Loved it! There's not been one Sienna Mynx book that I've come across and didn't love. All the drama and betrayal made me want to do my evil cackle! My heart was thumping the whole ride. At about 50%, I felt like I needed a breather. I thought to myself, I may develop a heart condition by the end. I felt like I was in Hollow Creek watching the show from the sidelines.
This story showed how desperation makes people do horrible things-things completely out of character for them. Pete, who I liked in the previous two books, turned into a jerk at times and I was surprised at his behavior. His need to beat Aiden at his own game turned him into a selfish ass. He became the one man he loathed above all others. Aiden learns restraint, patience and humility but he's no pushover. He always had a plan B. Daisy learns to accept Aiden and she realized that trying to change him could destroy their marriage. She finally discovers she is worthy of love and finally stops trying to please everyone, especially her family who do nothing but put her down for her choices in life. Together, Aiden and Daisy are a solid unit, but apart, they are broken. I loved Amy, she was the most adorable kid ever. She was the only person who didn't judge and had nothing but love in her heart for everyone.
I did feel that the flashbacks were filler and slowed the story down and the book would have been just as exciting without them. Other than that minor issue, this was another great read by Ms. Mynx
