Two years ago, Melanie Cottman’s life was turned upside down. Her parents divorced and sent her to Philadelphia with family while their proceedings were finalized, and Melanie quickly came to realize that the divorce was the least of her problems. She learned hard lessons that taught her that life could be a whole lot harder if she wasn’t careful.
The things she endured in Philly stuck with her. They changed her. Now, just a few months away from starting a new life in college, Melanie must find a way to deal with the past that still haunts her. She has every intention of leaving those bad memories behind, but everywhere she turns her old issues are always there. School becomes an adequate distraction though, especially when she meets a man that can help her forget, but like always, as soon as things began to go right, Melanie’s past pops up. This time not in the form of bad memories, but in the real world, and Melanie is forced to battle through it all over again. There is no more running from her past now. She must face it; it’s a matter of life and death.
This is Ceet The Author’s fifth novel and this one leaves the reader even more enthralled than the one before it. The Whore and The Virgin part 2 is the second installment of the trilogy that has kept readers gripped from the beginning. Ceet’s fast paced style and frightening depictions will pull you in and take you on a wild ride. The journey of these young women will become your journey; their decisions, right or wrong, will become your decisions. Part two picks up right where part one left off, and it will serve as a perfect set-up to the third and final chapter of this story. To put it bluntly, Ceet has given his readers exactly what they’ve been waiting for.
Ceet The Author hails from South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he began honing his craft as an artist as early as age nine. At fourteen he wrote a short story for his high school English class entitled “Summertime in my neighborhood”, and fifteen years later that story became the basis for Ceet’s first official release, 2009’s “The Whore and The Virgin.” The book became an instant hood classic and all of the positive feedback inspired Ceet to release his second effort, “A Dog’s Day” that very same year.
While gaining recognition as a writer Ceet then began pursuing another passion, filmmaking and videography. In 2010 he wrote, produced, and directed “The Wrong Few Brothas” movie/music video starring City Council and Jay Stars. Also in 2010 was the release of “The Dead End Movement”, a documentary about the Philadelphia community where Ceet was raised. After completing the documentary Ceet went on to produce and direct a number of independent film projects, including the “The BARZ freestyle series” and the “Dead End Cyphers”, as well as a number of music videos for artist in and around Philadelphia, including the 2012 street banger “The South Philly Anthem.”
Today Ceet continues to study his craft and pursue his dreams from his home in South Philly. He’s already released several more novels under his imprint BRP Entertainment, as well as several skits, web series, and music videos. With many more projects down the line Ceet shows no signs of slowing down.
