Rate this book
Book 3, the final chapter in the widely acclaimed 'Shadow' series, is another must read for thriller fans. After two years in prison for the torture/murder of serial killer, Reuben Henderson, Jack Parmenter travels back to Colville, Maine. His aim: to convince his estranged wife, Callie, to take him back, to reestablish the life they once shared. But when Jack arrives in town he learns Callie is missing. Then, to his dismay, evidence unfolds indicating she may have killed a cop on the Colville force. To make matters even worse a probable witness is also missing.
Jack's search for his wife and the truth behind what really happened and why, will keep readers glued to their Kindles.

In my opinion this was the weakest of the three book series. I find that sometimes, that the third book is the worst. Its as if the author has run out of steam.

Jack Parameter is released from prison two years after he was convicted of torturing and killing the sadistic serial killer Reuben Henderson. All he wants to do is see his wife Callie again but she is missing. Even worse, there are suspicions that she may have killed a Colville police officer. So Jack sets off to find his wife and the truth. The book has some moments but there is less action and more introspection than the previous two. I thought it pretty average, hence three stars.

ALL THREE BOOKS ARE A MUST READ!

I recommend reading this story in order - CAME A SHADOW, A SHADOW FELL, and THE SHADOW'S EDGE. Each book flows beautifully to the next. In this trilogy, you get it all, including true love and suspense to the worst of all evil. Once you start, you won't be able to put this trilogy down until the end. I will definitely be following Patrick Dakin.

Excellent reading of the #3 of the Shadow trilogy...Although it had me on the edge of my seat, not wanting to let my e-reader on charge for too long, just to see what happened to Jack, Miles, Betty and of course Callie...Thanks to Patrick Dakin for these awesome books.

Now that readers have found out what Jack Parmenter did to get revenge for the evil done to his family, we get to find out what happens after he gets out of prison. His wife, Callie, is not the woman she once was, but he still loves her and wants nothing more than to have a quiet life with her. But something has happened to Callie while Jack was in prison, and we find out what lengths she will go to in order to protect her future with Jack. How far will Jack go to protect Callie when he finds out what has happened? Are there limits to what one will do for a loved one? Worth the read to find out.

I rated this a 4.0. This is book 3 of the shadow series. Good plot, fast read. After getting out of prison for the torture & murder of a serial killer, Jack tries to convince his wife Callie to return to him. Finds out wife is missing and charged with killer a policeman. He must find her and prove her innocence.

Good read

This was a good book but not great like the first and second books of the series. The plot and story were good and moved along. Over all I would recommend the Shadow Series to my friends and anyone who likes a thriller mystery.
