Some say love, it is a river that drowns the tender reed. Others say love, it is far less useful than evil; whereas love is only helpful in situations involving bunnies, unicorns, and other pink animals, evil is applicable whenever a horde of marauding soldiers invade your homeland with the sole purpose of domination, where an Elf and a sadistic Warlock are all that stand between you and the abyss.
I'm enjoying the growth of the group, although Cale's story jumped quite a bit and they didn't really show him getting from where he started to where he ended up, just the beginning and end.
I enjoy the pop culture references. I'm sure there are many that I'm missing. I also like when they send Richard off to fight a thing on his own that looks like a WoW raid boss. Seems like when you run a low raid when you are high level.
I'm not really into comics because, in my opinion, they require some time to be appreciated - you can't just rush through them like you do with a plain-text book. And it's not so easy to have that much time to spare these days. But this is really worth it.
It starts off as a RPG/gamer parody with very neat and pretty to look at graphics and soon you realise there is SO much more. Every single thing that happens seems to be either a reference or something they will get back to in 200 pages. Everything has a reason, and that's what I like the most about it. There's comedy, romance, gore, epic battles, epic sadness, epic lines... And I can safely say all of it is better done than in most books we read nowadays. Plus, so many details! Like the background or, again, the references...!
The only bad point is that it is very specific. If you're not a gamer or know little of nerd/pop culture (like books and TV shows), it certainly won't be any good for you.
Just as good as the first two. Hilarious, fun, great character and artwork. My only complaint in the series is that sometimes, it can be a bit sacrilegious. There is no need for that.
