Rate this book
Angie Harriott, an upcoming country music artist/songwriter grew up in the small town called Ripley, Maryland. She spent her summers vacationing on Ocracoke Island listening to tales about Lost Loves and Blackbeard’s treasure. After a difficult break up with her boyfriend Larry and the sudden death of her father, she follows her dream and moves to Ocracoke Island. She has always called the island the Shores of Forever, because of it’s rich and mystical history. She becomes entwined in mystery and a romance as she begins her new life. Evangeline, her long ago ancestor’s spirit, roams the island looking for her lost love and leaves Angie and her friends clues to the whereabouts of Blackbeard’s treasure map. Angie wonders if there is such a thing as soulmates that can pass from one life to another.

The premise of this book is great but there’s a lot of plot holes and pieces that contradict themselves. Also nothing happens? I know there’s two more books but respectfully it should have been edited a few more times and just made into one book. But I did finish it and want to know what happened so that’s why it’s getting 2 stars.
Although we didn’t get any real conclusion so maybe it should be 1 star.
Proud of the author for following her dream of being an author but I’m frustrated now that it’s over.

A heart-warming story of family, loves- lost and found, and pirates’ treasures. Grab your blanket and a glass of wine. Curl up by the fire or by an open beach cottage window and enjoy. It’s an easy read.
