About the author

Jon E. Lewis is a historian and writer, whose books on history and military history are sold worldwide. He is also editor of many The Mammoth Book of anthologies, including the bestselling On the Edge and Endurance and Adventure.

He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in history. His work has appeared in New Statesman, the Independent, Time Out and the Guardian. He lives in Herefordshire with his partner and children.

I noticed a couple of mistakes but that's ok. I learned of tv shows I didn't know existed before.

Again, shows I watched and loved not listed. So I went to the net for comprehensive lists of American, Canadian, British television shows and found even there many of the shows I remember well are not on the lists while others equally obscure are on the list. A few of my missing favourites, The Finder, The Powers That Be, Robin's Hoods, UNSUB, The Yellow Rose, Casablanca, and others. It was a lovely morning and busy researching. I love that about books, something in a book will send me off on a search for a person, a subject, an object, a movie, a tv show, a book.
