This book was published in 2001 but it's a great story and well worth looking out for. Joe has a high-powered job in a legal firm and is challenged to find childhood friend and neighbour, Jenna, who has been missing for four years. Growing up, Joe’s family life had been chaotic and Jenna’s home had been his happy place; and he feels guilty because she disappeared with Chatwood, whom he introduced her to while at university. Now, with the help of his friend Sarah, Joe’s enquiries unlock a chain of events. I found the way Clare Francis explores the family dynamics in this really interesting and the characters were compelling. And I couldn't stop turning the pages because it was so well paced.
