Illustrations are great, but the words of the book are pretty scattered. I wish it either did facts about animals or conversations on the page and not alternate both. just how it is written is really random.
Genre: Picture Book (Board Book) Award: NA Audience: Infants A. I know that this is a board book because of the thick material the book is made from and because there aren't too many words on each of page. B. One element that was used throughout the book was space. The words were always written in an easily visible area. the animals were always the center of attention with the words to the side, either in the sky or in the grass. Tjos contributes to the story by allowing children to understand the necessity of print within the story. It also contributes to the story by putting as much focus on the text as the pictures which is very important for children as they are introduced to print text. C. I could use this book to talk about words that describe time of day. "good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night." I would not use this book in any other circumstance. D. What animals were told good morning? Answer: Kangaroos, gorilla, and elephant
Little guy loves this one in the series. Wide range of people, wording not as stilted as some in the series, nice little facts and observations about various animals.
