Taylor Bradford is a broken man. Tired of running, he just wants it over. That is until he catches Danielle's eye on the plane. A moment of instant connection awakens feelings he thought long dead. I’ve worked as a teacher and publisher and now write in a variety of romance genres, but always with the same tight focus on the characters and their emotional journey. I’m a great believer in love at first sight, addicted to buying pianos and on dark and stormy nights you’ll find me in some old castle or mansion chasing ghosts as part of a paranormal investigation team.
I also write as C A Nicks/Candy Nicks.

Setting Him Free By Alexandra Marell
Danielle Radley works as Quality Control Manager for Exotic Resorts, Inc. Definitely a dream job in every way but one, flying. She has to fly to the different resorts, and she really hates being in planes. And then her nightmare came true, a crash.

Taylor Bradford had given up on life. He had allowed the law to catch up to him, tired of running. And then he met her. One day with Danielle changed his life forever, however long that life would be. He couldn’t bring her into his world and yet didn’t know if he could live without her.

Can two people from very different walks of life find happiness? Danielle finds she can be more than just a party girl and Taylor sees that maybe he does have a spark of life left in him after all. I really enjoyed this story. It’s fairly short, around 30,000 words, so a fairly quick read but definitely not lacking in details. The characters come to life along with their emotions.

Expected more, I couldn't see giving this more than two stars. This is a story sraight out of a fantasy setting. Highly unlikely circumstances but does end with a HEA ending for now.
So a plane crashes only two survive. One is a female who travels the world for her job and the other is a specialized foreign hitman. Go figure they have sex and fall in love in the small time between the plane crash, surviving and being rescued. Sorry to spoil this obvious plot.
Oh we do have like a 2 month gap from the plane crash until the end where the story wraps up so some question get asked.

It was a free read so I didn't waste any money. The story didn't keep my intrest but would have been quick read if I didn't keep putting it down. Can't say much else. Read it if you want.

I liked the start of this book and both the main characters I really wanted them to get their HEA, I did feel the book could have been a lot better but ultimately it was free, without giving anything away lots of little things niggled me while reading like the fact that Danielle had issues with flying but she relaxed and took off her seat belt, now surely if you're at all worried about flying the last thing you do is take off your belt, I know I'm picking and this was only a small issue but it's the only example I can give without spoiling it. Still I did enjoy the book and it's free.

There wasn't much story or believability with this novella; but it was a fast, interesting read. The whole plot line was a bit far-fetched, but I figured that out from the blurb, so I decided to just enjoy the reading. It was a free novella, and a good introduction to the author's writing style- I'd probably read something else from her- she kept my interest.

It was ok. Didn't think it was good but not bad either. I think the characters and the plot weren't that convincing. The story should have been promising if it was written better. The blurb made me curious (and it's free in Amazon) so I decided to try it. I can't connect to the two characters. I wasn't even convinced they connected with each other. It just felt so rushed.

short story. was okay, would like there to have been more to do with the resort she managed, or none at all. there was hardly anything about it.
steamy in parts and a little rushed others. was okay for a freebie

Not at all what I really expected ,this turned out to be super good and I loved how short but not too short it was. I also loved how Taylor and Danielle fit together with her setting him free from a life of either death or regret and him making her realize how good life is with the right person.

I enjoyed this story as it kept me interested in what was going to happen all the way to the end. I really enjoy when the hero and heroine get to spend lots of forced isolated time together.

This stoty line is straight fictional, so unbelievable. I like that the book had a HEA but other than that the book was ok at best. Was expecting so much more

Great idea for a storyline, but it fell flat. How boring! Do something besides describe the characters' feelings.

The issue I have is it was rushed at the end, but how could it done? how much more writing would be needed? great book must read.

Better than I anticipated. The story had more potential, but good for another quick read.

This book had so much potential with the story line. More is what I would have wanted in this book. It just fell flat to me.

I liked the story line. So much detail in parts and then other parts it was vague.
