Obviously much further into the Ninjago series, this story speaks of New Ninjago City as being one that is tech-friendly and free from any enemies. All the former ninja are teaching young students. When they head out to a field trip at the new tech hub, everyone is amazed by all the technology. However, there are some who lurk in the shadows and want to cause issues. There is a battle that commences and, with new outfits, weapons, and determination, the ninja swoop into action. Defeating the enemies, all seems well and good, but there is a plan to raise an army of nindriods. Stay tuned for the next instalment (as I await with bated breath!). Neo likes the Ninjago series and we have been devouring them as quickly, as we can. Fun all around and something to pass the time.

My six year old son loves these books. I've been reading them to him over the past year. This particular one we read a few weeks ago. Now that he's in first grade he is so proud that he can finally read some books with a little help. This reader is a little advanced; it's not exactly for a beginning reader, but when I read to my son he enjoys saying aloud the words that he knows. This particular story is fast paced and full of excitement. Perfect for any little boy or girl who loves action packed stories, especially about ninjas! It's the eighth book in the series, which can be read as a standalone, but I think you'd get more enjoyment out of it if you've been following the story from the beginning. I just wish they'd include the number of the book somewhere on the cover! It get a bit tiresome always having to organize the books and figure out which one comes next. That one annoyance, however, does not affect the fact that as far as my six year old is concerned, this is a five star read!

My favorite part is when they had a field trip to Borg Industries, where they make all the evil nindroids.

If you're moving on from Book #7, this book skips all the rest of season #2 (the 'birth' of the Overlord, his defeat by Lloyd and Garmadon turning good) and takes you right into episode 1 of season 3 (and as always, nothing you missed is explained clearly, so just roll with it). The boys are visiting Borg Tower, but look out! The Overlord uploaded into its system and is controlling its army of Ninja robots - 'nindroids.' Mayhem awaits. Best of all you meet Pixal for the first time.

March 2017 - I can tolerate these books if they at least have appealing illustrations. These were just awful, tiny screen grabs from the TV show, I think.

It was okay. It was based off of the first episode of ninjago season 3. I liked how they included the whole pudding cup thing like in the episode, but I didn't like how they didn't evwn mention the love machine Nya tried. Which is my favorite part.😪 there's not really any new content in the book, ot was mostly just a quick reminder of what happend in the episode.

Based on the LEGO Ninjago TV series. During a field trip to Borg Industries, the ninjas find themselves on a new mission - protect the Techno Blades and defeat the Overlord. Good for fans of LEGO Ninjago.
