Sibylla Matilde grew up on the back of a horse exploring in the mountain valleys of Southwest Montana. She attended a two-room schoolhouse 1st through 6th grade where she had same teacher the whole time. At the age of 12, Siby discovered historical romance, devouring the work of Jude Devereaux, Lisa Kleypas, and Karen Robards. She began writing in 2013 with her debut novel, Little Conversations, and self-published ten works over the next three years. She took a few years off to deal with life (it proved very difficult to move on from her Bangin’ Mofos…they were a blast to write), but is back at the keyboard with new steamy stories brewing in her naughty little brain.

Music is her emotional trigger. Growing up with a Wagnarian-opera-loving mother, Sibylla loves music that digs deep into her soul and covers her with goosebumps. The soundtrack to her life includes different genres and generations, but her favorites include Thirty Seconds to Mars (she’s a bit obsessive about Jared Leto, actually), Kings of Leon, The Killers, My Chemical Romance, and many other artists and bands. Her inspiration playlists on Spotify truly drive her writing, and she loves to share her eclectic taste with anyone who will listen.

Siby strives to write books that make the reader bask in the sweet glow of new love, burn hot with a passionate intensity, and day drink from gut-wrenching heartache. Her characters are not world-famous rock stars or billionaires, rather every-day small-town people experiencing their own extraordinary romantic adventures in the Rocky Mountains she calls home. Siby loves to hear from fans and can be reached at Siby@SibyllaMatilde.com.

Just realized I've not done a nipple count on my own book! :/ So....

nipple = 12
breast = 24
cock = 9 (although sometimes cocking of the head, but sometimes not...)
fuck = 120 (often used as like 'awe, fuck...' but sometimes more like 'fuck me')

There's also a fair amount of clenching, gasping, and teasing. ENJOY!

Forget a knight in shining armor! How about being saved by a guy in a little white towel and named Ronin. Seriously. * le sighhhh

This book really caught me by surprise !! I found myself really enjoying this steamy story of Devin and Ronin❤️. Devin was in an emotionally abusive relationship with Jake. We have all been there, first blind love at 18, so in Devin's eyes, Jake was the end all say all. She loved him and had a fairytale future planned for them riding off into the sunset. Jake, unfortunately had other plans. Each time he dragged her down and took a break from her, he'd turn back around and Devin would be there to take him back. I was not particularly fond of this but it worked with this story because right before my eyes, Devin was growing into her own. Even though I really wanted Devin to get a backbone, I really related to her. Hey, I was young and naive once and it took many a dumbasses to help me discover my own worth.

Enter Ronin. Ummmmm swoon. He was beautiful, broad shouldered and many things but most importantly he became her friend and protector.

She felt desirable. She felt sexy. She felt so many things that she hadn't felt in so long. And she wanted to feel more.

Ronin had the patience of a saint just being there for Devin as a friend. He held her and comforted her, he made her laugh and he was her constant companion. It was frustrating! Open your eyes and see what's it front of you!! Please! He loves you!!!

"Ronin, it doesn't really have anything to do with you."

"Except that I'm not Jake, right?"

No worries ..... The story ending beautifully!! Don't miss out on Devin's discovery ....

she saw Ronin in the stars. A warrior. A saint. A savior.

3--I Wanted to PUNCH Devin in the Face--Stars!!!!

Ugh! Damn Devin.....you were frustrating as hell!

I'm sorry but you ruined the book for me. I just don't get it.

So we meet Devin. She's heartbroken because her boyfriend of 3 some odd years broke up with her. Nevermind the fact that he beat her down emotionally a majority of the time they were together and cheated on her repeatedly.

Jake:

Devin--how could you possibly STILL be in love with JERKFACE Jake...

After the break-up Devin pretty much boozes her life away. She spends her weekends partying at Ronin's house. They develop a friendship of sorts. I can't tell you how many times she admitted in the book that she was a lush and a tease.

And EVERY time this happens she says she just can't be with Ronin because she's still in love with Jake! "I love Jake!" "I know he's going to love me back!" "He has to love me!" "He's going to choose me!"

I was seriously one more "I still love Jake" away from DNFing the book.

Knock, Knock Devin...is anyone home??? Jake DOES NOT love you. He is sleeping with Melanie and you at the same time. And you know this!!! Yet you keeping holding on to him....WHY?? He has ZERO redeeming qualities! ZERO!!! Help me understand this please??

Finally, at almost 65% in to the book she gives things a chance with Ronin. Frankly, if I were Ronin I would have said "Peace Out". Of course things are off the charts AMAZING when they have sex. But you know we haven't seen the last of Jake.

While partying at Ronin's, Devin sees a hot blonde eyeing Ronin so she decides to stake her claim. Only to friend-zone Ronin....WTF?!?!?!

As I predicted, Jake shows up followed by one big mis-communication between Ronin and Devin. Now I'm just exhausted....I just really struggled with Devin and her love for Jake. I just didn't understand why she put up with him and still wanted him. He beat her down emotionally and cheated on her repeatedly. I get that he was her first love....but come on have some respect for yourself.

This was a standalone with an HEA. For a debut book, I will say it was pretty well written--it did have some errors. I just couldn't get past the annoying heroine.

Little Conversations by Sibylla Matilde is a simple love story that takes you on a small journey of rediscovering your self-worth, love, and moving on. This book surprised me on how much I found myself understanding with what the main characters went through. Abuse can be broken up into two categories: physical and emotional. Abuse whether physical or emotional can leave behind scars that will take time for those wounds to fade and heal. Sometimes those scars never go away and are just buried away with guilt. Typically, I like my heroines to be strong and confident and yet Devin wasn't that. Devin was just a simple 18-year old teenager struggling to discover her self-worth. There was something endearing to see a heroine who started off as weak blossom into a person worthy of love.
LC
Devin McKay was emotionally battered and tormented by her first love, Jake. She wanted nothing more than to save her relationship with Jake. She loved him and would have done anything for him. Through the years of their relationship, Devin found herself loving Jake more than herself. She aimed to please him. Following his wants, orders, and desires. Pieces of the real Devin were disappearing. And yet how much Jake treated her badly, she would justify his love. Jake was a prime example of a narcissistic boyfriend, he played and used Devin for his selfish needs. Devin was aware that Jake was going back and forth with his recent girlfriend Melanie and her and yet she was hopeful that Jake will go back to her. As much as you want to slap Devin to wake up, I found myself understanding her. She was young and in-love. She was blinded by a love that she has yet to recognize that was not real true love. In all honesty, I found my strength in my years and experiences so in Devin's case, she needed this time of struggle to reflect on rediscovering her worth.

Ronin Andrews, a 24-year old, was the heart of this book. He recognized the pain and hurt that Devin went through in her relationship with Jake. He understood her because he too had experienced a break-up that left him with emotional scars. Ronin became Devin's confidant; the shoulder she needed to lean on. He was the total package: alpha male, sexy, sweet, loving, strong, and best friend. As much as Ronin wanted Devin, he never pushed her. He was gentle, caring, supportive and was just the person she needed. He made her see that she is indeed beautiful, smart, and worthy to be loved.Through him, she was able to recognize and find her inner strength. Ronin and Devin's relationship was simply beautiful and touching. I was happy to see a couple who survived the torrential downpour of heartaches finally get their HEA. I would like to think fate was indeed written in the stars for them.
LC2
I enjoyed reading Little Conversations and devoured the book in one sitting. Devin's journey was touching. I felt her pain and hurt and understood what its like to be young. To witness her growth and transformation was uplifting. She may have started off weak but she was able to find her way out of the darkness. I loved and adored Ronin. He was simply her North Star guiding her in the right direction: a place where she is worthy of love and to love. Sibylla Matilde did a great job in her debut book in highlighting that emotional abuse is just as painful as physical abuse.

Little Conversations by Sibylla Matilde

I received a copy of Little Conversation in exchange for an honest review.

This the debut novel written by Sibylla Matilde, Sibylla writing was great her characters are well written and the story flowed so well that I read it this afternoon not stopping once.

Little Conversations is about a young woman named Devin who is heartbroken by her first love Jake. Jake is what we would all call a jerk and Devin could do so much better. But it is her first love, her first kiss, and her first everything. So when Jake breaks up with her Devin feels broken.

Hanging out with friends and partying and drinking a lot Devin meets Ronin. Now Ronin is tall, handsome and so very sexy you know where this story should go. Ronin has had his own heart broken and never wants to feel that pain again. So he feels very protective of Devin.

Ronin and Devin become friends, and we see they relationship develop and as the reader and a love of romance and HEA your cheering for them all the way through the story.

Little Conversation is about growth and acceptance, romance, friendship, forgiveness and moving on. The only thing I felt lacking was around the topic of the emotional abuse and I wish someone would have talked to Devin about this more and why she felt the way she did so often.

Anyway I enjoyed Little Conversation a lot, and I really like some of the secondary character so hopefully we will hear more from them in future books. Great Cover!

I have rated Little Conversation a 4 star rating and cannot wait to see what else Sibylla Matilde has in store for us.

*Copy given to girls by author in exchange for an honest review..www.sizzlingpages.com full review to follow..

This book took me on a small journey..I wanted to slap the heroine Devin in the face on many, many occasions for being weak and letting a boy (stupid boy at that) make her feel less than she is. But a part of me recognized myself and young girls growing up. I would like to think I was a bit stronger back in the day..but if I am being honest, I found my strength in my years and experience.

Ronin on the other hand was perfect. Alpha, protective, sweet and always concerned with how something effected Dev even if it would be harder for him. He was a sexy, sweet, protective dirty talking construction boy who fell hard for the damaged young girl that walked into his house on a Saturday night. Right from the beginning he felt the need to protect Dev and that need grew into more..

[image error] photo 4d7199e4a3f5308e72843a75afc804de_zps8eccde58.jpg

The story was good..I felt like the strength Dev found in herself happened in an honest way..but being a crazy bitch who can't condone physical or mental abuse on anyone..I wanted the little sawed off prick to suffer way more then he did. That's me though..always looking for brute force justice!

Twilight meets Thoughtless
I devoured this book. Lots of yummy moments strung together artfully. It's a little YA, but it flows great. It reminded me of the volatility of that age, how irrational you can feel about love, clinging to boys who seemed so important at the time, but in retrospect, none of them were the right one. 'They were like northern stars, pointin me on my way, to your lovin arms'

I don't know how many people will know this song, I remember it. It's perfect for this book;

I know you broke up with him
And your heart's still on the shelf
It's been over two years for me
And I'm still not quite myself
You can't be with someone new
And you can't go back to him
You're beginning to realize
That it's sink or swim

Someday I'll get the nerve
To walk up to you and say

This is the last worthless evening
That you'll have to spend
Just gimme a chance
To show you how to love again
This is the last worthless evening
That you'll have to spend
'Cause I'll be there
When your broken heart is on the mend

I had the honor of beta reading this book and damn am I glad I read it.

Reasons why I loved this debut novel:
1) Ronin.........mmmmmmmmm..........Ronin. He's super yummy.
2) fabulous chemistry between Ronin and Devin.
3) On a personal level, I found myself being able to relate to Devin's journey throughout the novel....going from a doormat to a strong woman, learning how to be assertive, learning simply what she wants and who she is.
4) I can honestly say I have NEVER had such an intense reaction to a character like Jake. He is such a douchecanoe. Wanted to reach through the kindle and strangle him. So to me, the fact that I did have that reaction means the writing was AMAZING.
5) The smut. Duh. ;P

Congratulations Sibylla Matilde!! Job well done girl!!!!

Shhhh I admit it I got this book for the cover!! Damn hot!! And yep I admit it I was swooning over all that is Ronin!!

Eighteen-year-old Devin McKay is a complete and total emotional wreck. Fresh out of high school and on her own for the first time in her life, she’s reeling from rejection of a relationship gone very, very bad..

Jake was Devin's first love, first boyfriend, her first everything and her very first heart break..

Ronin Andrews is still battling his own cataclysmic ghosts. He recoils from anything heartfelt, choosing instead to work hard and live wild. Outside of his job, parties and causal hooks-ups are his life until Devin walks in.
With her short skirt and her sad green eyes, he can’t help but want her… badly. His protective streak wants to provide her with a haven, to shelter and sustain her..He was drawn to her the very first time she stepped into his home, from that first look he had wanted her..

I loved all that was Ronin, his need to protect Devin, he was her knight in shinning armor..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Sneak peak: Ronin opens the door in only a small white towel wrapped round his waist, the faint scent of soap envelopes her senses as her eyes travel down to his bare feet and back up to settle on the small white towel..Her vision slowly traveled up to his bare chest, it was mouthwatering (I can agree with her there) Broad with a light dusting of hair over his pectorals, firm and solid, lightly tanned muscles of physical, hard working man..
And this is where I had to wipe the drool off my face!! Damn!!

It was hard to connect with Devin but then sitting back and thinking about it I can relate on some degree to her love for Jake, she handed Jake her heart on a platter thinking he was the one, the one she would marry and have that happy ever after with, but that's not how this story goes..

Awesome Breakout Novel
Gahhhh from the first page Devin was breaking my heart. The author was able to capture the insecurity and sadness Devin had from page 1. Devin was not an annoying character, in fact my 18 year old self could easily relate to her. Being a teen is hard , being a "teen in love" is harder especially with a douche like Jake. I just wanted to wrap my arms around Devin and tell her what my grown up self wished she knew at her age but in order to learn from it Devin has to experience it for herself and that she did. Every excuse she made, whenever she turned a blind eye, when she offered herself regardless of the lack of respect Jake had for her I just cringed and shook my head. made me want to track him down and beat his a**. Her weakness was understandable, she was with the person who supposedly loved her and she trusted that. It reminded me of what we were like when we were so young and innocent, before we became a bit jaded.

Ronin was a strong character, think the strong silent type. Didn't say much but when he did it was well thought out and concise. He understood Devin and made her feel like she could be her true self and that he accepted her as is. It was awesome to watch Devin grow while she was with Ronin and watch her confidence flourish. I loved watching bits and pieces of her personality bubble over.

Jake, well lets just say Jake is special. He should win some kind of GR award for biggest douche. I knew guys just like him in high school and college which probably is why I had such a reaction.

The story is well thought out and the writing strongly conveyed each emotion.

Good job Sibylla Matilde on your first book...squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

GREAT BREAKOUT NOVEL!

The author captures a vibrant portrait of the characters and their motives. The hero is Ronin. He is a broken hearted male who’s behavior had manifested itself into separation and bitterness, until he meets Devin.
They two characters find solace and comfort in each other.

This book is an in depth analysis of a young girl’s struggle with a failed relationship. It is about a young girl who goes back to the person who is no good for her (Jake). Devin’s internal struggle is realistic and emotional. Her behavior is what we hope to never see in a daughter or a sister, but all too often happens.

The plot is appealing and forces us to look at the situation with ambiguity. We root for Ronin and Devin to find themselves and meet on the common ground they already possess, but also feel torn by the events that take place and the characters’ well-being.

I highly recommend this New Adult book. It is engaging, thought provoking, timeless, and very well done.

The story of Devin and Ronin, and the oh so infuriating Jake.
Now if you don't like a book that gets you not knowing whether you love or hate the main character maybe you should think carefully before reading this.
Quite simply Devin is in a relationship with Jake but he doesn't only love Devin! I think the saying having your cake and eating it comes to mind! Devin meets Ronin and so starts a beautiful friendship.
As I said there are times that you find Devin irritating but she's a venerable downtrodden sole.
Ronin is pure beauty however, there were so many times when I thought he was going to say enough is enough, but he never lets you down.

This book however, is simply beautiful and wonderfully written, definitely worth a read if you like some angst in your romance books.
Great steamy scenes too, everything I love in a book.
Even better is at the end you have an extensive playlist and the recipes for Devins cocktails !! brilliant.
5 stars from me.

Little Conversations is the first book by author Sibylla Matilde. The story begins with Devin a recent high school grad struggling to save her relationship with her boyfriend Jake.

Devin
 photo Devin-LittleConversations_zps4ddd59f7.jpg

She is determined to do what she can to make things work with Jake. Even if that means putting herself through some pretty nasty stuff. Jake is self absorbed and he's cold and thoughtless towards Devin. I won't give anything away, but Jake is a total Douche!

 photo Jakeisajerk-littleconversations_zps86beef73.gif

During a rough patch in Devin's sort-of-break-up with Jake she meets Ronin a friend of a friend. Ronin sees something in Devin and he is drawn to her and the two form a solid friendship. Ronin is protective, attentive, and compassionate towards Devin something she isn't entirely used to.

Ronin
 photo Ronin-LittleConversations_zpsbac2ea14.jpg

Through the course of the story things start to heat up between Devin and Ronin. The sexual tension between these two was "muy caliente" (very hot)!

 photo hot-littleconversations_zps48d0fdcf.gif

Not long after things start getting on track for Devin and Ronin their fragile trusting hearts are tested. Jake makes a very unwelcome return as well as Ronin's ex Kim. You can just guess how that worked out for their budding relationship.

 photo drama_zpsc7b38df8.gif

Then, Devin makes some difficult decisions in her life. Although, they are heart wrenching, she goes through some much needed personal growth and changes for the better!

 photo somedays-littleconversations_zps7b6df872.gif

The story ends beautifully. I love how Devin told stories of the constellations throughout the book. The author's blend of it into the epilogue was seamless and perfect!
 photo BluffsatDelMar-LittleConversations_zpsbe88c9b0.jpg

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I also appreciated the drink recipes following the story as well as the author's play list for each chapter. It helped me get a better since of "where" her head was when she was writing. I will definitely read more from her.

Quick Review:
New Adult

Series- No. It's a Stand alone. (no series info listed on Goodreads)

Overall Rating- 4 Stars

Steaminess- 5 Stars (very steamy)

Story- 3.5 Stars, The story was well written but there were a few minor editing issues. The ending seemed a bit rushed in comparison to the flow of the rest of the story.

Characters- 4.5 Stars, The characters were well developed. Devin gave me a bit of a headache in the first half of the book. But, I must say, I can see many young females reacting and hanging on to toxic relationships like she did. So, I thought Devin's struggle was very appropriate.

Recommendation- Yes, I recommend this to anyone who enjoys New Adult or Romance. Little Conversations is a great book about friendship, love, acceptance, and personal growth.

The sweetness of little conversations....

Little Conversations is a sweet and tender and HOT love story about Devin and Ronin. Devin has recently graduated from high school and is stuck in an emotionally abusive relationship with Jake, her boyfriend of 3 years. The author describes it so perfectly as ill-fated young love . It is interesting to me that some people couldn't understand why Devin continues to hold on to Jake and just not let him go, but if you really put yourself back into high school mode and imagine you are an extremely insecure girl, you can see how loving one boy and his jealousy, abusive comments and smothering can control you. When a girl is told you aren't worthy for anyone else but him, some girls tend to believe that. And not only do they believe it, they can't get past it. And that is our Devin. A girl who sits by and waits for Jake's return....even if he is returning from the arms of another girl.

Devin is introduced to Ronin at a party, and he takes to her. He becomes not only her friend but her protector and through this relationship love develops, but it does not develop quick or without patience. Devin is still holding a candle for Jake in hope's he will come back to her and in waiting she might just end up losing the best thing for her....Ronin.

The book written in third person almost felt as it was being read to me as a bedtime story. It flowed well, the scenes were very vivid and I absolutely loved the character of Ronin. Little Conversations had a lot of what I look for in a book....A flawed (but not over the top flawed) character, a bit of angst (but not so much I had to wait for book 2 to get answers), a great setting - the beautiful Montana, good referenced music and very some steamy sex. In a world of books about billionaires and women getting gifts galore, it was nice to read about a hard working carpenter and a girl who was looking for her way in life.

I give 4 stars to the debut novel by Sibylla Matilde....Nice job!

A HOT MESS!

That's what Devin is.

Jake has her so messed up that she can't possibly see how any one else can possibly find her special.

So many times the hot guy falls for the plain girl who can't understand why any one could like little old her! For once there is a valid reason as to why a girl would think that about herself and why the hot guy see's more in her than she see's when she looks in the mirror.

I HATED Jake! And though I have never let a guy treat me that badly, when I was younger I did date a guy who made me doubt myself and feel guilty for wearing make-up or slightly sexy clothes or even looked at another guy crooked. So I could empathize with some of what Devin was going through.

But Ronin. Sweet, sweet Ronin. He was adorable.
So kind and gentle with Devin, and put up with so much shit from her to be fair.

I thought their relationship was such a mess and that is how life can be and made it more believable.
And though there was drama it wasn't to the point of ridiculousness that some stories can have.

My only thing was that some of the convo's were a bit formal. And I did wonder about Devin's parents & why they weren't more involved in her life. I felt like even an odd call from her mum after she broke up with Jake would have been more plausible.

Other than that a great debut novel that was heartfelt & genuine.

What a fantastic debut novel for Sibylla Matilde.

I loved this book. It was well written, well thought out and the story flowed brilliantly.

Centred around a young girl named, Devin, we experience her life and the struggles she faces. We meet the past that she is unable to let go of along with the future that is trying so hard to break through.

There are moments that make you smile, laugh, cringe and shout. There were moments that my kindle almost ended up out of the window, but all signs of a fabulous book.

This book is perfect for those seeking a nice new adult read.

I had the privilege of beta reading this book (my 1st!!).

This is Sibylla Matilde debut novel about finding true love. The story takes you on an emotional roller coaster with laughter, happiness and heartbreak. It reminds us sometimes we need to let our hearts lead and stop worrying about the ideas of what we think love should be.

I received a copy of this book through the fifty shades support group on goodreads via the author for a honest review.

First I DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT like Jake. He is a snake. He is horrid and just downright blech. I don't care how gorgeous and popular you are just blech. downright snake and wolf in sheep's clothing bad. What he does to Devin and how he destroys her psyche is just wrong plain and simple. He gets anything that happens to him. And let me tell you he deserves to get more that what happens to him. He got off easy in my opinion the little weasel. I so clapped and did the happy dance when Ronin stepped up all those times for Devin against him.

Ronin though oh heavens he is Mr. Darcy personified. so sweet and patient but he was shredded in the past by his own version of Jake in stilettos. Another one Kim yuck that I DO NOT LIKE. I so want to put her and Jake on the spin cycle and watch them get wringed out. Anywhoo Ronin befriends Devin and even protects her from Jake and herself. All the while you know he is falling for her but is trying not to. He is so gentle and caring with her. He does do a bonehead move but it was out of love and compassion so it can be forgiven. I think in a way Devin helped Ronin as much as Ronin helped Devin it just takes Devin longer to realize things.

Devin is young and really has no idea what she feels. She was in a horrible relationship for so long that her self image and confidence is completely gone. You feel for her. I do though want to yell at her for the alcohol to forget thing. That is just not the way to go even Ronin tells her this. As Ronin protects her, she slowly begins to believe in herself somewhat though she does fall back into old patterns and does stupid things for "love" or what she thinks is "love". As ronin helps her she realizes that Ronin is better than she could hope for.

A book about first love and its power it has on you. On how one person can shred you and another can help put you whole again. Hopeless beautiful love that can heal you and intimate scenes that will have you cry for joy.

Wonderful read, well written with scenes that come to life.
Beautiful young Devin, is spending her summer between high school graduation and college , party hopping with her girlfriends and drinking trying to forget about her boyfriend Jake. Jake who she always imagined herself married to with children, but that has all changed , he has met another girl while away working and only sees Devin when the new girl is not available.
It's not right , it's not fair but Devin just can not let go, she hopes that Jake will come back to her, yes, did I want to Smack her and yell at her to wake up, sure did! Why? Because I so wanted her to see the wonderful man that was right in front of her face, Ronnin, sweet, wonderful , sexy ,understanding Roninin, ( I Want a Ronnin please).
Devin first meets Ronnin at his place during a house party and Ronnin is totally taken with her, so much so,that when Jake and his new girlfriend shows up at his house party he throws them out. No one has ever thought of Devin's feelings first not even Jake, Jake has spent the last few years actually from by on controlling Devin , putting her down it It is after this episode that Ronnin becomes slowly but surely Devins rock to lean on; and all the time he is falling more and more in love with her, but he will not push,he will hold her , listen to her talk about Jake, but what he really loves is how she can just talk away about little stories . Ronnin knows from experience , his own , Devin needs to be ready to let Jake go; so ,Ronnin waits patiently.

Such a sweet slow romance between these two you feel the sexual tension as you read between them; some extremely hot scenes between them and Devin still though the majority of the book just can not get past Jake. You, hit a point that you think these two will just never get it fully worked out . I do love a twist and especially one that eventually gives you a Happy Ending! The best part is you get to see their love developing with each little conversation and encounter!

As much as I wanted to enjoy this. I couldn't seem to get into it like I'd hoped. Unfortunately I had to dnf it at 40%.

As far as story telling goes there was absolutely nothing wrong with the story, or the writing in general. It was mostly the characters that I disliked and couldn't get a handle on.

I like my heroines to be strong and kick-ass taking no crap. I understand that Devin went through a lot of emotional turmoil and I don't know what that's like having never experienced, and maybe that is the way people deal, but I couldn't get passed the fact that she dwelled on it all, and to me rather than picking herself up and brushing it off she just dwelled, pushing Ronin away and to me, she was just sad and a little pathetic.

Although I liked Ronin to start, I like my book men to be bad and swoony. I found none of those in Ronin. Sure he was hot, there's no denying, but for me and the way I like my book men to be, he lacked a little oompth!

One other gripe I had was that I wasn't entirely sure if I was reading NA or YA. There are no doubt some crude words and a few steamy scenes, but the story in general (although good) felt a little YA, and I've recently gone off YA for some unknown reason.

There's no denying that Sibylla Matilde knows how to write. And I had no issues with the writing or the story really, it's just if I start to dislike the main leads, I in turn begin to not care or see any way of continuing a book that I can't enjoy.

By all means read it for yourself. It wasn't for me, but it might just be for you all :)

Thanks Sibylla for allowing me to read and review it. I'm sorry I couldn't enjoy it as much as others did.

**** EROTICA BOOK CLUB REVIEW ****

Little Conversations
by Sibylla Matilde
Devin has been hurt by her boyfriend Jake who has treated her like crap and kept her hanging while he cheated and manipulated her. He breaks up with her and leaves her devastated, Ronin sees how hurt she is and quickly becomes her friend . Ronin's feelings run deeper than friendship but Devin is still hurting over Jake and wants him back. She is a mess and comes to rely on Ronin helping her through the hurt, she is attracted to him but won't act on her feelings.

If you have not met Ronin Andrews yet, OMG you are in for a massive treat! This guy had me falling for him straight away and gave me butterflies in my tummy and still hours later I keep thinking of him. He has been hurt in the past and is also trying to get past that by sleeping around and partying until Devin walks into his life and everything changes for him. I loved his character and spent the whole book swooning over him. The sex scenes are so well written I was reduced to a quivering wreck just by reading them.

I found Devin to be a royal pain in the bum and wanted to give her a shake at times but have a good understanding why her feeling were so messed up. I really wanted to punch Jake in the face repeatedly.
A fantastic read that you will not want to put down and Ronin will be messing with your head long after you put it down.

5 let that towel fall dawn stars

OMG Sibylla... Are you trying to kill me???
Let me tell you a live this book, and by the way you were so right, I LOVED Ronin... I felt IN LOVE with him instantly...
I'm not a fan of books in 3th person but after a prologue I didn't care...
And Devin, what she went drouth with Jake ( who's an ashore and a jurk and I want it to kill him if I could, and honestly was hopping for a really bad end for him) no woman should go throw what Devin went with him. He abused her psychologically, and put her down so many times that she was a rag when Ronin find her... But the way he loved her... Damn I loved him right away

“He wanted her. Sweet Jesus, he wanted her. But he had realized in that very moment that he wanted her whole even more.”

And at the end of the book i was in tears...

“Ronin had made her feel loved. Cherished. Worshipped.”

“It was like he needed her more than food, more than sleep, more than air.

Just a little taste of her every night, and he felt whole.”

Thank you once again for an amazing Journey.... And an amazing and exciting and HOT book...

I seriously bought this book because of the cover cause I mean how could I not with those abs on display. I am so glad I bought this book cause I loved it from the start. the chemistry between Ronin and Devin was out of this world. I have to say that Devin really started pissing me off, cause she couldnt pull her head out of her butt long enough to see what was standing right in front of her. Jake which is her ex-boyfriend and in my mind the biggest douche bag I have ever encountered in a book. I mean really who breaks up with their girlfriend of 3 years for some skank and when the skank leaves to go home for the week you call your ex for a booty call. oh and you tell her you love her. I seriously want to cut his balls off. Ronin on the other hand was the polar opposite of Jake aka " the douche". I loved him from the beginning and my love for him just grew as the book went on. this book is funny, emotional, and heart warming. Its a story of broken girl and broken guy and through all the pain in their past find what is meant to be their forever.

What a beautiful story. This book definitely got to me, I wanted to punch Jake, slap Devin and take Ronin home with me! What a great set of characters and to get that much emotion out of me they were obviously well written.

I won't spoil the book, it has highs and it has lows, and I definitely needed a tissue at one point.

I'll definitely be looking out for more books by this author.
