Every time I think I read the best of the best menage romance, a new story shows up and tops the previous one. Right at this minute, I am telling you: this is the most incredible menage romance I have read, so far. Wow, just wow.

You may have read my 5-stars review Two Doms for Angel, which is the prequel of Caught by Two Doms. I loved it. When I read the last lines, I was already upset that it was over. I knew by then that the author, Holly S. Roberts, planned to write a sequel of this story so I was happy but already impatient to read it. It took a couple of months, which is very quick in the writing world but too slow for the fan world.

So here I am. Holly S. Roberts asked me to review her story prior to the release. And I felt very privileged when she contacted me. In fact, I am always privileged when an author asks me to review their ARC story. It is their newborn and they take a chance of being told, it is an outstanding or a meh story.

Now, which word is better than outstanding? Let’s see… exceptional, magnificent, impressive, phenomenal… yea, that’s sums it up.

Holly S. Roberts added a great plot into the relationship. It was more than ropes and sex. It was the perfect combination of romance, sex and intrigue. Sadly, because of the epilogue, I know that I will not be able to read more of them.

However, I am officially announcing that Holly S. Roberts is now part of my crush authors menage à quatre, along with Nathalie Acres and Kim Carmichael. :)

I hope I gave you the taste to run and buy this story, Caught by two Doms, and if not already, also the prequel Two Doms for Angel. You want to read something different. You want a little bit more spice in your BDSM romance. You’ll have it, bucketload!

When the past threatens Monroe, Zachary, & Angel, it's up to Monroe to take care of the threat, even if he's technically retired from Special Forces.

After the unforeseen happens, Zachary is forced to evaluate if his love for Angel is strong enough to be what she needs in her Dom and realize that he may have lost the opportunity to experience the complete love that might have been.

Frickin awesome that's what this was. I've enjoyed the previous installments in this series and have come to know that the author has a promising future but I do have to say that, in my opinion, this is THE BEST book of the series by far. It had erotic BDSM, menage action, suspense, intrigue, twists and turns, and a blind side that I screamed bloody murder over.

I guess I should make sure it's realized that it is mandatory to have read Two Doms for Angel prior to this one as it is a prequel of sorts. It's not necessary to have read any of the other installments but the two of these go hand in hand so if you don't read "Two Doms For Angel" first you won't connect as strongly to events and the characters in this installment.

This is an erotic BDSM read that features shibari in a prominent way. For those of you unfamiliar with this I include a link to the author's pinterest page with examples: Holly Roberts: Caught By Two Doms Shibari. The mental imagery of the sensual use of this in the BDSM scenes was so five alarm toe curling hot I'm amazed my e reader didn't melt. Add this into the varied m/f, m/f/m, and m/m themed scenes and I was one happy girl.

Now. For my biggie issue. This is my personal shout out to the author that IF she reads this review she realizes that I was totally totally upset and she knows why. How could you? It is so not fair to throw such a diabolical evil storyline twist into the mix without warning. What makes you think that I'd appreciate you surprising me in such a way? Remember: with great power comes great responsibility.

Lastly, the cast of secondary characters balanced this story out. Stephans, Marguerite, Willow, Katherine, Brandon, Edward, Uday, and others added another dimension that fleshed out the world building going on in this book. Having to pick any one favorite would be like eating just one potato chip. But there's always one bad chip in the bag isn't there....

A great addition to the series from an upcoming author in the BDSM erotica genre.

*This is the continuation of Two Doms for Angel. If you have not read that yet, do so now. It is important to put yourself into the mind set.

I am a firm believer in a review being an honest opinion of a book. Not a reiteration of the authors synopsis.
The first word that came to mind after the last page was ROLLERCOASTER!
I laughed.
I cried.
I had heart wrenching devastation.
I smiled.
I melted.
Not all in that order and all in a mix of good and bad.
There are parts of this book that will leave you angry and wondering how an author can do such a thing. But ultimately, the angry parts changed, in this readers mind, as a necessary evil.
Real life is not cupcakes and rainbows, and the author doesn't give us that in this book. Not saying there isn't a HEA.....there is. But it may not be the one you expect and it will be a bumpy road getting there!!

As for the characters....I shall be sending in my request to join the Nathaniel Monroe support group immediately!
He is controlled, dark, loving, scary, sweet, mysterious, incredible. And a but of an enigma!

It is no secret that, when it comes to my favourite erotica themes, most definitely BDSM, thrillers and hardcore situations top the list. Vanilla is not for me, as are plots with no depth, badly-written smut, pure smut without any plot, and characters that I can't tell apart.

This book had none of that. It was pure ecstasy, and shot right into my most favourite list.
Even if it did give me a heart attack.

We pick up the story where we left off, in the bondage studio of Monroe. The bonds that tie this ménage together are made of more than rope, yet Zach still refused to accept the side of him that craves for Nathaniel's touch. Before he can kneel in submission to his new Master though, gut-wrenching news have him on his knees in despair, as he is now left alone to tend to Angel's needs for thrills far beyond his comfort zone. For her sake and his, he needs to pull himself together, fast, and learn the new ropes.

I would be lying if I said I didn't stop reading this book when disaster stroke. I really couldn't stand it. I cried for real, and refused to read further for a few hours. But just like Zack and Angel, I pushed through, and was rewarded in the end, after lots of anguish and heart ache. Even that wasn't enough to tear me away from this captivating tale of sexual slavery, with enough rope and reddened ass cheeks to last me a few lifetimes.

So all in all, a thrilling read, making your eyes roll and your heart pace quicken. Worth every heart-broken moment. And please take my word when I say, Ms. Roberts deserves one helluva spanking for her stunt.

Caught by Two Doms is the second book of the Two Doms for Angel series (without a doubt my favorite erotic series out there!) It’s so full of passion, excitement, surprises, submission and incredible domination for all fans of the genre to enjoy again and again.

Three completely different people, from three completely different worlds. Each was brought up differently and each wears various scars inside and out. Angel, Zach and Monroe are an awesome trio that (without realizing it) have the power to heal one another of what haunts them. There is the truest form of love within their relationship that just needs to be fully experienced and seen so their love can really bloom to its fullest.

An excellent continuation from Two Doms for Angel. It shows how much each character has grown and how the three of them are making their relationship work. If you’re reading this and want to read Caught by Two Doms, please go back and read book 1 first. There’s so much that you’ll miss if you don’t.

Well this certainly satisfied my need to know more about the elusive Monroe. In the last book we didnt get much info/background on him and only experienced POV of Angel and Zach. In this one we get all three and finally find out how Monroe started his obsession with rope.
The blurb indicates towards a 'tragic' event, which I wont divulge, but it isnt rocket science considering what Monroe's line of work on the side. All ill say is that when this does happen, there is still over half the book to go, so there is lots more to the story.
This is a book that doesnt focus on the kink/shibari/bdsm, i.e. it is not solely meant to titilate like other books, but rather the emotional development of a relationship between three people. Dont get me wrong, the scenes are hot - especially the M/M/f ones!

I love all the El Diablo books, although we only briefly get to visit with old friends at the "club" in these two books. This two book set is my favorite in the series. It was much darker than the other books and I certainly cried more and laughed less but I loved Zach and Monroe. Angel has been severly traumatized by events in her life when first Zach and then Monroe save her. How fortunate to have two strong and sexy men to love and care for you. Each satisfies needs that the other cannot. Ultimately it is a story about love and acceptance of our own needs without shame because they don't fit society's norms. We can't forget Stephens, I think he needs his own story..

I will review both books in this mini series together, because while the first novel ends with a lovely happy ending, the story isn't really complete without the second part. I guess Two Doms For Angel is a book I wouldn't have touched with a ten foot pole, hadn't it been for the great reviews on Goodreads, seeing as it deals with an aspect of BDSM I usually avoid, a master slave relationship.

Two Doms For Angel, the first book, is solely told from Zachary’s point of view, a former marine who years ago in a mission saved Angel from human traffickers. Zachary himself, too, was saved from death by Monroe who, as a killer for the government, stumbled just in time upon the badly beaten and held captive soldier. I won’t extol in this review how the three of them find together, as the author does a splendid job of showing their journey in the book. However, what really merits mention on my part is the way I came to deeply appreciate the master slave relationship between Monroe and Angel. The few 24/7 stories I have read were all about the dom slowly, skilfully extending his domination over the sub, about his want of total control that slowly captivates the sub. Sure, in the end the sub was happy with the arrangement, but I as a reader always felt kind of captivated in the worst sense of the word. I couldn’t understand the wish to give up control up to the level of letting another person decide what to eat and how to clothe.

In the case of this book it is Angel and the horrible events of her past, her upbringing as an Arabic woman and her different social background that made it so clear why giving total submission to Monroe is exactly the right way for her to be totally free. Monroe isn’t a cruel dom, or a dom who insists on endless training sessions with Angel, making her learn to pose in various positions. Monroe’s first passion belongs to Shibari. Since he was a young lad knots and rope have helped him to find a connection to other human beings. When dealing with rope, staging a beautiful scene with a sub, he finds his inner peace and strength. The reason why Monroe becomes Angel’s master, is, because he feels that Angel is not able to set her own boundaries, to respect her own limits. His passion stems from giving Angel what she needs to feel save and cherished, not from imposing his will on her. And yes, I know, the former is usually what BDSM is about, but it’s because of the author’s writing talent that I truly appreciated this power exchange between them.

Zachary has learned to master his dominant cravings under the subtle tutelage of Monroe. He is able to complete and fulfil Angel’s need in a completely different way than Monroe and learns, as the story progresses, to outgrow his own limits and to finally allow himself to submit to Monroe’s ultimate domination.

The reason why I go with a B+ and not an A grade is twofold. First, I was so happy when Zachary finally submitted to Monroe and was hoping for some really hot and lovely scenes. Zachary and Monroe’s relationship isn’t an easy one. When they finally find together it’s in a violent and brutal way, especially as Zachary started out his journey through and through heterosexual and as a dominant. What I was missing was a sex scene of tenderness without violence, I truly wanted to nurture that mushy feeling inside me a little more. Secondly, Angel has a child in the last part of the second book. And seeing as she practically lives an isolated life in the big mansion with her two doms and constantly thinks of them as Master and Sir, rarely addressing them with their given names, I found the concept of a child somewhat frightening. I can’t help myself, I wouldn’t want my child to grow up in an isolated mansion with a mother who rarely seeks contact with the outside world. I also don’t want to imagine sitting together at a table and eating breakfast, while Monroe feeds a kneeling Angel with his hand. I know, this won’t ever happen, but my fantasy is running rampant. B+

Well, for those of you who saw my review for Club El Diablo #5, let's just say some of those questions were resolved.

I enjoy the stories written by Holly Roberts. I have developed a few problems with her style in developing the story though. Things tend to move too quickly. One minute the characters are in everyday life, running, eating, playing piano and playing in the play room.....and then we come to an important part and its too quickly ran through. I can understand the story not being about Monroe and his secretive spy ops, but if they are going to be brought up in any detail they need to be fully detailed. It got me interested in a storyline and then it was gone.

Erotica and action can be mixed quite nicely but there has to be a balance and I just did not find the balance here.

First let me just say that this book was far better than the first one. In the first book I really didn't understand the relationship between Monroe and Zach and looking back I realize that the first book was more about Angel and I didn't realize their would be a part two. With that being said I loved this book it is one of the best in this series with all the emotions. I am glad that Zach was able to understand his feelings for Monroe and that he realized that Monroe loved him also. I am so glad that this book had a happy ending and that Ms. Roberts wrote this one I loved it.

Monroe's past catches up with him when an old enemy threatens to kill the ones he loves. Monroe must return to his former life in order to take care of this threat. Things don't go as planned and Monroe is captured and presumed killed. Angel and Zachary are left to pick up the pieces of their lives and move beyond their unimagined guilt. Monroe unexpectedly reveals that he is alive but only to Zach. He must finish the job he set out to do and once again leaves his to loved ones at home. It's this second leaving that finally forces Zach to fully acknowledge his feelings from Monroe and he can only hope that he will have the chance to act on them. Monroe returns but as in critical condition and after a long road to recovery he is finally able to take the submission that Zachary offers him. The birth of a child completes their relationship and the three finally get their HEA.

This is a poignant love story about loss and renewal and acknowledgement of love it's about picking up the pieces, moving on past grief and living life because that is what the lost loved one would want most of all

This is Club El Diablo: Monroe & Zachery of the Devil’s Playground series, written by Holly S Roberts. Monroe and Zachery have been accepting Angel’s submission for a while now. When Monroe is forced to leave them to keep them safe, the lines get temporarily twisted. Zach and Angel scrape through without Monroe for quite some time before a secret agent arrives at their door. Can Angel and Zach find the strength to start over alone? Will they follow the intended plans that Monroe started? This tale is quite twisted and a little dark, but you will be glad you read it!
