Hernon and Louise
Louise has a hard time trusting men considering her ex was a liar and a cheater. Hernon doesn't set a good impression when he's flirting with her when his fiance Marla comes into the diner.

Plot: Hernon wants a family and he seems to think the woman who makes that happen doesn't matter so much, so he chooses a woman who wants him but that he doesn't care about too much. Right after they get engaged, he meets his fated mate. He'll have to convince her that he is a good bet and isn't with the other woman any more.
Commentary: Hernon (what a name!) is a bit of douche, as they say colloquially. He doesn't see the worth in woman beyond gratification, and honestly, I still don't think he does at the end, except for his mate. I was glad she didn't give in right away, but considering the short length of the story, it was sooner than it should have been.

Louise has been betrayed before, and Hernon wants to show her all men aren't like that. Of course, he's already agreed to marry someone else before he meets her. I do love that he doesn't waste time with the fiancé once he finds his fated mate. Overall, good story.

Hernon is a bear shifter participating in the BfB program. This program gives shifters and human women a chance to meet and, hopefully, fall in love.
Louise is freshly out of a relationship with a cheating liar who ruined her reputation and her life. She bought the diner in Mystic Hollow to start her life over again.
When they meet, fireworks begin. But, not always in a good way!

Sweet story
Hernon, was an unusual character. He didn't take finding a mate seriously at all. Hence the viper he figured was good as any female. Then he saw, and scented Louise. Just like that the other woman is suddenly getting the break up speech. She was not who she pretended to be, and was there to cause trouble. Louise has big trust issues because of her cheating ex husband, and Hernon has to work extra hard to win his lady's heart, and earn his mate. Great HEA.

She's just right for him. - Hernon has his work cut out for him trying to convince Louise his heart belongs to her alone. He did break a quickie BfB engagement to pursue her. Having been burned before, Louise is resistant to his charms. That is, until he wraps her in his big strong arms and kisses her senseless. Her head and heart might still resist but he can smell the truth. Game on, the prize - his fated mate.
Another great addition to the series, but Marla (ex-fiancee) worked my nerves messing with Louise. She'll get what's coming to her in the Wolves series. AI narrator was not awful but there are moments when it would have been great to hear a growly male voice.

Hernon, is a Grizzly bear and Louise owns the diner. Again, I laughed a lot. "Mama's Den"s previous owner is Hernon's mother.I would be super surprised if anyone did not like this series.

Good read
Hernon and Louise BFB story was a good read. I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Definitely a recommended series. I'm reading the shifter group series in reverse so it makes it more interesting.

Yummy!
Loved the scene in the kitchen...hot! Such a fun story! Sweet as sugar! Lol! These are really fun short stories to read. I like how they build on each other and make it more and more interesting! So fun!

Not as good as Book 3, but still a darn good read!

Short and sweet, like sugar (IYKYK)
Everyone loves a little scandal and you definitely get that with Hernon in this book. You also get a little crazy lol this one has a couple of funny moments but overall it’s just sweet and hopeful.

Fun Read!
I've read most of the BfB series and they are a delight! This one had one twist I didn't see coming, but it just added to the fun! These are short, fun, steamy reads and I highly recommend them!

The whole series is amazing. I really enjoyed the storyline. He wanted kids so badly he was ready to settle. There is passion , resistance and then love.

Louise was hurt in a previous relationship so has a hard time trusting. Hernon knows as soon as he sees her she is his mate but he agreed to marry someone else. While flirting with Louise and her feeling like she is attracted to someone for the first time his fiancé walks in and ruins everything
Hernon has to convince her that her only wants her. He tells his finance he is not marrying her which pisses her off.
Louise and Hernon are finally getting somewhere when the now ex comes in and starts to talk about their wedding and Louise runs away.
Hernon finds her and everything is ok.
I'm glad they got rid of the fiancé straight away. Cheating is a hard no for me so I was glad he ended it straight away.

Amazing short story about learning to trust again.
Worst thing that can happen to a relationship is to have your partner cheat on you.
Best thing is finding a new partner that is so in love with you that you will take another chance at true love and a family.
