“Sticky Sweet....and I don't mean like candy. Sticky from sweat. Sticky from spit. Sticky from...other things. Sweet from caring and real emotion. Bet you never thought you'd hear that! This book is short and direct but still full of warmth and fun…..There's a wealth of feeling behind the images; it's not just a single-note, one-handed read. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for the price, as well. This is worlds away from the other stuff and you'll be glad you bought it. I promise.” Maryam Jones

Warning: This is an erotic romance, with a side of sarcasm. Contained herein are graphic descriptions of sex, bondage, discipline, dominance, and submission. Mentioned are fetishes with which you may be unfamiliar, including Mommy-son play, and forniphilia. You’ll find dirty talk, crude language, and lapses into the poetical. Catty thoughts included at no extra charge. There is also brief mention of mental illness and medication for same. Oh, and love. Love showed up, too, unexpectedly! For mature audiences, but not too mature.

Working as a Dominant at The Basement, I could tell you some stories! None of them are as twisted as the one I’m going to share with you. You see, Miss Madeline’s got a secret.
It would surprise my clients, those who pay me to dominate them. It would surprise Ian, my sleazy boss, who loves to cheat me out of my pay and handle the help, if I let him get away with it. It would surprise my assistant, Trey, who desperately wants and needs my protection. It would surprise Murray, the scummy promoter who profits from my creative efforts in my fetish shows.
The only one not surprised? The one who holds the secret, my lover, artist Jason Merrin. He knows I don’t always need to be the boss, that when I come home, sometimes it’s the last thing I want. He can step up and keep me in line whenever I need it.
But when Ian threatens Trey with termination, I have to make a decision. I can’t stand by and let Trey submit to this sexual harassment. Can I offer Trey my protection? And what will Jason have to say about it? Find out in Switch It On!

First I will say that I am not a big fan of short stories, nor of books written in the first person, and since this story is both it may seem odd that I chose to read it. The reason I did so is that it was offered on the BDSM Group read to review thread and out of curiosity I read the excerpt on Amazon and was intrigued. I like the author's writing style. She is clearly accomplished and talented and she uses a nice turn of phrase, in keeping with the setting and characters of the story. I found the protagonists both interesting and believable, though, as you might expect in a story of forty or so pages, the reader is left to speculate about much of their back story. What I was very pleased to discover was that there was sufficient depth to the characters for me to become interested and invested in them, in other words, to care about what happened to them. In fact, nothing very much did, but it was both intriguing and interesting finding that out, and I felt all the way through that the central character was on the brink of making a big change in her life. Unfortunately, if she did, it was after the end of the story, but I will admit I was left pondering about which direction she would choose and how it would affect her, and all credit to the author's skilful presentation, in relatively few words, of plot and character for that. (I wondered too if this was going to be one of those irritating episodic novels that have been appearing all too frequently on E-book sites recently, though there is no indication of that in the book.)
Ultimately, I felt a little let down by the failure to wholly resolve the opening external conflicts, though there were suggestions at the end that they would be resolved. There were really little more than hints at the central characters internal conflicts in the course of the story, but it was made clear that they were there and I found them intriguing. Reading the story was like reading the first two chapters of a novel - a good novel, I should say - and definitely left me wanting to read the rest. My thanks to the author for providing me with an enjoyable read and some interesting speculations after I had finished it.

This is a very short story. There is a bit of a plot but it felt a little incomplete or pushed. The scenes are almost sweet for this type of BDSM book but very good. The forniphilia scene was very interesting and worth reading the book for definitely done very well.

Madeline is a good hearted Domme who has found her match in Jason. Jason allows Madeline to unwind after work and step out of Character.

Ian (pimp) had short changed Madeline’s pay envelope a $1,000 (60%).
Ian d been having sex with Trey (basement Buddy).

The basement was well equipped with BDSM toys.
Madeline had several fetish costumes she wore for that kinky stuff.
Jason Jase (man-whore) Madeline (aka Mommy, Princess, Reggie) had quite a time in the basement.
There were nightly shows with lots of actors/participants.

Warning: This book is for adults only & contains extreme violence, adult content or language &/or sexually explicit scenarios. It may be offensive to some readers.

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A fairly well written BDSM book. It wasn’t always very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish, but never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great BDSM movie, or a paid-per-view mini TV series. BDSM is no my thing. Had nothing to do with my rating. It just didn’t have enough hot raw adulterated erotic sex in the story content for me. Mommy/son, daddy/daughter, coach/cheerleader, grandpa/schoolgirl, etc. are very common fetish if you want to call it or pervasion. I’ve worked with plenty of those clients. That said I will have to rate this at 3/5 stars.

Wow, what a spicey little quick read! This book was short, sweet, and to the point and I loved it. I normally shy away from shorts reads because I am more of a full-length novel kind of girl. When the author contacted me to possibly review this book, I had to do it. I am so glad I did!

This is my first J.H. Craig book and it will not be my last. The book was well written and seriously steamy. I am not a hard-core BDSM lover, and luckily this one had a story line with it. It was like soft BDSM. :)

If you like this kind of thing, give it a try. Be sure to keep an open mind, as you will need it! Great read!!

This book is a short bdsm story. Mad works in what called the Basement where you come to have your desires taken care of by Mad or other doms. The story was good but not enough back story on why she is the way she is. When she goes home to her boyfriend things change. I feel that she is a little insecure. This is a nice short read but I was looking for more. Maybe the second book will enlighten me more.

Switch it on by J.H Craig is a delightful romp in the BDSM world. I haven't partaken of a Dom session though I have met a few Doms, both male and female, and a Dom/sub. The sex is lively and well-presented and the description of their abode in an open space may easily be imagined. All in all, well-written.

This book was recommended by a friend who knows the author. I was shocked to read one of the most real bdsm stories I have ever read. The tenderness and commitment of a real relationship was shown. This is how it should be when it is done right!

Short, but it definitely got me interested in reading more about Mad, Jase, Trey and Joe.

I am back and forth over this short story. The writing isn't bad and I would've liked it more if it could've rather been a full novel, but to be completely honest;
~ I think it is wrong when authors make the first book a short, almost tease - those are worse than cliff-hangers - while the second book is a full length.
~ The main character annoyed me, why, I can't quite say, but this was the first time I've read a first person perspective and wished it wasn't.
~ For me personally, the amount of detail was unnecessary for how short this was, even if a build-up to the second book.

It is worth the read, as it kept reminding me of 'Folly' and 'Switch' by Jassy Mackenzie, so I would recommend it, but it all depends on whether the second book delivers.
