Calvin Willeford and his best friend, Kathy, must have nerves of steel as they explore the spooky old Diefenbacher house. They find green blood and hear scratchy noises on the floor, but they don't see anything. Calvin and Kathy are sure they have come across more bumbling alien tourists whose equipment has malfunctioned.

Then they meet Dandelion, who seems to be an ordinary yellow cat. Actually she's a friendly alien--an interstellar seret agent--and she's in East Gradwohl to stop her enemies from interfering with Earth. But when Calvin's mother is kidnapped by the evil aliens, all of Dandelion's superior powers suddenly malfunction. How can Calvin and Kathy rescue his mother from these horrible creatures?

Cute follow up to "Black Suits From Outer Space". This time the "head" alien is a fluffy cat-look-alike named Dandelion. Calvin and Kathy help her to capture an alien criminal. Fun and games, plus Calvin's little brother, his great-uncle Hal and in this adventure even Mom gets involved.

Another gem from The Nine-Year-Old’s school library, The Dandelion Caper tells the story of Walter and his friend Kathy. Walter and Kathy specialize in rescuing tourists from outer space, but they are unprepared for the trouble they encounter when a set of evil aliens take over an abandoned house in their neighborhood.

Why The Nine-Year-Old thinks you’ll like it:
“I liked the T. Rex aliens and all their machines that didn’t work. I also liked the cat alien who was trying to catch the T. Rex aliens because they were being evil. And the invisibility gadget looked disgusting, but was hilarious.”
