rises to the challenge.
My take: obviously I wasn't that impressed with this book comapred to the previous one. I love the fact Miranda/Mia was a working girl in the first book; it was a different and wonderful read for me. However this book went on and on and on about how Smart Mia was on the tests and skills. "She's a natural." yada yada. It states this so much I got sick of hearing it. So it surprised me when Nick had to tell her he was drugging her in the previous book. *shakes my head* I already drew that conclusion from the first time that happened. But thats not it other things happen that if she was supposidly as smart as they kept claiming she should have figured out herself.
Ok done ranting. I liked the first book so much I purchased the second only to be disappointed. Yea the Nick and Mia "romance" was okay but I just got sick of reading about them and their emotinal roller coaster of a relationship. I will read the next book just to hope Mia/Miranda transfroms into a kick*ss character in her quest for justice and revenge.
Warning: un-protected sex-no condoms in sight at any time.

I had Buying Thyme on my Kindle for a while and it sat there calling my name. So when I saw that there was a blog tour for the third book in the series I opened my Kindle and started reading. This trilogy is awesome! I mean, how can you not love a reformed hooker, a mobster and secret agency?
Mia is on a mission to take down Joe Tench. There were times I felt bad for Joe. You kind of actually get to like him a bit, then he goes and does something bad and you hate him again.
Mia is put to the ultimate test as she gets more involved with the agency and everyone there is more than they appear.
This book has everything, suspense, mystery and erotic scenes that will make you sweat. I honestly did not know what to expect when I started this trilogy but I have to admit, I LOVE it! The characters are well developed, the story is well developed and this conclusion ends the story perfectly. I absolutely fell in love with her brother, he needs his own story(hint,hint).
I felt for Mia quite a few times in the story, she has lost so much but when her back is against the wall, she steps up and performs like she was made for the job. I finished the book in less than I day because I had to know what happened. It will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last word. It is fast paced without skimping on details so you don't realize how fast you read until you put your Kindle down. I’m going to start this review out by letting you know that I cried some ugly tears with this one. I mean seriously puffy eyes and runny nose ugly tears. And Ms Hamilton’s response when I emailed her about it……
Me: OH MY FLIPPING GOD!!!! I just finished it and I’m crying damn ugly tears thanks to you!
T.J.: Sorry! He he he… But I’m not satisfied that my job is done until I have tears!
See no compassion !!! LOL. But really this book will pull on every single one of your emotions. I cried. I got pi$$ed. I laughed my butt off.
This is the second book of the Thyme Trilogy. Although the first book Buying Thyme took a while to get into I was captured from the first moment in this one. The majority of this book is about Mia and her training now that she is part of the secret government organization responsible for controlling organized crime. However now that Nick is her superior and the one responsible for breaking her in at the agency they are spending a lot more time together and that makes for some really sexy time ! I really loved this book and can’t wait for the last book in the trilogy to release. If you have read Buying Thyme then you will definitely want to read this one, and if you haven’t then go get started !!

The story and romance develop as Mia undertakes training to join the Agency (government crime fighting agency)in preparation for placing her with her former client, Joe Tench, to bring him to justice for his crimes. Her training is brutal.
Mia's relationship with Nick Davis, a fellow agent develops and while he is the romantic hero of the piece, I didn't like him. I never thought he put Mia first, bringing down Tench always seemed to come first and this bothered me.
This is a well paced story with a number of steamy scenes but after the first sex scene I wanted to skip them and get to the story, which I was enjoying.
The ending of Making Thyme will leave you wanting to move straight on to the final instalment (which I did). This is a good series and one I'd recommend.

I read this book directly after part 1 Buying Thyme. Just like part 1 I also liked this book and am looking forward to reading part 3 Keeping Thyme.
The characters are still great however I missed Charlie. Hopefully more of him in part 3.
Mia/Miranda : I like her even more then in part 1. She is very determined to succeed. I enjoyed her training for the OCT-U.
Nick : I just hated the ending of part 2 and have already started part 3 … Please don’t let it be true! I also didn’t like that he put the job first instead of Mia!

Another great episode in the life of Thyme. I was captured by the plot, loved the heat between the main characters and the buzz of the story. I remained frustrated by the incorrect word usage and typos, but could not stop reading. Thank goodness I had the final book in the trilogy to read as soon as I finished. If you like James Bond films you will enjoy this spy thriller with some serious spice thrown in!

Oh Wow T J Hamilton does it again book 2 in the Thyme series sees Miranda aka Mia leave her profession behind to go in search of who killed her friend is it Joe Trench one of her clients HMMM.
Nick is there to help her when she joins the agency what will she find can she keep it together to get to the truth. Again another page turner this series is hot sexy wicked mysteries and erotic i so love it could'nt put it down again i thank you T J Hamilton.

I had some problems with Book 1 - Buying Thyme, but I was willing to give further books a go.
I have not been disappointed. This is a great read, again not your mums type of romance book, but well worth reading.
What a cliff hanger. Didn't see that coming and I'll not say what it is as it will spoil it for you.

I liked the twist that this story took after the first book but there was a point when it became too incredulous. And unfortunately, once again it needed a better editor, one who would catch redundant statements and misspelled words or phrases such as "baron" instead of "barren" and "load" instead of "loud", there were a lot.
