Great book! Especially if you are going to be at Disney World for more than 3 days. My son loves search and finds and anything Disney, so he loved this book. It kept him busy the whole time and was very interesting. I have to say I enjoyed it too!!!

It was great going through Walt Disney World with this book! We didn't use it all the time but when were were in line some where or walking from here to there and stopped for something, we'd look into the closest Hidden Mickey! It was lots of fun!!! I emailed the author and told him how we have been to WDW before but this was the first time looking for Hidden Mickey's and he replied quickly which made the experience even more enjoyable!

The author says that this isn't the best way to visit WDW and if it is your first time, don't be using this book for your visit! Just go and experience everything it has to offer! But it was great going back and having this book!

Great book-Took it with us when we visited Disney World. Very helpful for our group while looking for hidden mickeys. Good size for carrying in my backpack for easy access while in the parks.

Hint: Read over each section related to the ride you are about to go on several times before going on an attraction to help you find the hidden mickeys.

A great book for the return visitor who has an interest in more than just the very imoressive first impression. It's fascinating to find out the meticulous attention to detail the designers have.

Some of us go to Disney World a lot. Okay, that might be an understatement. Regardless, there are many things that keep people coming back again and again. One of those things is the ability to discover different things and hidden gems about the parks. For instance, did you know that when many of the Imagineers designed the parks and the rides, they included Hidden Mickeys in various places?

What are Hidden Mickeys you ask? In general, it is a pattern of circles that represent the head of Mickey Mouse. It’s the round face and two round ears. After going to the parks a few times and learning of these hidden patterns all over the World, my kids would become delighted when they spotted one. Prior to our next trip, I purchased the book Hidden Mickeys: A Field Guide to Walt Disney World’s Best Kept Secrets by Steven Barrett.

The book is not meant to be used as a tour guide to the parks and Barrett says so right off the bat. In general, this will appeal mostly to veterans who have toured the parks a few times and are interested in spotting some of the hidden gems of Walt Disney World and aren’t obsessed with touring and seeing everything. If you’re about to embark on your first trip to Walt Disney World, I’d suggest picking up a different book as this one is only good for this specific quest.

Barrett first defines a Hidden Mickey or attempts to. There are some who give more leeway to the interpretation of what a Hidden Mickey is. For the book, though Barrett has a definition that he sticks to. Believe it or not, there are at least more than 1,250 Hidden Mickeys all over Walt Disney World in Orlando!

This isn't a book that you can sit down and read; it must be part of your experience. So if I was rating this book on readability alone, I would rate it probably 2-3 stars.
I haven't been to Disney World or Epcot since my honeymoon in 1996 and I probably won't ever go back, but if I do, I'm definitely taking this book.
Until recently I didn't know what Hidden Mickeys were, but this book talks in detail about where to find them and includes a bunch of scavenger hunts and lots of hints, complete with a scoring system.
Just sitting down to read this book was boring, since obviously I couldn't participate in any of the searches, so I merely scanned it. However, it's an excellent book to bring on a trip to Disney World/Epcot if you want something fun and different to do, especially if, like myself, you've been to The Magic Kingdom or the other parks more than once. BTW there's a thinner, almost identical book for Disneyland as well.

If you have kids and want to or are going to Disneyland or Disneyland - read and take this book! It would be such an incredible adventure.

The facts are just so interesting and it really tests your careful eye!

Since I've been to Disney World more times than I can count, I bought this book hoping to bring a little extra excitment along with me. And boy did it do the trick! Even now when I go without the book, I still find myself trying to spot the hidden mickeys. My advice...if you're going to the parks, get it!

When I say I "read" this book, I mean I opened it and saw what it was about. Apparently there are a ton of hidden images at Mickey Mouse at Disney World and if you've spent $300 or whatever to visit the park you can waste spend your vacation time looking for them.

At least the guy who wrote this made some money for his efforts.

Received on Christmas Eve and finished before the stockings were filled! This one will feed my Disney World obsession for months to come. Our next visit is several years into the future, so I will have plenty of time to plot our routes to hunt down the elusive Hidden Mickey!

This book made the Disney trip more exciting as my nephew & I searched each ride for hidden Mickeys. We got caught up in the excitement & didn't find as many as we had hoped, so next year we are planning on making sure we see them all.

Buy it used or find a Cast Member with a discount. A lot of the stuff is obsolete by now, but it's still cool to look for the Mickeys throughout the parks and resorts.

This book is to cool! It gives a scavenger hunt for finding the hidden Mickeys, and then clues for where they are. Now I check in the book before I go anywhere in Disneyland or Walt Disney World.

A fun book to have for people that go to Disneyland/California Adventure often. Some of the "Mickey's" were lame, but still fun to look for!

This is a great book and was a lot of fun; however, with the Hidden Mickey apps available for smartphones, carrying a book around the parks becomes less necessary.

This would be a handy book to take with you to the Disneyland Resort if you're interested in observing the extreme thought and details that went into the building of the theme parks.
