Trouble has always had a way of finding me, but I never expected to be carjacked by a hot girl in a wedding dress.
As the official family screw-up, not many people count on me for anything but a good time. But Maisy Romero and her little brother need a knight in shining armor, and they need him yesterday.
Clearly, I’m not that guy, especially since I’ve already got serious trouble chasing me down—the kind that just landed me in jail. The last thing this runaway bride needs is to tangle herself up with me and my mess.
But Maisy sees something greater in me that nobody else ever has—well, almost nobody—and she’s determined to get me to see it too.
I should push her away for her own good. After all, there’s a reason people don’t count on me. But somehow I still find myself asking: Could I possibly be that knight after all—even if my armor is tarnished and dented?
Deja Brew All Over Again is a small-town rom-com that's part of a series but can also be enjoyed as a standalone steamy romance.
TROPES: Roommates (forced proximity) Runaway bride Small town He falls first Redemption Adorable little brother Nosy family Sizzling chemistry Snarky banter Bigfoot A skunk named Mango
USA Today bestselling author Sylvie Stewart loves bad jokes, dirty rom-coms, country music, and baby skunks—preferably all at the same time. Most of her steamy contemporary and romantic comedy novels take place across her favorite state of North Carolina, and her characters never run out of snarky banter or snacks. When her laptop closes, Sylvie is a sucker for hugs from her twin boys and a good laugh with her hot-nerd hubby. If you love smart Southern gals, hot blue-collar guys, and snort-laughing with characters who feel like your best friends, Sylvie's your gal.
Deja Brew All Over Again is the third amazing book in the wonderful Love on Tap series. All the books in the series can be read as a standalone but I say read the first two books Ale's Fair in Love and War and Smooth Hoperator in the series because you are missing out on some wonderfully fun stories and characters. I have been waiting for Millers story. I really enjoy Sylvie’s easy writing style and eclectic narrative making her one of my favourite authors. This forced proximity steamy Rom Com is light, fun and an easy read. Deja Brew All Over Again has a great plot, a storyline full of humour, lots of warmth, heart, and little heated chemistry. Set in a small town there is a bit of drama, a little suspense, some cuteness, along with a dash of sweetness. It is a quick read that I wish were longer and is told in several POV’s, making it easy to fall in love. I was laughing out loud at the sassy antics and easy but snarky banter and found myself loving each and every one of these flawed, well-developed, crazy, quirky and fun-loving characters including a skunk named Mango, a nosy as all get out family and cuteness overload with Bear. The main characters are cute as they dance around one another. What do you do when you’re faced with a hot as hell runaway bride and her little brother sidekick making demands? There is no way I am sharing anything else because Sylvie’s work is to be unwrapped layer by layer like a fine chocolate. Sit back and watch the sparks fly in this fabulously entertaining read! Grab it. You know you want to.
Maisy tries her best to please everybody else except herself, that is until she runs from her own wedding with the groom and her father chasing her. She jumps into the nearest car and tells him to drive away fast. Her life is unravelling before her eyes, all she needs to do is save her half brother from her waste of time mother and her new partner. But jilting the groom at the courthouse certainly won't help her. Miller wonders who the heck this woman in the mess of white material with two blokes running after her is. But being Miller he does as she asks and drives away, not expecting what's to come. Miller is the joke in his family he always means well but nothing goes to plan or if it does he can't admit it. His relationship status is non existent because he's not interested in more than a one night stand. But that changes with the woman sat beside him he just knows he has to help her. This is a brilliantly written book, it's funny and has twists and turns that keep you hooked. From looking for Bigfoot and a skunk called Mango. I totally loved everything about it and Millers family totally bring the meaning of protecting each other. I truly hope you'll love it as much as I have. I received this as an ARC copy and this is my own honest opinion and review of the book.
Oh Miller - the kid sure is entertaining! Really glad we got some closure, but who is messing with their home and bar this time?! Bear was the true star of this book - that kid had me rolling. I can only imagine this characters inspiration ;) I cannot wait for Lynn’s book - what a little cliffhanger!

I have been so ready for Millers book, ever since the previous books revolving around Cash and Carters hea he captured my heart. Slightly younger than his siblings but just as captivating. He is considered the rebel of the family -the act now think later kind of person but it doesn’t take away the fact he has a heart of gold and would do anything for the ones he loves ( the relationship between him and his mother is beautiful) Gigi is still a hoot btw. He’s determined to prove his father died through negligence and often gets into trouble. His hea love interest needs to be just as strong and family oriented as him and he finds that in Maisy, a strong and fierce woman who will do anything to keep her brother away from toxic parents. Miller and Maisy have an instant attraction/connection when he rescues her outside the courthouse and it’s wonderful to follow their journey to a hea. It’s not a smooth one as there are people out to get them. This book has drama, humour, great family dynamics, heat, a skunk and so much love. Loved everything about this book and Bear ( Maisy’s little brother) is a special young man. The Brooks brothers are happy and in love so now it’s Lynns turn! Can’t wait.
Miller is his families troublemaker. He will admit he has struggled since his Dad's death but he is trying to mend his ways a little. He never expects to have a runaway bride in his car, nor that he continues to help the stranger by offering her and her half brother a place to stay. He wont deny he is attracted to Maisy but with the mess swirling around her could she feel the same way?
Things are difficult for Maisy, she tried really tried to get a better life for herself but she couldn't do it. Miller turns out to be her rock. With family issues swirling around them both can Maisy take a chance with Miller or is it doomed to fail?
What a delightful series. You fall in love with all the characters, I will say that Bear was my favorite. He is a hoot. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Miller and Maisy and thought it was spot on for his character for Miller to just go with the flow. Another great one by this author.
Miller & Maisy are my favorite couple in this series, love them!! It was worth the wait for Miller’s book, there is so much more to him than what meets the eye. Maisy is an interesting, independent, funny young woman trying to care for her brother Bear & was almost willing to marry for money to do it. Maisy & Bear are wonderful additions to this crazy, lovable family and Miller stepped up to help them, showing her who he really is. Another funny, fantastic, entertaining book with all the feels by this amazing author. You need to read this book & series, you will never be disappointed!! I voluntarily read for an honest review.
Poor Miller hasn't had a great time over the last two books so it's great to finally get to know him! Maisy is a great match for him, fiercely independent and responsible.
It's great to revisit so many other characters in their family and friends, and get to know Bear!
There's a bit of mystery, a dollop of suspense, but also realistic life situations, and character development is as always excellent.
I LOVE the sweet and sexy books of author Sylvie Stewart. Her series grab you by the heart, and give you all the feels as each character follows their journey to their HEA 😍 I adore the Love on Tap series and the Brooks family, and I knew from the first book that screw up brother Miller would turn out to have it all together in the end, and his story did not disappoint!
Full disclosure: Miller’s been my favorite since book #1, and I was curious about the shero who would capture this (not so) bad boy’s heart. I loved Maisy just as much - but frankly, Bear totally stole plenty of scenes (and a piece of my heart)!
Miller is just dealing with his own troubles when Maisie jumps in his car running from her wedding. Miller helps her out and she ends ups staying at his mother’s. Good story.
Maisy’s a runaway bride who finds herself in the courthouse parking lot, jumping into a strangers car to avoid her dad and fiancé who are hot on her heels.
Enter Miller, a really impulsive younger brother who was up to his usual shenanigans and found himself in trouble with the court system. This time he’s let off easy with a fine and some community service. As he leaves the court house he meets Maisy and is her get away driver.
Despite his impulsive nature and run ins with the law he’s actually a decent guy and he helps Maisy get home to her younger brother.
Miller goes out of his way to help both Maisy and her brother Bear. They even end up staying with Miller at his moms house.
Ginny, the mom, was a great character. Her pet skunk was a cute addition though not really unique as I’ve seen a pet skunk in about 5 or 6 different series by now.
Maisy’s mom lives in a trailer with a loser boyfriend and plans to leave the country with Bear. Bears already been in foster care and Maisy’s promised to never leave him alone with their mom again. So, she’s ready to move too. Leaving Miller and their new found relationship behind.
The family characters were nice, though I didn’t feel like I got to know any of them. This is definitely a series where you’ve got to read all the books to really get a feel for the side characters. And let me tell you there were many in this book.
All in all, Miller helps Maisy and Bear. Bears dad, who didn’t know about him, is brought into the picture and all ends well.
I found myself taking a really long time to read this. I probably should have dnf’ed to be honest. The story isn’t bad, but the insta love was just too much here. My only real take always are: He loves her because of her great body and she loves him because he was a decent person who helped her to the best of his ability and of-course we can’t forget the tongue and peen piercing *eye roll.*

Deja Brew All Over Again is my first read from Sylvie Stewart but definitely not my last! I just adored this romance!!!!
Miller sees himself as the family screw-up, although I think he is a little hard on himself. Yes, he has made some decisions that weren’t the best, but boy does this guy have a knight in shining armor’s heart! He loves his family, and I loved how he went completely out of his way to help Maisy and Bear! He was everything that made him a great book boyfriend!!! He’s pretty much irresistible and is the perfect package even though that package might be a little dented.
Maisy was the perfect match for Miller. She has the same heart, and she only wants the best for her little brother, Bear, and she will do just about anything to get him out of the clutches of her horrible, irresponsible mother. UGH! She also saw things in Miller that others necessarily didn’t see. She wasn’t just beautiful…she was smart, intelligent, tenacious, and loyal to those she loved.
I loved Miller’s family! They were just great characters, and I loved how they each accepted and protected Maisy and Bear. And, Bear, there are no words for this precocious little boy. He made me laugh more than anybody in the book. I loved getting to know this wonderful family!!!!!
I was in the mood to read something lighter. I have been reading a lot of thrillers, which I love, but I needed something a bit lighter. This book did not disappoint! It had all the ingredients I love in a romance…a great story, wonderful characters, and a swoony romance. I got all of these things and more in this one. Plus, Stewart is a great writer!!!! I started the series with this particular book, and I can’t wait to go back and get to know all the other characters better! Thanks, Sylvie Stewart, for giving me the book I needed at just the right time!!!
Miller has always classed his self as the screw up in the family, cruising through life not really knowing what he want other than working in Blue Bigfoot Brewery with his brothers. Although when his day in court ends up being more he thought it would be.
Maisy is putting herself in a tricky situation, not wanting to lose her brother but is marrying her friend the way to go, well probably not, in steps her knight in shining armour. Helping her out of a sticky situation Miller is someone she should not be attracted to but he is her bad boy. The chemistry is definitely there and they would be good together she just has to show Miller is good enough and although he maybe rough around the edges he is worth love.
OMG you have done it again. I loved Miller in the other two books the brother who always mess-up but the love the all show each other is wonderful to see. Although this is the three book in this series you can read this book as a stand alone but believe me if you loved this book the other two are just as magical and wonderful.
I have to say the character who stole the show was Bear, Maisy's brother I cried laughing at this nine year old character with the one liners and verbal ramblings was brilliant, also the chemistry between the Miller and Maisy was off the page and I love the way Sylvie writes as you always feel part of the very big Brooks family.
I devoured this book in one sitting and can't wait, fingers crossed for Denny's wedding or Lynn to find that special someone or even Ginny.
If you have not read any of the series or Sylvie's books then I recommend you do they are brilliantly written and all her characters are well developed and just lovely. Thank you and keep on writing lol.
Deja Brew had me laughing out loud. The characters are great. The family drama is real and so funny. Mango is just a delight. Cash was out to break hearts and take names.
Maisy has everything on the line. Her brother, her future, her dad’s approval all hinge on this one little thing that she is about to do. She just can’t bring herself to do it. All she has to do is walk down the aisle and say, “I do.” But, she can’t. Maisy doesn’t know how she will figure out any of the rest of the stuff but she does the one thing that she can. She runs. In her wedding dress and all. Maisy lands herself in the least expected place of all. Miller’s car.
Miller is getting out of the courthouse for something he has not told his family about when he is sitting in the car and she opens his doors, sits down, and tells him to take off. Miller doesn’t know who she is or what is going on, but he puts the pedal to the metal. Miller can’t hide his attraction to this beauty that just plopped herself into his life. While Miller is trying to figure out how to right a few wrongs from his past, he needs to figure out what is chasing this bride and how to protect her.
As Maisy fights to keep her brother, Miller is haunted by his past. As Miller and Maisy grow closer, their problems try to tear them apart. When Maisy has to make a choice of a lifetime, Miller is devastated. Miller finds a way to help Maisy and Cash. So cute!!
This is an amazing addition to this fabulous series. Love the characters. Love the family. Love the humor. Can’t wait for Lynn’s story!! If you haven’t already found a reason to jump into this series, this is it. Maisy, Miller and Cash will win you over in a heartbeat.
This is the 3rd book in the Love On Tap Series. I love loved these small town romances. The author does an amazing job of writing stories which have something for everyone, from drama, heated chemistry and characters that are not afraid to speak their minds. The characters interactions in these stories is what really brings them to life and captivates me in their story. This is the 3rd book in the series and it can be read as a standalone however personally it added to the enjoyment reading them from the beginning. This story is Maisy and Miller's story. Miller has had a tricky time since his dad died and relationships with women are definitely not on his agenda. All he wants is one night stands nothing more but that all changes when a woman in a wedding dress appears jumps into his car and tell him to drive.
Maisy has tried to please everyone all her life. She has done things for everyone else that is until she decides to jilt her lover at the alter(so to speak). Now all she has planned is saving her brother from her no good mother and try to get her life in order. The last thing either Maisy or Miller expected that day was to meet someone they had chemistry with. Miller can see Maisy is in trouble but why is he so determined to help and protect her? This is a heartwarming story with laugh out loud moments. How is Miller going to cope with not only a runaway bride but also her demanding brother? With both of them dealing with family issues can they work through all their stuff and realise what is between them? This is a small town romance and one of the things I loved is that even though Miller is considered the joke of the family when he needs them they all support him 100% really bringing to light the true meaning of family standing by each other.
Miller finally gets his own story and it's about time. Over the past two books, we've learned a little about him but now he gets the spotlight and boy does it start out pretty interesting!
Miller just managed to walk out of the courthouse, elated that he got fined and some community service hours to do. He was fully expecting to find himself in the slammer. Instead, as he's pulling away, a fluffball of white jumps into his car and demands he start driving away. He now has a runaway bride on his hands! Whatever is he going to do with this beautiful creature that is inhabiting the small confines of his car?
Well, being the ....er....respectable man that he is, Miller takes her where she directs him. He's enamored by her though and realizes she works fairly close to the bar where he works with his brothers. Needless to say, he is hoping he will see more of her....and he does.
Maisy's story is pretty interesting as well. She's running away from a marriage of convenience but moreso convenient for her father and not so much for her. She's also worried about her little brother Bear and the life that he's currently living. She finds solace in the Miller's family home and then finds herself in a dilemma that she's not sure she can get out of.
This rom-com is a fun little read. The language is a bit strong and I almost put it down but I'm already invested in this family from the previous two books. This book can be read as a standalone but could be more enjoyable by knowing some back story on the other family members. Lynn's story is next and I look forward to reading more about her, as she's been a pretty silent character up to this point.
Miller Brooks seems to get into nothing but trouble to the disappointment of his family. He tries to do the right thing, but is not sure how much progress he is making. However, even he is startled when a runaway bride “highjacks” his car by diving into the passenger seat and yelling, “Drive!” while two men in suits are running after her. But something about her situation made him want to help her. He takes Maisy Romero to her mother’s trailer where she finds her younger brother Bear has not gone to school because his mother got up late and he missed the bus. She and her brother have no place to go, but she has to get him away from their dysfunctional family. She also doesn’t want to stick around since her “former groom” Jameson will be heading this way to drag her back to the courthouse.
Not seeing a car anywhere, Miller knows she has no way to get wherever she implied she was going. And with her purse still at the courthouse, she doesn’t have a phone or money with her. So he offers to let them stay with his mom (Ginny Brooks) and him. He actually becomes a hero to her because he genuinely tries to help her and she already knows she can rely on him. Will Maisy and Miller fall for each other? Could her trust in him be the reason he wants to actually change and become that hero she sees when she looks at him?
There is much more going on, but it’s more fun for you to read the rest of the details on your own and get to know all of the characters better. Is the story headed for a HEA? Grab your copy and see how their situations resolve.
I thoroughly enjoy this series! And though Deja Brew All Over Again isn’t my favorite it’s an extremely close second to book 1. I love the characters the author has created. The depth of each Brooks family member is beautifully developed as you read their character's story. All the books are connected in succession, so you could try to read it independently, but it’s better starting with book 1 and working your way through. This book in particular focuses on the troublemaker. At least that’s how he’s made out to be. Miller was a teen when his father died of negligence during a routine procedure and he hasn’t been the same since. Did he get into trouble, sure what teenager doesn’t but the family makes it seem like it more so because he could. His life changed for the better when he found out his latest arrest would not lead to jail time. Since that incident brought him to the courthouse he never would’ve imagined he would be gunning it away with a beautiful runaway bride in tow. Maisy is trying to figure out her life. What’s best for her and her little brother. However one thing she does realize is marrying Jameson isn’t it. When she jumps in Miller’s car it sets off events for a life change she wasn’t expecting. Can Miller let go of his playboy ways? What about Maisy is she willing to ignore what’s right in front of her? A series of unfortunate events that impact the entire Brooks family is the beginning of what truly starts to bring these two together. The question is, who’s the enemy this time? That and so many more come to mind while reading this story. It’s great and I loved it. Now it’s your turn to check it out and feel the same way.
It was a good book, I didn't expect it to be a mystery, but I liked it.
Miller and Maisy were spectacular, from Miller getting in trouble with the law to Maisy taking care of his little brother (who was the main character of this entire book for me), they made a good couple, the story flows very well and I did not see any great drama. If I like anything it's the found family trope and even more so when it doesn't feel forced and here it felt good, it felt right, how Miller's family opened their doors to Maisy and little Bear was what I liked most about this book.
A story that reads quickly, some charming characters, although even though it is a standalone, I think it is better to read the previous books for a better reading (which I am going to do right now).
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Settled immediately into this book like coming home to a roaring fire, roasting marshmallows with loved ones. At 50% in I was going back to reread sections, savoring every word.
Sylvie had set up Miller in the previous 2 books so his maturing was fascinating & credible. I normally do not get into MC that are so young, but Miller & Maisy had each lived through circumstances & experiences that earned my empathy & respect as an older reader. They both had such big hearts it was impossible not to fall in love with them. Miller was yummy & heroically devious. Maisy’s challenges brought to mind how hard women work just to survive.
Maisy & Miller were the love interest, but in true Sylvie Stewart style, there was a huge cast of characters including family & friends whom we are already familiar with from past books. All these personalities interact to enrich the story. Oh to have Ginny as a mother! Impossible not to love Bear and feel heartbreak at his life situation. Driscoll had an interesting arc that came from behind. But where oh where is Larry??? Guessing we’ll find out in Lynn’s story.
This entire series has been brilliantly written, with each book exceeding the last one. Far more than just an achingly sweet love story; this book had serious steam, mystery, twists, and surprises. I did not see that ending coming! The cover art was gorgeous- so refreshing to see a character exactly as described by the author.
Plenty of zingers from an absolutely charming kid, a little spice, and a whole lot of fighting for your family, this book is completely entertaining and fun! Miller is known for getting into a little trouble now and then, but nothing quite prepares him for a runaway bride to jump in his car and demand he be her getaway driver. But Maisy is running out of options in her life and jumping in a stranger’s car seemed like the right thing to do at the time. Except her charming and sexy stranger wants to help her out and even though she’s a little skeptical, he might be her best short-term bet while she figures out what she’s gonna do. Miller isn’t sure he can be anyone’s white knight, but Maisy definitely makes him want to try. Seriously cute read, definitely a few laugh out loud moments, and overall just a great book! I love that Miller is willing to break a few laws for Maisy, her little brother Bear is king of awesome one lines since he thinks he’s a little Casanova, and Maisy is such a fighter. And Miller’s family, if you’ve read any of the other books in this series it’s so good to see what his brothers are up to, if not it can be read as a standalone and still be enjoyable, but the dynamic between the siblings is so great in every book. Another fantastic book in the Love on Tap series!
What happens when you get the black sheep of the family and a runaway bride.... well let me tell you what happens...you get an AWESOME book! Miller, our main character has always considered himself as the black sheep of the family, cruising through his life not really knowing what he wants. The only thing that he has ever been sure of is that he wanted to be working in Blue Bigfoot Brewery with his brothers. If only he knew that his life was about to become so much more interesting!
Maisy, our other main character, finds herself in a unique situation, is marrying her friend really the best decision that she has made, or is this going to be a disaster. She quickly finds out that she is going to meet her knight in shining armor! Miller is the bad boy she never knew she needed in her life but is the chemistry so strong that they will end up staying together, or will it fall apart in their faces.
I read this book as a standalone, but I will 100% be going back and reading the two previous books in the series! The author had a great way of bringing the characters to life and making you feel like you were in the book with them! The dialogue was awesome and that just made the book that much better! I read this book pretty quickly and I enjoyed every second of it! I can't wait to see if there is going to be a continuation of this great series!
Each book in this series is a new surprise for me. Every character truly owns their book in the best way and speaks with their own authentic voice, and acts to bring their personality to the page. So far each brother has stolen a piece of my heart, and I knew that when Miller got his story it would be equal parts comedy and heart touching, and Stewart did not disappoint. I'm not sure how much to say without giving away spoilers for this beautifully paced and touching story, because there is so much that connects Miller's story to the super narrative that joins the series. But, I can say with certainty that you will be addicted to the romance between Miller and Maisy. What starts out with a wonderful Runaway Bride Screwball Comedy quickly develops into a beautiful story about the lengths that love will take you. With banter, wit, comedy and just the right amount of drama, not to mention Stewart's unique blend of sweet and steamy romantic moments, this book hit all the high marks for me and truly deserves its place in the 5 Star Series Love on Tap.
If you are new to the series, no worries, you can begin with Miller's story. Everything you need is right here... but, I bet you will be back for Ale's Fare in Love in War, Cash and Hollis's story, as well as Smooth Hoperator, Sunny and Carter's story as well.
Sylvie Stewart is back with Love on Tap- and I cannot even express how excited I was for Miller's story. I think that his character had sparked the most interest for me since the beginning and for the carefree almost careless attitude he wears as a facade- he's got the biggest heart.
Deja Brew All Over Again is a entertaining and fun runaway bride romance that also has these snippets of intrigue and mystery. Miller just happened to be in the right place at the right time when Maisy Romero ran away from her wedding and then basically becomes her knight in semi-shiny armor when he continues to be the answer to her problems.
I love the instant spark that catches between these two and how easily Miller seemed to slip Maisy and her brother Bear into not only his life but in his family as well. At first glance these two don't make sense- Miller has that bad boy look- piercings, tattoos, motorcycle and leather jacket while Maisy comes from a more clean cut kind of world- where image is 3/4 of the battle. But Maisy is the sweetest, and while she has some hang ups on family or being vulnerable enough to accept help from others without strings attached I kind of love how she almost softens Miller's edges while also accepting him for exactly who he is while he gives her the confidence and strength to stand up for herself and her brother.
This is the first time that I felt like we really got to dig a little more into the patriarch of the Brooks family and I love hearing Ginny share that Miller really is just a copy of his dad- "protectiveness of a lion with the impulsiveness of a squirrel monkey". And that really does fit Miller to a "T".
I love that there was a little more closure on the tragedy surrounding his father's death but there are still some loose strings hanging out there surrounding the Brooks family.
I can't wait for more Love on Tap- heaven help the guy that falls for Lynnie as I'm sure all 4 of her big brothers will go into overprotective mode despite the fact that she can handle them and anyone else.
Having read the prior books in this series, I was looking forward to this book too. This large, rambunctious family and the Blue Bigfoot Beer brewery in Ashville has hooked me. This is Miller’s story, the youngest brother. It was my first time reading an early 20s, blue collar romance, and I think the author did a fantastic job. Miller has tattoos, piercings, and works at his brothers’ brewery while saving for a motorcycle. He’s had some misdemeanors and is considered a bit of a screw-up. Thanks to engaging dual points of view, it becomes clear that Miller actually has integrity, loyalty and a huge heart. Miller and Maisy have a “meet cute” when she runs away from her wedding. Maisy has a complicated background and is working as a barista while trying to take care of her younger half-brother. Readers will fall in love with 9-yr old “Bear.” Miller and Maisy’s story has plot twists, character development, romance, heat and the perfect HEA for these characters. I was surprised to find that I didn’t want to put their story down, and I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series. Recommended! I received an advance copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Right from the start I found myself chuckling with the story. Miller was hiding his case from his family the best the could. We see when he gets back to the restaurant how that turns out. Maisy is running away from a marriage that she doesn’t really want. She’s doing her best to protect her brother, Bear, from her mother. Between the two of them, there are some issues that are deep and need to be resolved. I do find that these two are like a bit of a healing salve for each other. Miller, a former playboy, doesn’t want any other girl now. Maisy is attracted to Miller and is finding that he makes her happy. Bear has a role to play with everyone. He’s a terrific kid that brings a smile to everyone. He’s my favorite character in the story. He’s so good and innocent. This is a terrific book that has romance, comedy, and drama. When Maisy drops into Miller’s front seat, you can feel the Runaway Bride vibes. It’s a fun story that will have you smiling. There is great chemistry. There are familiar faces that appear in the story from previous books. It can be read as a standalone or in order in the series.
Deja Brew All Over Again is the third entertaining book in the Love on Tap series by Sylvie Stewart. I have loved the previous two instalments, so I had pretty high expectations for this third addition, so I am happy to report that Ms. Stewart definitely didn’t disappoint here (does she ever though). This is Miller and Maisy’s story, and we have previously met Miller the first two books, and he hasn’t had an easy run- so I wasn’t sure what to expect- but I LOVED getting to know these two- and this book just might be my new favourite of the series. It’s getting harder to pick a favourite as each new instalment comes out, they just seem to get better and better. This is a superb romcom with a ‘runaway bride’ element that certainly made things interesting right away- the story also has plenty of feels and emotion to balance the fun and humour. The funny quips, banter, one-liners, chemistry, sizzle, family dynamics, drama, small town setting/dynamics, sizzle, and intriguing developments made this an entirely engrossing read. I really recommend this book, and I can’t wait to get my hands on Book #4! Happy Reading!
A good story but not my favorite of the series. This is a runaway bride story and the meet cute is exactly what I expected. From there it gets interesting. I really enjoy this family and all the extenders that come with it. The fun this family has together is what everyone wants their family to be. I liked the wonder and freshness that Bear brought to the equation.
My major concern or dislike about the story is maturity. Miller is a guy who gets into trouble even unintentionally so I expected a lot of hijinks in this one. It was pretty tame on that front. I almost wish this was set a few years later so Miller would be older and 22 and be ready to settle. He just seemed so wild then to drop like a fly is just weird. Now Maisy is even younger than Miller. The difference is she has had to be “older” her entire life. Between piano and Bear she needed to always be the more mature than a normal 20 yo. So with her I get the whole “found the one”.
Overall this is a good story and nice addition while setting up Lynn’s storyline. But the answer to the question of “Where is Larry?” will haunt me
It only took me a day to read this book. I couldn’t put it down, it’s definitely my favorite of the series. (Should I say so far? Is it possible there will be more with Lynn?) There’s an instant chemistry with Miller and Maisy. Their relationship moved fast but it worked, it felt like I was reading characters who have known each other for years. Bear is awesome, I couldn’t help myself thinking who would name their kid Bear? But his personality is great and you just can’t help falling in love with this kid. I’m glad that Miller got along with him so well too. The family gets some closure with the Doctor and their fathers death and I’m really glad they got this, they needed this. My only fault with the story is the fire and the break in. I felt those were big things and them just being a fluke doesn’t sit right with me. Also, I know “don’t judge a book by its cover.” The cover looks great, I would pick this up in a store just looking at it, but that guy just doesn’t say Miller to me. This is just a light, feel good story, it has a little spice but not so much that it takes away from the story.
Another fun, lighthearted romantic comedy in this enjoyable and engaging series. It can be read as a standalone story or as part of the series. Having read and enjoyed the previous books I recommend reading the series. Miller is shocked when he’s carjacked by a very pretty girl in a wedding dress, but as the family screw-up he’s not sure he can be her knight in shining armour. Runaway bride Maisy and her little brother need Miller’s help, but he’s just got out of jail and trouble seems to find him. However, Maisy sees the good in him and is determined that others see that too, including Miller himself. Miller knows he should be pushing her away for her own good, but can’t help asking himself if he could be her knight after all. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I loved the likeable and relatable characters, both old and new. The chemistry between Maisy and Miller sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes. The small town feel came across in the descriptive narrative and I felt immersed in the storyline.
